'Use the settings' for the Proxy is activated automatically when Firefox is opened. Why? I want to use 'No Proxy'.

When I open Firefox, it requires a loading time of pages. When I go into networking, activate "No. Proxy" to "Use system settings", and every time that I open it again, the system settings is back and slow page loading.

Yes, you can STROKE around the button of the active state. You must select the button, then go to the States, click on 'Active' and add STROKE.

    Ah! I see something!

Your troubleshooting information, says that there is a file user.js in your profile folder

The user.js file appears only if you or another software created, therefore, normally, he wouldn't be here.
The user.js file is read whenever you launch Firefox and initializes the preferences to the value specified in this file.

Delete a possible user.js file and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

Rename (or delete) the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-# .js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

  • The microphone sensitivity lowers automatically when I'm stronger on Windows 7

I'm a Youtuber, and it's very hard to learn, get good quality recordings because my microphone sensitivity will always shrink automatically when I'm too strong. It interferes with my projects that I'm doing, and I really need a solution for this problem. I tested this out with several microphones, so I know that the problem is not my microphone I have. If anyone has an idea how to ensure that the volume of the microphone is not to lower automatically, please help me.

    Hi Jason,

What software do you use for recording using your microphone?

If you use any third party software, I suggest to test the issue using the tape recorder to Windows and check to see if the same problem persists.

  • Menu bar and 'new tab' button are white when firefox is open, each button becomes visible when the mouse passes over it. How can I fix it?

The individual buttons reappear as the mouse moves over them. (file, edit, view, etc.)

If hardware acceleration is the cause of the problems then this means that Firefox is unable to use the GPU to your chart view card in order to unload the main processor and perform actions more quickly.

You may not notice any difference is most cases.
The only solution is to check if there is an update of the driver for your graphics card.

  • How can I change the programs that start automatically when I turn on my computer?

I have several programs that slow down my departure upward.  I didn't not use programs and would that they won't start does not automatically.

I have several programs that slow down my departure upward.  I didn't not use programs and would that they won't start does not automatically.

First of all, note that you should be in * all * the programs that start automatically, not only with those who are in the system tray. Not all the programs auto-start manifesting by an icon in the status bar.

On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its Options to see if she has the choice to not start (make sure that you actually choose to not run, not simply a "don't display the icon" option). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If this does not work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line and on the Startup tab, uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.

However, if I were you, I wouldn't do this just for the purpose of the minimum number of running programs. Despite what a lot of people tell you, you should be concerned, not with the way * a lot * of these programs you run, but * that *. Some of them can seriously affect the performance, but others have no effect on performance.

Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do is to determine what each program is that its value is for you and what the performance cost is running all the time. You can try searching the Internet and ask questions about the details here.

Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.

  • How can I stop the page to reload automatically when I hit the back button?

A few months back, I upgraded to a new laptop, and since then, when I hit the back button, it refreshes the previous page from what I can understand. On my last laptop, if I was doing some research on a site and click the previous button, the search bar would be automatically ready to hit the BACKSPACE and delete what is there for a new search. Now, when I hit the back button, I have to manually click inside the search box to do, and I hate it. When you are doing research on multiple sites, like this time savers really help. This applies to regular sites (forums, online stores, etc.), not search like Google sites.

I don't have this problem on my old laptop and does not know how to solve this problem on this one. They are the two Win7 x 64, and version of the browser is not the issue. I started Firefox on this computer that same exact on the last of them, and after the updates, it's always the same. I am currently on 8.0 but will soon be upgrading to the new.

Do you mean that the search bar on this page focus?

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • How to stop the tab 'Getting started with Mozilla Firefox' to open every time I open FF?

Everytime I open FF, the tab "Getting started with Mozilla Firefox" opens. I checked and it is not in my list of homepage.

If I open any additional windows, it does not open.

But, once I close all the and reopen it again, the tab opens.

I had a similar problem with some addons (ietab) do the same thing.

I found the fix for it.

About: config, filter for 'Start '

Ones you want to should appear at the bottom.

    Startup.homepage_override_url and startup.homepage_welcome_url

Double-click on each one and delete the text string. Close and reopen the window to check that it worked.

As I deleted them both at the same time, I'm not sure who was the culprit. So, I suggest starting by striking first and tests before deleting this one.

(PIN) App tabs and groups of tabs (Panorama) are stored in session data in the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder.

Make sure that you do not remove the navigation, search and download history on Firefox to clear the 'browsing history' when Firefox is closed because who wins and prevent Firefox tabs from the previous session.

  • I can't use the shortcut click ctrl + enter in firefox 4. Why? How should I do?

Normally, I can type the name of the site followed by ctrl + enter, and I can access it immediately. For example, after I typed 'google' in the address bar, I normally press ctrl + enter afterwards, and it would automatically become "www.google.com" in the address bar. If I do it now, nothing happens. Not only that, if I type the url and click on enter, nothing happened. Is it possible to fix this?

For now, the only way to go is to press the arrow go to launch the web. The shortcut is defective.
