Validate the form before you submit by e-mail in pdf format

I have the form that verifies one a field before printing.

This is the code:

var test = this.getField ("pay")
If (test.value == 'Off') {}
App.Alert ("Please select a payment method", 1, 0);
} else {}
var pp = this.getPrintParams ();
This.Print (pp);
}

I need a similar code to submit the entire form as a pdf attachment to an e-mail message if the same condition test is met.

I have not looked at ths material long so I'm getting rusty.

Thank you.

You must replace the impression of the code by a call to

this.mailDoc (). You can learn more about this method in the reference files.

  • Save the form before you open the pop-up window

    Can someone share with me the best way to save a form before clicking on a button that opens a popup window? I have a button on a form that opens a pop-up window with a form. Once a user enters data into the context menu, the information is saved, the popup closes and the parent page is reloaded to display the newly added area of report data. B/c that each parent page refresh, any changes the user made before clicking on the button to open the pop-up window is erased once the pages are reloaded.

    I currently have a button with a redirect to URL in option ("javascript:openPopup(&FACID.)"). The first function opens a new window (for a fraction of a second), and then a doSubmit ('SAVE') to save the parent page, and then put the focus on the pop up window. This works, but there are a lot of flicker of the page I want to avoid.

    Is there a "smoother" way to perform these steps? I understand that the parent page should be provided so that the data is saved, but it doesn't have a difference if I call the doSubmit('SAVE') before opening the pop-up window (in the function openPopup)... I always get the same results.

    I have it working now, but I was wondering if anyone knew a better way to do this.
    Thank you
    Tammy

    Hello

    OK - code 'opener.location.href... '. ' may be replaced by 'opener.doSubmit ('SAVE'); "because that should trigger the normal submit on the home page.

  • Select the layers when you export an Indesign book in PDF format?

    Hello

    I created a book consisting of separate Indesign files, each containing different languages. Each language is in a separate layer.

    Then, I created 4 different book, each of which contains about 5 files. This makes me 4 pounds with all the languages spread over different layers. When I export the book in PDF format, I would like to be able to select the language layer, so I can create a PDF file by language. I can open each file to hide all layers of language except the one I want to export, but it is a tedious job.

    I'm wandering if there is a faster way to export in PDF format each language without having to open and re - register each separate Indesign file.

    Thanks for all the comments.

    :-)

    Tom

    Why do you need to omit the French layer for a book in German?

    Just export all the layers.

    Then, in Acrobat, turn off the French (Italian, Spanish, English?) and leave Germany exposed.

    Save as "Meine tollen deutschen Buchmarkt.pdf.

    Then, turn off all the layers except the format, and then save it under "my book excellent francais.pdf.

    I promise you that no one outside of a very few people will ever know that diapers with other languages hidden there. Almost anyone who uses Acrobat knows there is to all layers. (Except the brilliant people on this forum)

  • Validate the form and submit

    Hi all, I have created a simple form that when the Send button is clicked goes to another page, I'm eager to validate the form before to ensure that the proper test was registered. I can get this working, but when I get a message box saying that the criterion is entered is incorrect and I click OK in the message box the form nevertheless opens the next page. How can I do this so that the shape is not go further if it is incorrect.

    My code is shown below, any help would be appreciated.

    I used javascript for example, when you use vbscript, but it works essentially the same. If you change the type of button HTML submit button, so it will not submit automatically when you click on it, but will run the validation function when you click on it. In the logic where the form data are validated, you can send the form then, but where the data of the form validation fails, you do not offer. Sort of, looks like you submit the form, so when data passes and fails (TheForm.Submit). Sorry I can not translate exactly in vbscript.

  • Submit the form before the popup display

    Hello.

    Here's a scenario:
    * two tables with a composite foreign key
    full-page with master form on this data
    * dialogue a popup with details of this table
    * on the page, there is a button with added Popup behavior show that points to this contextual dialog box

    Now when I click on this button to show popup for me it works well.
    The problem is when I create new record (master) and when I open this pop-up dialog box (without refreshing or submit page) the secondary table cannot create new records. Because there is a composite foreign key I need to send the form before showing popup.
    So there must be some link button or command which includes show contextual behavior and before you see the popup behavior, there must be some kind of bid.

    Any ideas how to achieve that?

    You can always go through the bean support, send data and raise the popup using API ExtendedRenderKitService

    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ExtendedRenderKitService service = Service.getRenderKitService(facesContext, ExtendedRenderKitService.class);
    String script = "var popup = AdfPage.PAGE.findComponent(\"" + popupId +  "\"); popup.show();";
    service.addScript(facesContext, script);

  • Behavior of DW - validate the form

    I added the behavior when the user clicks the button, it validates the form using the behavior of DW. In the two browsers I use, (Firefox 2 and IE 7), the alert comes up saying some fields are required, but in Internet Explorer after clicking on OK, it operates a pass to the action of the form. In Firefox, it remains on the page so that you can enter the required fields.

