Using the record of decision in the Java API

Hey all,.

I work with an integration of Java of the OPA, and I'm curious to know how to exploit the record of decision by using the Java API for the information I'm after.

Basic example:

X = Maximum (A, B)

In a record of decision, I see that A and B are used to determine X, but is there a way to know what is done with the API? I know its somewhere, I just need to get to work!

Another example:

X = (A - B) * C

How can I retrieve what exactly happened in java using the API? Is this possible?

Thank you!!!

Dan

Dan,

Records of decision (code or xml) unfortunately do not go into that kind of detail. Records of decision describes what values are relevant and values assumed under influence, but they have no detailed calculation of information in them.

It is not possible to do what you are trying to do.

See you soon

  • Help with Essbase 9 and the Java API

    Hi, I am trying to connect to Essbase to a Java desktop app and I'm unable to do so. I need to know if I'm in principle do the right things and if I have the good environment set up.

    We have a server with Essbase version 9.3.1. We normally use essbase through the Excel add-in, and I already wrote it Excel applications that can use both the add-in and the Essbase API in VB. Now, I need to connect to Essbase but out of Excel and using the Java API. I have no idea what is APS don't my Essbase administrator.

    My request has the following (adapted from a post on this forum)-
    Public Shared Sub main (String [] args) {}
    String s_userName = 'user ';
    String s_password = "password";
    String s_olapSvrName = "ustca111";
    String s_provider = "http://localhost:13080/aps/JAPI ';
    try {}
    ESS IEssbase = IEssbase.Home.create (IEssbase.JAPI_VERSION);
    DOM IEssDomain = ess.signOn (s_userName s_password, s_provider, null, false);
    IEssOlapServer olapSvr = (s_olapSvrName) dom.getOlapServer;
    olapSvr.connect ();
    System.out.println ("connection to the server Analyic '" + olapSvr.getName () + "' has been a success.");
    olapSvr.disconnect ();
    } catch (EssException exp) {}
    System.out.println (exp.getMessage ());
    } }

    I'm running my app on my computer, not on the Essbase server, and the user name that I use is the same one I use (as a user of Essbase) through the Essbase Addin in Excel, not an admin login.

    When I run the application, I get:
    "Cannot connect to the Server.Make provider ensure that access code settings are correct and the server of the provider is running."

    Please can you confirm:
    (1) do I need an admin login for my client application to connect to the Essbase server or can I use a dial-up connection in normal play, like the one I use in Excel?
    (2) is the same provider regardless of the computer, i.e. "http://localhost:13080/aps/JAPI '; How can I know what this could be? Where can I get this information?
    (3) how can I make sure that the server is running the server needed 'provider', it's just a service that appears on the server services.msc? What should I ask the Essbase administrator for him to tell me what I need?

    Thank you very much.

    Leo

    Leo,

    You have APS and Shared Services running on your server? It would be the first question to answer. If you put in the url (http://localhost:13080/aps/JAPI, in your program) in a browser, you get a generic APS screen, or you get an error "page is not available. Unless you connect to APS that is running on the same computer that is running your Java application, the section 'localhost' should be the name of your APS Server.

    (1) for this Java program, you connect just to read only access that ID is OK
    (2) the supplier would be the same for every customer. The provider is the URL of your APS Server. Unless you run in embedded mode, you must APS to connect with the Essbase server. In embedded mode, you talk with the Essbase server, see [this thread | http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=3314485?].

    (3) APS - Analytic Provider Services, I'm not sure what it would show on a Windows Server. I suppose it would be something on Hyperion System 9 Analytic Provider Services. If you have installed APS, I would try the embedded road because it's the only way you will get to work.

    I get a message: to use the 'java' command line tool, you must install a JDK.  I tried 10 times to install without success.  Help, please.

    You probably have some of the older than the needs/desires software legacy Java installed.

    Please see these sons of community message:

    After the installation of El Capitan, I get the message: to use the 'java' command line tool, you must install a JDK

    Just found this last Java does not work with El Capitan

    This is the Apple link to the legacy version of Java 6.

