Users on the network can not connect

I have a problem with the network connection, and would be grateful if someone could tell what to check next.

Try to connect from an iMac under Snow Leopard, just sign in dialog box stirs whenever I try to open a session.

The customer log shows the following after each attempt

SecurityAgent [548] display of the Login window

kernel WARNING: space low (5 < % free) on the audit system of audit log files

SecurityAgent [548] failed to obtain registration of the user to 'test' for Directory Services

SecurityAgent [548] user info context values defined for test

Unknown user (test) SecurityAgent [548] login attempt success for the audit

kernel WARNING: space low (5 < % free) on the audit system of audit log files

On the server (running the Server 3.2.2 and Mavericks) he has no message in the newspaper during the connection attempt.

DNS seems to work without problems. On the control server of the

Home 192.168.3.100

Returns the correct host name and

host [hostname]

Returns the same ip address.

Using nslookup to the iMac gives the same results

The iMac seems to be properly related to the server. Connection options indicates the correct server with a green lamp beside her name and the list of user login has one entry of 'other '.

The network is wired.

Verify that the user 'test' exists and that it is the correct type 'network' on the server. Verify that the customer is using the server for authentication. Your the client disk is full, or almost, remedy before proceeding. OS X, like any unix, really don't like do not have the space available on the file system, and this may be the cause of the problem.

  • Field joined WinXP machine on the network can not surf the internet

I have several laptops at work who joined our corporate domain.  We use a proxy server to access the internet.  These systems have no trouble to get on the net at work through the proxy server.  However, when used on a wireless public or home networks that they cannot surf the internet.  All systems will be the IP addresses, the gateway and DNS settings on those external networks, can see other devices on these networks, can ping IP on Internet addresses, but will not shoot to the top of all Web sites.  They can pull up of sites by IP address, sometimes but not always.  The proxy settings are off and IE is set to automatically detect settings.  One of these machines has been wiped and reloaded the last week and it still has this problem.  I've deleted all the browser history and temporary files in IE so deleted the DNS using ipconfig/flushdns with no luck.  I installed Firefox on one of these machines, but he'll not all sites either.  If these machines are removed from the field and added to a working group, they seem to work well.  All users connect with local accounts on these machines and all tests were conducted with administrator accounts.  All the suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.

  • A PC on the network does not connect to internet

This has proved to be very difficult.  A PC on my network has been to connect to the internet.  I thought it was because I installed a new router, especially when I moved the PC to connect directly to my cable modem - when he was working.  But I also thought that upgrading to Windows 7 from WP would take away any problem on the PC - but it didn't.  Thus, with the help of an expert on a Linksys forum, I've implemented (to my satisfaction anyway) is not a router problem.  Indeed his inspection of ipconfig/all and stuff has shown that everything was normal with this PC as well as others.  The PC collects the IP address, etc., it is simply not receiving data from the internet.  I had already checked that it was not a firewall, using Norton Uninstaller issue to ensure that everything was gone.  The network adapter works and I've updated the driver.  I have since also rolled back to XP for doing the same thing and still nothing.

The expert from my router comment was "well, the IP of the computer configuration is correct and the router works as you have other computers that connect to the internet via the router. It seems that if the installation of Windows has serious problems on this computer. I suggest that ask you in a Microsoft forum on how to reset the configuration of the network on your computer to make it work again. So far I would say that it is not a problem with the router or caused by the router. »

The only thing I would add is that system restore has failed for a while on this PC.  Of course I would have used it to try to solve this problem, but I can't.  I tried various fixes for whom these for one, there included opening in SafeMode etc, but nothing worked.

    Help please!

Hi, sorry bit slow on this - alert does not.  The answer would have been wired and Wireless does not, but I just reinstalled a Linksys network adapter and hey presto it works!  I haven't been back to try the wired LAN but guess it still does not.  So I think that the diagnosis of network card is OK but incorrectly excluded earlier because the PC said that he was OK and wireless did not work either at this time.  But I guess it's possible that uninstall and then reinstall the Linksys may have released something somehow.  BTW I had disabled the native Windows Firewall also.  Was it wrong?

  • HP Photosmart C309a - but wireless network can not connect

I have a new printer C309a, but it does not connect to my wireless network.  I have read all the posts and tried everything I can think of (I'm not expert network but reasonably competent), but nothing helped.

I use a router NetGear DG834N which works very well provide a wireless network for an iMac, 2 iPhone and an iPad. There is also a PC running that Vista wired to the router.

When I try to connect the printer to the wireless network, it finds the network OK but when I put the password it fails to connect.  Test report says wireless MAC address filtering can be enabled.  But... MAC filtering is disabled on the router.  Wireless isolation is disabled on the router.

