Use the TV as a second monitor wireless

I have Window vista premimum can set up a wireless connection between my computer and the television, I want to be able to use the TV as a second monitor or to be able to look at what's on TV on my computer and visa versa?

Hello

(1) your subject line has nothing to do with your question. If you have the glass effects, then Aero is running. See: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-is-Windows-Aero

(2) you cannot configure a wireless connection to your TV as a monitor, it must be physically connected to an external monitor to your computer connection.

(3) you can't watch TV on your computer unless you have the correct tuner added on or integrated to the system card.

Please try to limit your problems to one topic per message with the subject that corresponds to the question. Different users with different types of expertise can then address all your problems. Help a friend tries to use Smart TV as a second monitor.  Laptop can't find the TV - both are saved on the network wireless with MAC addresses.  I downloaded and installed the 5 recommended on the site of HP - drivers did not help.  Is it possible to do what the laptop is configured now?  If this isn't the case, upgrading Windows 10 would do the trick?

Some SMART TVs equipped of a receiver widi or miracast built in. My LG does, for example. Upgrade to Windows 10 fair changes how you set up the cast he adds the capabilities of the wireless card. I note the laptop listed in your message seems to have a dual processor Pentium and I thought excluded Intel WiDi. If I understand correctly, you have sunk your laptop but have never been able to cast of older HP laptop of your friend. Chances are that this laptop is not capable of casting.

There are inexpensive options of google (Chromecast) and amazon for wireless dongles that plug into the TVs HDMI port and can accept the casting of any wireless device.

  • Using a laptop as a second monitor?

I bought a new laptop (Dell Inspiron 17120) and want to add a second monitor (between the two desktop sharing).  Is it possible to use my old laptop (Dell Inspiron 8600) as the additional monitor?  I have the cable and they are connected to each other and they say that they recognize the new monitor, but I can't get that to extend the desktop.  Any help would be greatly appreciated - even if it's to say that there is no way that the laptop can act as an additional monitor.  Thank you

No, this is not possible.  There is no video input on your laptop so that it can be used in this way.

  • Why can't drag the DVDplay to my second monitor (TV screen)?

I can drag all other programs (excel, TurboTax, internet explorer, etc.) to my 2nd monitor by double clicking in the upper part of the screen of the program open and then by dragging with the mouse.  But not the DVDplay (in Media Center). I want to watch the DVD on my TV while working on my laptop.  My second monitor is actually a Samsung 22 "LED TV.

I could drag the media player, but the DVD plays in media player... He kept bufferingand does not display the entire screen at the same time.  The DVD plays well in DVDplay, but can't get it on the 2nd monitor.

  • Can I drag to the left on a second monitor?

I am currently using the option in the second screen, but it works only when I drag to the right (from my laptop to the monitor of the PC on the left side).  Ergonomic, I would have preferred that it works with my PC monitor to my left, but I can't drag it to the left.  Is there a setting I can change to fix this?

If I understand you, the PHYSICS of the monitors available you configure is does not correspond to the VIRTUAL page layout. Heh

If so - when viewing the "screen resolution" where it shows the monitors multiple (in the virtual) - click (and hold down the mouse button) on one of the monitors and drag it to the place that represents the physical reality.

I have a G35-av600 bought last June. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know

    Hello

I don't know if I can help because I know something about the Qosmio G10 and the G20 and your Qosmio seems to be a mobile US but I will try my best ;) m

Qosmio G10 for example, you must modify the input parameters in the Toshiba utility image of development, but I guess you don t have this tool pre-installed.

But I think that the composite is a good Butler built the connection with the game station.
I think that in the advanced graphics settings, you should be able to find the right options.

    Play around with the settings.

  • How can I connect HDTV and LCD to PC using the two - as a dual monitor.

I recently bought the PC HP Pavilion a6600f w1707 with HP. I also bought a DVI cable to HDMI to connect PC to Samsung HDTV. I can use the VGA cable to connect the monitor and cable DVI to HDMI to connect to HDTV, but log off for the other use. Is it possible to configure Windows Vista Home Premium to display on both screens at the same time, or at least be able to switch between the two without having to unplug one, then restart the computer?

This can be annoying, but I've done it before.  Usually, you can connect at once, then go to the display panel, settings, advanced, and then there is usually a tab to select the components of the video card.  Mine says NVIDIA...  Once there, you can choose a number of options, for example, clone, extended desktop, etc..  I found that there is some problems with resolution when the display on my TV is over the current screen.

  • Using the function tablet and external monitor at the same time

    Hello

I was hoping with the docking station and the external monitor, I can work as with an ordinary computer and at the same time to use the computer screen Tablet laptop to take notes with Journal (extended desktop display).

Unfortunately, when I touch the screen with the stylus, it is still planned for the external monitor - no matter what I set as main display it seems just really stupid.

Does anyone have an idea how to prevent this?

  • Using the two connections of cable and wireless on a laptop Windows 7

I have a wireless router on my home network, which works very well.  Sometimes, I connect my laptop with a wired connection for faster speed during file transfer.  When I do that, I have 2 network connections: Wi - Fi and wireless.  Should I disconnects me wireless connection, or is it possible to have both connections at the same time?  Is it possible to configure Windows 7 to disconnect the wireless when it detects a wired connection?

    Thank you.

It's OK to have two connections.  Windows automatically uses the one with the highest rated speed.

I don't know how to have it automatically disconnect one of them. Steve Winograd, most Microsoft Valuable Professional (desktop experience)

  • Force the VM to use the wired ethernet port instead of wireless

    Hello

I use ver 9 workstation.  I have my host computer (win 7 64 bit) connected to our network of offices using the connection with wireless computers.

I use a windows xp based virtual machine image that connects to devices of 3rd party via the ethernet port wired in Bridge mode.

Is there a way to force the workstation on the use of only the cable connection and don't EVER try to connect via the wireless?

At the moment I have to disable the wireless for the workstation to access cable port, if the without wire is activated, so you may not see anything on the wired port...

It also causes headaches with ip address conflicts (3rd devices use the same IP range as our network of offices) if I don't have the VM running and wireless power.

Any help or advice would be appreciated

    Tim

Use the virtual network Editor to bind to the target adapter for VMnet0 and set the NIC of the virtual machine to use connected by a bridge.