    Download Java for OS X 2015-001

    First of all, I would like to try to identify what application generated the next message and update (delete) this request as the case may be. If you need to run Java then, as the Apple Support page says it's certainly preferable that your installation of Java entirely up-to-date with the Oracle's Java course. If you can get without Java, you should install it not - like the Flash, it should not be installed unless you have no choice.

  • Can I get the total number of records that meet the conditions of a query using the Table API?

    Hello

    A < row > TableIterator is returned when I ask operations using the index of tables. If I want to get the total number of records, I count one by one using the returned TableIterator < row >.

    Can I get the total number of records directly meets the conditions of the query?

    I can get the total number of records directly the request of the meeting of the conditions of CLI using the command Global table - name tableName - count - index index-name-field fieldName - start startValue-end endValue.

    Can I get the same results using the Table API?

    I used MongoDB and NoSQL Oracle for about a year. According to the experience of the use of these dbs, I think mongoDB querying interface is powerful. In the contras, the query interface is relatively simple, which results is a lot of work that is usually a long time in the client side.

    Hello

    Counting records in a database is a tricky thing.  Any system that gives you an accurate count of the records will have a hotspot of concurrency on updates, namely the place where the counting is maintained.  Such a count is a problem of performance in addition to competitive access problem.   The problem is even more difficult in a system widely distributed such a NoSQL database.

    The CLI has overall command that counts, but does so by brutal force - iterate keys that correspond to the parameters of the operation.  This is how you must do this within the API.  There is not a lot of code, but you have to write.  You certainly want to use TableIterator TableAPI.tableKeysIterator (), because a key iteration is significantly faster than the iteration of lines.  Just one iteration and count.

    If you use TableAPI.multiGet () and a key with a touch of brightness full then, in fact, count the results as they are returned in a single piece (a list).

    Kind regards

  • Use the java connector for the connector database?

    Hello

    I'm running on IOM 11gr2ps2 and need to use the database connector.  We installed the .net connector server to operate with the connector AD.

    The Oracle of https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22999_01/doc.111/e20277.pdf documentation gives us an option to either install a java connector server to work with the database connector or install the IOM database connector without using a java connector server.

    The documentation says "execution of a connector on the connector server.

    allows to transmit queries put in service and reconciliation through the firewall in a

    as defined by the connector server.

    As I already have a connector server .net for AD, I would lean towards the installation of the java connector server.  In this way architecture remains consistent.

    Please, share your ideas.

    Thank you

    Khanh

    Table of database connector uses the Java Connector server, or it can be deployed directly in the container of the IOM.  If you have problems jar or different library due to database formats, you can use the connector server to isolate libraries and do not have to figure out how to make IOM in collaboration with several libraries.  It can also take some of the load on your server to IOM for the transformation.  I suggest to use the server connector for the isolation of the newspaper as well.

  • Can I use the Java edition?

    Hello
    I don't know if I have to use the Java or the 'normal' edition of the berkeley db.

    My application is developed in Java, but I don't use JTA, JCA or JMX.
    Is there an advantage to be taken using the Java edition?

    Thank you

    There are many minor differences, for example, I was a little bit better write performance, DB uses somewhat less memory, DB has a SQL interface and I does not. But overall, the two products are very similar, so for most of the questions you might ask, the answer is going to be "in respect of the same".

    If you want to choose the best product for your application, you will need to define very specific criteria that are most important to you. If you care more about make every ounce of performance on a specific part of the material, using a specific amount of memory, for a specific application (access model), then you will need to pass a test and make a comparison.

  • problem using the FileConnection API (JSR 75) in an application for Blackberry "BOLD" MIDLET

    Hello

    I developed a MIDLET which is to read files and store the contents of files in arrays. I could make using the FileConnection API in J2ME (Java ME) and it works very well in mobile emulators provided by Sun, Sun Kit tool 2.5.1 wireless and Sprint Wireless tool 3.3.2 Kit. I have been using netbeans IDE 6.8 for this.

