Use gray OpenCL

I recently updated my Photoshop, and in doing so, I discovered that oil painting my option was grayed out. I made sure that my document is in RGB color mode - it was - then headed to the Advanced preferences - Performance - settings. That's when I noticed that Use OpenCL was also grey. I decided to reinstall Photoshop completely to see if that fixes the issue, but he didn't.

My graphics (GTX 680) card supports this feature and has drivers updated - recently updated August 19, 2016.

Someone knows how to fix this?

For some reason any driver returns an error that causes the sniffer to disable OpenCL

  • SOUL use multiple OpenCL GPU?

Hi, I have a MacBook Pro (i7 2.8 GHz, 16 GB RAM) of the retina 2014 with an Intel Pro Iris (1.5 GB) & GeForce GT 750 m (2 GB).

I was wondering if SOUL appealed to the Pro of the Iris and the GT 750 m during export. According to benchmarking LuxMark, Iris Pro is much faster that the GeForce to OpenCL tasks, so I want to just make sure that the SOUL is making the most of my system.

No way to force the OpenCL any calculation on the Iris Pro instead of the GeForce?

    Hi Frickenphil,

Hi, I have a MacBook Pro (i7 2.8 GHz, 16 GB RAM) of the retina 2014 with an Intel Pro Iris (1.5 GB) & GeForce GT 750 m (2 GB). I was wondering if SOUL appealed to the Pro of the Iris and the GT 750 m during export.

The MacBook Pro will only use the discrete GPU in the encoding process. In other words, the NVIDIA GPU. GPU Intel Iris Pro are disabled for the encoding, as is the Integrated GPU, not the discrete GPU. The discrete GPU should run when Premiere Pro and Media Encoder are launched, because they depend on the GPU in this scenario.

No way to force the OpenCL any calculation on the Iris Pro instead of the GeForce?

Sorry, no. I'm afraid that you are not able to switch to the GPU integrated at the launch of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. The discrete GPU should be used with these applications in the MacBook Pro. You can test this with gfxCardStatus.

    Thank you

  • How to use force GRAY of smoothing fonts in Web (Linux 64) mode?

    FX 2.1 release notes says:
"Applications can also opt-in to use the text of the LCD on the text node scenegraph at low altitude by a new API."
for example: setFontSmoothingType (FontSmoothingType.LCD), but on what node?

I assume that this applies as well for javafx - sdk2.2.0 - beta, and I can also change globally smoothing to FontSmoothingType.GRAY. Why? b/c LCD is just horrible on my screen, barely readable... but I can wait until the beta will FCS.

Could someone give me an example on how to use GRAY text by setting the text node scenegraph at low altitude on a WebView?

    Have you tried:

        System.setProperty("prism.lcdtext", "false");

I hate LCD smoothing because it makes fonts look like multicolored left letters, so I've just driven it in the world for my program.

  • Hi there I can not choose colors in photoshop. He let me just use grey and Pentecost. someone at - he had that before?

    Hi all

IM new to Photoshop, but did a few things with him.

I have a problem at the point where I can not choose what color I would like to use in photoshop. I can only use gray and white.

    Any help would be great.

JJMack is right. Most of the time this happens when you have a channel, or a selected layer mask, not a pixel layer. Open the channels Panel to see exactly what is active. The RGB channel at the top should be active. It is, you can choose colors beyond black and white. If you are on an adjustment layer, you implement a layer with pixels.

  • In RGB mode, why paste 50% gray in a layer mask actually put K 59% in the mask?

Create a new (small) document in RGB mode, 8-bit, transparent background.

Fill the layer 1, resulting with 50% gray, 100% opacity.  The reports = (128,128,128) RGB eyedropper.

Copy the layer to the Clipboard.

Create a new layer 2. Fill it with green #00ff00 (content doesn't really count).

Add a layer mask to the layer 2.

    Wear this mask during installation.

Paste the contents of the Clipboard.  The pipette noted the content of the mask as K 59%.

    I expect 50% gray (or K 50%). Why have I not 59% K?