Tried to get this happening for a few weeks now.  I want to emphasize that I managed to print a test page the first time it has been installed (so there was a wireless connection then).  And I got a wireless connection briefly a few days.

Quite perplexed and not a little frustrated.  Can anyone help please?

I think it's a question of wireless mode.  Try the other settings from the drop-down menu where it says 270 Mbit/s.

  • Units of the unknown, can not connect

  • I have been connected to the internet (wireless), then I unplugged the router and now I can not connect to internet. I tried diagnose the problem, but he said that he could not.

I have a wireless internet connection for my laptop. I was connected to the internet, and it worked very well, so I had to unplug my router and all of a sudden I can't connect to the internet more. When I open the available networks, I hit connect on mine and he said: it does not work then I hit "diagnose the problem" and then, he says he can't. Also it is not even give me the option to set my password to connect to my network, but it does when I try to connect to any other.

I suggest to unplug all your network cables and unplug the adapter from your modem AND router. ONLY plug your modem back power adapter in. Wait until you get a steady green light on your router, which indicates that it is ready. Then, connect the ethernet cable from your modem to your router INTERNET port. Connect the ethernet cable from your computer to any other ETHERNET port on your router. Finally turn the monitor for your router.

If you do not do so in this order, the router can not connect properly to the internet because it doesn't have the correct IP address of your modem.

  • WPA - PSK, BEFW11SA, can not connect the computer to the network

When I enable security wireless mode WPS Pre - Shared Key, algorithm, TKIP, a 9-character key and key group og renewal 3600 and then configure the computer, the computer is not connected to internet, even if the connection is recognized.

When I created my Linksys BEFW11SA with "Wireless security" disabled, my computer has no problem connecting to the internet.

Somehow, I'm sure that the problem is related to the configuration of the WPS, but I don't know what to do.

I run XP sp 3. Router firmware version is 1.50.11, which I think is the last update (1.50.13 in mentioned on the home page of Linksys, but the corresponding version notes give the 1.50.11 version) the router does not have common WPS - PSK option with XP, so I couldn't try to use WPA2 or other options.

    Can someone please help?

You tried the WPA key on your router and still it dosent work, you tried to secure your network using the WEP password. If it isn't then you can try settings WEP key password on your router and check if you are getting connected to your network on your laptop or not.

Open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase...
For wireless settings, follow these steps: -.
    Click on the Wireless tab

    For wireless security: -.
Click the sub-tab under wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the mode of WEP wireless security, encryption must be 64-bit. Let the empty password, do not type in anything... Under type of WEP Key 1 in all 10 numbers please (numbers only and no mailbox for example: your 10-digit phone number) and click on save settings...
Please note the 1 WEP key as it comes to the security key for the wireless network...

Now let's see if you can locate your wireless network and try to connect...

  • When a user logs off Windows 7 x 64 session, the rest can not access the internet until the restart network card

Hello! I found a problem with my system: when a user logs off Windows 7 x 64 session, the rest can not access the internet, until restarted network card. Reinstall NIC driver did not help. Problem appears on a built-in adapter, in the motherboard and a separate PCI card too.  Same router via its web interface is not accessible. Windows cannot automatically fix this problem after trying to diagnose a problem with his problem Diagnostic tool. After the diagnosis in the DETAILS window, MORE tests, it displays a message like this "computer remote can not receive a connection via the Internet (HTTP) Service Port". "Unplugging" a corresponding Local network connection and then reconnect solves the problem immediately. Switching between users, when two of them are connected do not cause this problem. Important: the problem occurs in the account of the user who was logged on the system FIRST after the PC was on, when the user disconnected on newspapers of a SECOND. If the SECOND user is logged in and the FIRST user disconnects, SECOND can still access the internet. It depends only on the sequence of the user's record, not on the particular user name. And one more interesting fact: after each user registered on and outside just for once, the problem seems to disappear until the PC is turned off and turn it back on!

    System details:

    Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-VLK
    CPU: Intel Core i7 3770 K
    RAM: 8 GB
    OS: Windows 7 x 64

    Hi, Mahesh,

and thank you very much for your help! Update firmware driver and router LAN did not help me get rid of my problem, but greatly improved my experience of networking in general. Anti-virus software was not guilty, also, but! I found the "iControl" network software, installed as part of Sogiciel 'AI Suite II' (that came on the CD of motherboard ASUS driverssoftware), runnning and causing not only the problem mentioned above, but would also decrease upload speed up to 0.3 MB/s, when download passes to nearly 100 Mbps! Moreover, searching the Internet, I have found a lot of complaints about the behavior of this software, so that people watch you the occasional installation of this piece... sweet ;) As "iControl network" has been uninstalled (not only turned off in the settings of 'Ai Suite II'!), I'm totally happy with my system performance.

    Best regards
    Greg
