  Genius diagnosed bad trackpad in my MacBook 2012. Rather than sending repair ($310), I bought Magic Trackpad 2 to work around the problem. Engineering directed me to go to the preference of accessibility, and then click "Ignore built in mouse or trackpad when wireless trackpad is present." I've had that happen and that you can use Magic Trackpad 2 to point and click HOWEVER no other features are available. I can't tap, pinch, rotate, etc. When I click on Preferences of the Magic Trackpad 2, I see a screen indicating that the trackpad prefs are disabled, with no way to turn on the features of the Magic Trackpad 2. Anyone know how I can release all the Magic Trackpad 2 features while ignoring the built in trackpad?

  As long as the built-in trackpad is not interfering with your comments in a way (for example causing unwanted movements of the cursor) I would have thought you could disable 'ignore' and just use the external trackpad.

  You can try resetting the smu or zapping the pram, faling that, try to boot from the recovery partition (close, and then press command + R while re-booting (.)) Instructions on how to do the 2 first things found on Apple's site, if you are lazy like me, google works fine, too

  Hello. I tried to solve a problem with my magic trackpad for two weeks now, and I'm running out of ideas, so I thought I'd see if anyone has any.   I have a virtual machine to work in "VMWare Workstation 8.x" with Mac OSX Lion (I corrected my computer to do).

  I converted this virtual machine with VMWare Converter Standalone 5.1.x in vSphere ESX 5.1 and, after the successful conversion, I properly configure the type of operating system like Mac OS Lion.

  In ESX, the virtual machine starts, but stuck with the Apple logo and the spinning wheel of progress. So my questions are:

  • Do you have advice on how to fix this?
  • How to enter in "verbose" mode in vSphere? I tried to delay the start and be ready to press the two 'CTRL + v' or 'WIN + v' or 'ALT + v', but nothing has worked.

  I have a Photosmart C4580. I upgraded my Mac OSX Lion book about 6 months ago. Reinstalled the printer software and had no problems. It is up to AT & T Uverse sent me a new gateway/modem. I have of course with the new wireless modem get the printer connected to the network. I couldn't get this to work so I decided to uninstall and reinstall the printer. When I go to the HP website there are no drivers for this printer for Mac OSX. I'm not a tech savvy person, btw. Thank you.

  It seems that you have installed the printer twice and there is some sort of bug with the printer 'offline '. I would just move forward a delete it if everything works as it should with the new printer 'lazy '.

  Yes, it is true, unfortunately. You can store a catalog and images on a removable disk, but not a network drive.

  I had the strangest question with my Magic Trackpad 2 on El Capitan (10.11.3.) When I am in the window of one application and tap/click to another application window, application of the new window comes to the foreground, but the old app is still under discussion.   Anyone else having this problem? It drives me crazy and makes use of the Magic Trackpad 2 on OS X pretty useless.

• Mac OSX Lion does not install

  I use ESXi 5.1 HP on the server of the Gen8 identification mark

  Install a new virtual machine to run a MAC OSX Lion

  Copied on the Mac to install OS X Lion.app in the data store.

  Started the VM which seems ok. The apple screen is popping up and spinning CD is running.

  It ends there, with no further action.

  Computer configured virtual: 8 GB 4 CPU - 300 GB disk

  Also tried on by converting the dmg to iso-> no luck

  Any idea is welcome.

  To legally install this OS in a virtual machine, the underlying hardware that ESXi is installed on must be Apple.

  Discuss this further in these communities would be a violation of the terms of use.

  Recently, I buy the Magic Trackpad 2 to use with my iMac.  Whenever my computer goes to sleep the trackpad disconnects and I have to turn it off and turn it on back to connect.  The battery does not seem to be the problem - is 98%.
