  No matter how you have configured the Send button when you use the feature distribute the form. There are some e-mail address is in your identity preferences (Edit > preferences > identity) and use it. In the two browsers I use, (Firefox 2 and IE 7), the alert comes up saying some fields are required, but in Internet Explorer after clicking on OK, it operates a pass to the action of the form.   Edit PDF files in InDesign is not a good idea. If the file was originally exported ID, then change the original and then create a new PDF file.

  You want to allow someone to open your document and fill in the form (the fields that you have created), but not change or edit the form, right? Here is the answer - assuming you use Acrobat Pro and someone will open the PDF with the Acrobat Reader 9 minimum and more:

  Tools > Protection > encrypt< encrypt="" with="">

  Select YES to change security.

  Opens in a new window:

  Do not select NOT open the Document (or will require a password to open the document.)

  SELECT: Permissions (check the box next to ' Restrict editing and printing of the document. ")

  In all cases, the e-mail message outlook is displayed and the user can adjust any part of the email from there. You can choose one of the methods to send a PDF file instead of an XML file.