    Additives:

I'm using CS3 on Mac. I didn't get to see if the same thing happens with newer versions of PS.

Apply the layer mask in the layer 2. Excerpt from the transparency in a new layer.  The pipette gives the RGB of the

    new layer as (106,106,106), with pixel-by-pixel variations plus/minus 1.

Take the difference between this new layer and layer 1; the pipette gives the RGB difference as (22,22,22),

Once again with variations of plus/minus 1.

Paste the contents of the Clipboard into a new layer.  The pipette gives this new RGB content

layer as (128,128,128), both without and with a black & white adjustment applied.

Create a new layer, add a layer mask, fill the mask with 50% gray. The pipette gives the content of

the new title (128,128,128) (now as expected) master.

The 50% gray used above is just for simplicity. I am really interested in inserting a complicated RGB

image containing only shades of gray in the layer mask. This example shows that the collage will not

preserve the levels of gray. Indeed, when I replace the first 50% of grey with a black and white gradient.

the differences between the initial gradient and in the mask included roughly quadratic between 0 to 0,

    22 128 and 0 to 255.

It is a grayscale image, interpreted according to your work of gray.

Use Gray Gamma 2.2 and you will get 50%.

EDIT: actually I think you could use sGray, who has the accurate sRGB transfer function - which is not strictly a pure gamma. But it wouldn't be right with for example Adobe RGB.

  • Comments - not a design bright pleasant keyboard

Recently bought a Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop. Looked good in the shop under the Nice bright lighting however once I got it home under normal lighting key lettering is hard to see.

The design of the laptop uses gray lettering dark on the black keys. Funky Yes, but easy to see under normal lighting... certainly not! Worse even on an aircraft.

I hope that Toshiba will take into account the lighting on the future design of keyboards.

Can you please tell us what model of laptop do you have?

  • How can I install software on a disc for an iMac 17 "2006

    I have a 17 "iMac Core duo 2.0 end of 2006 model A1208 (EMC2114)

The hard drive does not so I replaced it with a Seagate 320 GB Firmware RP13

I also upgraded the RAM to 4 GB DDR 2 665 years.

In the diagnosis of the disk utility window, I checked all the components, optical drive, ram etc, all looks fine.

Whenever I try to install OSX 10.5 software all that he says; Mac OS x cannot install software on this computer

Then I go into disk utility formatted the disk, I tried Fat32 and journaled Mac

In both cases, all I get is the option of disk utility.

I tried to install 10.3 or 10.4 but with both of them, he never read the DVD

I went on this loop has dozed times, I also tried the option key or command in fact all of the options that I could online, none of them gave me different results.

I don't have the diskettes of origin provided with the computer as it was given to me.

    Thanks in advance

If you use gray installation disks from another computer, it will not work. You shoukd probably get a detail of disk in Snow Leopard http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard

You can use disk utility to partition as 1 partition using the GUID partition scheme and format as Mac OS Extended journaled. Then install OS X and update using software update.

  • Maintenance/cleaning inkjet HP 7310 all-in-one.

    Hi all

    I have an HP Officejet 7310 all-in-one.  Model # SDOB - 0305 - 02 (MY5BOP85SD / Q3461A). I am running Win 7, SP 1

I can't find my manual for my office move in different rooms of the House.  Long story!

I was not held with maintenance as I should.  Now, I get a message that the printer is out of paper, just after filling it.  And when he picks up a leaf, it seems for once to the battery out of reach.

Second problem I have is when I scan a document in color or an image.  There is a yellow stripe that goes down to the right of the sheet.  If I use gray-scale, I noticed a slight gray color.  I don't notice any different shading.

The third question concerns the automatic document feeder.  He picks up several pages, or anything.

Where can I download a copy of the manual?

I would be grateful, and can anyone provide a fast Reader Digest version to solve the above problems.

Very much appreciated.  Will write more on me later.

    Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,.

instead of treating your mesh as a subject in its own right with its own colours, think that it is simply something that changes what you have underneath. Just use gray with different opacities and blending modes (multiply for the shadows, screen for highlights.