    Now, here's the deal. Playback of the files does not work when in one of the Blackberry mobile emulators. I tried to install all versions of Blackberry JDE 4.2.1 to 5.0 and test the same thing, but none of them worked.  After reading that the Blackberry plugin for Eclipse is good, I used it to find that I am always faced with the problem.

    I desperately need help. Can someone help me do the reading work file in a Blackberry emulator? I insert the code that makes the file reading. It reads a file containing a single column of 60 entries, and stores it in an array of double type.

    Vector time = new Vector();

    try{

     FileConnection filecon = (FileConnection) Connector.open("file:///" +"SDCard/BlackBerry/documents/"+"timescale.dat");

     if(!filecon.exists()) {    Dialog.show("Note ! ", "File doesn't exists !", "okay","cancel"); }

         StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();      try      {       InputStream in = filecon.openInputStream();       int chars;

           while ((chars = in.read()) != -1)// read until EOF is reached { if(chars == '\n') // read all characters until the end of line is reached { time.addElement(sb.toString().trim()); // stores all the characters as a vector element when the end of line is reached

                  sb.delete(0,sb.length());// clear the stringbuffer for storing the next line of the file

              }

              else          {              sb.append((char)chars); // appends each character read          }

          }// end of while

        }    catch(IOException e)    {               }

        filecon.close();

    }// end of outer try

       int i =0;   Enumeration etime = time.elements();

       while(etime.hasMoreElements() && i < 60) // timescale.dat has 60 entries in one column   {       time_1d[i]=Double.parseDouble(etime.nextElement().toString());// convert to double       i++;   }

    Can you elaborate on what does not work?  Is an error or exception thrown?  If Yes, what is it and what line of code triggers it?

  • Create/modify users using the RequestService API

    Hello

    I would like to create or modify users of IOM, by using the API RequestService (RequestService (Oracle Fusion Middleware Java QAnywhere for Oracle Identity Manager)), but currently, I do not know how!

    Currently I use the UserManager API to create/modify users:

    UserManager userManager = Platform.getService(UserManager.class);
    HashMap<String, Object> userAttributeValueMap = new HashMap<String,Object>();
    User user = new User("MyNewOIMUser", userAttributeValueMap);
    userManager.create(user);

    It works very well, but it is not possible to 'Create the user approval Workflows' using this trigger mechanism.  (use this code snippet in a custom scheduled task)

    I've already found some examples of code, using the RequestService API, but nobody uses this api to create/modify users.  (https://java.net/projects/openptk/sources/svn/show/branches/Oracle/OIM11g/examples/java/OIMClient/src/oim/client/request)

    Ideas/tips/code samples to specify this use case?

    BR,

    Mint

    This API allows you to submit the application:

    Oracle Fusion Middleware Java QAnywhere for Oracle Identity Manager

    doOperation (RequestData requestData, OIMService.Intent intention)

    This will allow you to submit and do force a request, direct provision or use some permissions has the person making the presentation for administrative roles to determine whether it is direct or claim.

  • Using the REST API to delete the contact from the contacts list

    Hello world

    I am looking for some info for the creation of a request to delete a contact from a list of Contact using the REST API.   Here's what I have in Java where the contact id is 1 'and my list is 72'.     I'm open to responses in Java, c# or other languages.

    serverAddress = new URL ("https://secure.p03.eloqua.com/API/REST/1.0/assets/contact/list/72");

    establish communication stuff

  • How to remove a network of organization using the vCloud API?

    Hello

    I try to delete a network of internal organisation, using the java sdk:

    AdminOrgNetwork orgNetwork = getOrgNetwork("myNetwork"); // This will query vCloud and return a valid object
    orgNetwork.delete(); // This failes with: "com.vmware.vcloud.sdk.VCloudException: HTTP method not allowed"

    For some reason it isn't working and I get ""HTTP method not allowed ". "

    I also check the xml object returned by vCloud and I noticed that missing the link delete:

    <OrgNetwork xmlns="http://www.vmware.com/vcloud/v1.5" name="myNetwork" id="...">
        <Link rel="up" type="application/vnd.vmware.vcloud.org+xml" href="..."/>
        <Link rel="down" type="application/vnd.vmware.vcloud.metadata+xml" href="..."/>
        <!-- Onetwork details -->
    </OrgNetwork>

    Removal of network does not enjoy using the API? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

    No matter what support in how to actually remove the network (which btw is also created using the API) would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    I think you are trying to delete a view of the user of the org network.