    Any help is appreciated,

    You have applied the behavior for the Send button - it must be applied to
    the

    tag.

  • How to get the TOTAL size of the article before you download?

    Hi all

    Anyone know how to see what is the total size of the article before you download? I have an article that contains the video and several pages. I know I'm next above the limit, but I can't see how. I know that you can see the total link but surely Indesign, it's self will add more info on which will increase the size? I checked the video and pictures and they seem to fall under the 200 MB for the article. That article is not big so I need to know what is the total amount.

    I hope someone can help!

    (B) the limit is 100 MB for an article.

    That's really low, when you add videos to your article, so I hope they will change that in the future!

  • Forcing users to complete the form before being able to see "thank you page".

    Hello

    We have literally begin our implementation and part of this process will of assets currently held on our site (white papers, webcasts recorded, etc.) for Eloqua and using the progressive profiling features to collect information from the user because they access more content to our site.

    I've created a form, attached to a landing page and realized the form on "Send" to redirect to the thank you landing page that contains a download link. However, I noticed that I can access the landing page directly asking me the link, so getting around those who need to fill out a form and defeating the point of the whole exercise thank you.

    So I was wondering, what is the best method of implementation of gated content where once a user has filled out the form, they are then taken to a page with the assets available to download? Is it possible to force a landing page to get the logic that it requires the form to fill out before authorizing access to the user?

    n. b. we cannot use e-mail as things like webcasts are much too big to email as an attachment.

    I hope that I have explained quite clearly...

    Hi Stuart,

    Yes, you can use scripts to search based on the cookie to the user. If the cookie exists and that all the required fields in the form are complete, then view the page. If the cookie does not exist, or all areas have not been fulfilled then redirect to the form.

    There are always ways around this by disabling javascript etc.

  • encrypt/decrypt in Oracle Forms BEFORE you call an SP or the database DML statement

    Hello.  I'm working on an application where we need to encrypt information before it is sent to the database.  I know that the database has a great set of stored procedures to manage the encryption and decryption.  The only challenge here is the fact that I would need to send information unencrypted in the database "in the clear".  Ideally, I would like to encrypt the information in the form and send it to the database.  On recovery, recover the information and then have the application forms decipher encrypted information.

    Whoever did this as a package within a PLL without all calls to a package DBMS_?

    Thank you

    BradW

    OK, I think I have the solution.  We are going to import a java class that we create to do this for us.  We then import it in forms in a library of PLL.  Problem solved!

    Nice little intro to importing Java can be found here:

  • Make sure that "required" before "Signature" AND check that "signature" is completed before you 'submit', the fields are comeplete

    The people there, I am fairly new to create forms but starting to get the hang of it.

    I'm trying to make sure that when people sign my form fields that I put as 'compulsory' are comeplted. Currently my form does not :-(

    I have a "submit" button at the bottom of the form that I set up to E-mail the form validated at a defined person, however, I want to make sure when you press this button, there is a check to ensure that the form has been signed and that the 'required' fields have been comeplted.

    Ideas are very welcome!

    Thank you

    Chris.

    Apologies! Thank you very much for your help! The code you posted earlier, I found is:

    var emptyFields = [];

    for (var i = 0; i)

    var f = this.getField (this.getNthFieldName (i));

    If (f.type! = "button" & f.required ") {}

    If ((f.type=="text" && f.value== "") |) (f.type=="checkbox" && f.value=="Off")) emptyFields.push (f.name);

    }

    }

    If {(emptyFields.length>0)}

    App.Alert ("error! ("You must fill in the following fields: \n" + emptyFields.join ("\n"));

    }

  • PDF form: blocking of the fields before you send it by e-mail

    Hello!

    I have to scratch my head with this problem for a while: I have this form must be sent by email with some locked fields (read-only).

    What I do is affecting this BEFORE as I have the e-mail form:

    fieldName.access = "readOnly";

    app.execMenuItem ("SaveAs");

    However, the form always happens at destination with the field unlocked and ready for editing.

    Am I missing something?

    Thank you for all the ideas!

    Marcos

    Hi Marcos,

    Just check first that the changes script preserve is set to automatic.

    Then, make sure that the script has completely executed before e-mail script. It might help to put the script to access the mouseUp event that fires before the click event (containing the saveAs script).

    I then test this separate for the mail script and see it works on the local PC.

    Hope that helps,