    You should try to suppress the display of the admin of the org network.

    What do you do under the getOrgNetwork ("myNetwork"). How do you get the org network. I think you found the network org user here.

    Get it from the VcloudAdmin-> AdminOrganization-> networks.

    Kind regards

  • Conditional binding fails with fracture from scratch using the fluent API

    I have two properties that I want to connect to a progress bar. Properties represent essentially a max value of County (the denominator) and current value of the Shire (numerator). I want to set up a connection using the fluent API that works roughly as follows:
    IntegerProperty numerator = new SimpleIntegerProperty(0);
    IntegerProperty denominator = new SimpleIntegerProperty(0);

    progressBar.progressProperty().bind(
        Bindings.when(denominator.isEqualTo(0))
            .then(0)
            .otherwise(numerator.divide(denominator)));
    The numerator and denominator properties represent two properties in my object that changes according to certain criteria in the application, and I want the progress bar to be bound by these changes. The problem is sometimes, and by default, the value of the denominator is 0. My logic tells me that the clause otherwise() does not run, because the when() condition must be true and so run the then() clause. When I run the above code, I get an ArithmeticException (/ by zero).

    Question - is this the correct behavior of the code underlying link? I don't understand why the otherwise() clause is being evaluated in this case.
    Can I suggest an improvement to short-circuit the logic to avoid such a situation?

    My solution is to create a custom as follows DoubleBinding:
    IntegerProperty numerator = new SimpleIntegerProperty(0);
    IntegerProperty denominator = new SimpleIntegerProperty(0);

    DoubleBinding db = new DoubleBinding() {
        { super.bind(numerator, denominator); }

        @Override
        protected double computeValue() {
            if(denominator.getValue() == 0) {
                return 0.0;
            }
            return numerator.doubleValue() / denominator.doubleValue();
        }
    };

    progressBar.progressProperty().bind(db);
    I would much rather the fluent API (much less code to write and much more elegant), but I'm glad that the custom binding is not too difficult to write and understand.

    Thanks for all comments or impressions.

    I have not tested, but for a workaround, you can try

    progressBar.progressProperty().bind(
        Bindings.when(denominator.isEqualTo(0))
            .then(0)
            .otherwise(numerator.divide(denominator.doubleValue())));

    This will force (should) the division must be calculated using double rather than the integers (ints); x / 0,0 will assess double. NaN in java, without throwing an exception. Note that this calculation will give slightly different results in other cases, such as the division of integers you used before will still result in an int (by truncation); considering that it will give a double precision division. In most cases, the latter will actually be what you want.

    I work with the Java API in LiveCycle (LiveCycle 8.2) and I am looking

    an example of how read the members of a group.

    I am able to get a group (Type GroupImpl) using the PrincipalSearchFilter.

    But how do I get the members of this group. I checked the
    DirectoryManagerServiceClient and classes of different search filters
    without success?

    As a solution, I can retrieve all users of my application area and
    check their membership to see if they are in the group concerned. But this
    is a dirty hack, I really don't want to use.

    Any ideas?

    Hello!

    I know you mentioned that you were watching in this without success, but it should work really.

    First make a GroupMemebershipSearchFilter, defining the groupoid be the ID of the group itself.  Using the DirectoryManagerServiceClient you can then call findGroupMembers using the searchFilter that will return a list of, as follows:

    DirectoryManager DirectoryManagerServiceClient = new DirectoryManagerServiceClient (serviceConnection.getFactory ());

    List userList = new ArrayList ();

    Try
    {
    userList = directoryManager.findGroupMembers (searchFilter);
    }
    catch (System.Exception e)
    {

    Animals mistake
    }

    return userList;
