Value of all DA - Maximum length
APEX 5.0.2/Oracle 11.1
One of my dynamic actions (SQL statement returning 1 row and 1 column) to set the value is to throw an error, the following debug output.
Is there a change in this area? Is there some 4000 VARCHAR2 (or worst of 2000!) limit hiding somewhere?
Thank you

Update: Yup, enveloping the SQL in a SUBSTR (val, 1, 2000) Gets the error. I'm sure that APEX 4.2 used to allow larger values.
Seriously? The limit of 2000 characters is still there in 2015?
Hi Vikas,
I submitted the bug 22173641 - regression: apex_plugin_util.get_data ora-06502 triggers for clob or varchar2 long
for that matter.

Control chain / led of maximum length (FIFO)
Hello all;
It is perhaps a silly question (maybe not)... How works only once on the definition of the length of a string such that the characters forward file when the maximum number has been reached and there is more incoming data? For example, I want:
(i) the value max control / indicator string length to 255;
(ii) implement a property or a routine such that when the 256 character is entered, character 1 decreases (a bit like a FIFO).
(iii) the channels may be typed or added programmatically (via the properties--> function value.
Please notify. Keep in mind, it has to be actively (xcontrol?).
Thanks in advance...
It solved!
Running, I went to this topic in the wrong way... I was using the "Key Down" event when I should have been using the "Changed value" event, coupled with control of the string defined "update as you type. In any case, I'll post my code for event solution. I hope it helps someone else down the line.

Hello
I suspect it's because of the construction in default length of character in sqldr data types - char (255) must take no notice of what the definition of the current table is by default.
Try adding CHAR (2000), to your controlfile so you end up with something like this:
OPTIONS (SKIP = 2)
DOWNLOAD THE DATA
CHARACTERSET WE8ISO8859P1
INFILE '$FILE '.
ADD
IN THE TABLE "XXDM_DM_17_ONACCOUNT_REC_SRC".

Hello
the problem is bounded by default, char (255) data... Very useful, I know...
you need two, IE sqlldr Hat data is longer than this.
so change notes to notes char (4000) you control file and it should work.

get the maximum length of the data in the column varchar2
This column is configured as shown in the source table, but to find the maximum length of the data in this column to see if it is used as varchar (100) or if it has only the length of data of 50 for example.create table test as (text varchar2(100)
Any ideas would be appreciated.Hi Srikkanth
It should be the reverse - find the length, not the length of the maximum value. Maximum based its value on the fate of the ascii, not the length...
CREATE TABLE dt_TEST (text VARCHAR2(100)) / INSERT INTO dt_test VALUES('AA') / INSERT INTO dt_test VALUES('z') / SELECT LENGTH(MAX(text)),max(length(text)) FROM dt_test /

For some reason, when I try to put a select statement for the cursor, it won't let me save the message. Very strange. Anyway, is a simple query for the select statement.

sqlldr - fill columns exceeds the maximum length
Hi all
DB version: 10.2.0.1.0
We get a CSV file with 127 fields. We need to load the first 9 fields and the 127th field using SQLLDR. What is the best way to specify it in the control file?
Currently, we give as
1. is there another available plu approach?... ... C10 filler, C11 filler, ... C127 filler, column_name
2. we are inheritance issues when filling columns exceeds the maximum length. We tried to give as
But it gives a syntax error. What is the work around that?c10 char(4000) filler ,
Thanks in advance,
Jac
Please note that the help of EXTERNAL TABLEs or other methods is not possible for us.Hi JAC,
Have you tried
c10 filler char(4000)
documentation
A filler field syntax is identical to that of a column in the field, except that the name of the field to a filling is followed by FILLING.

Legacy of the maximum length property
I have a requirement to increase the size of a column number for 6 to 8 in the database. However, there are 200 forms in my application that reference this column directly (as an element on a datablock based on a table), or indirectly as a variable. I noticed that the maximum length property is set to 7 overall. It is a problem.
Is there a way to search for all direct references to this column and set the property of length Max of 7 to 9 of dynamically? I read on JDAPI but I have so far failed generate a class file that works.
Thank youOK, I've updated the JDAPIUtil.jar, so you can re - download it from the jdapiutil.zip on the site.

Maximum length of a clip transfer?
I plan to transfer more than 3 dozen mini DV tapes on a hard drive through import Final Cut media.
Since I'm not still on the creation of projects, I wonder if there is a maximum length of time that can be transferred as a single item - bottom line: can't I just let go a full 60 minute miniDV Tape for transfer and wait until later, to work from that single clip 60 (Cup/culture/Edition of him)? The idea behind my question, of course, is that I don't want to sit for 36 hours...)
Anyone ever done this?
Thank you
That is a good question. Many users have reported problems with the capture of band through FCP import feature x. My experience has been very good - via a camera or an IO device... but I have met occasionally capture fragmented clip - sometimes as short as less than a second clips - which is tedious to deal with. My suggestion: some test clips. If they capture well, great. If not, cancel and use QuickTime Player to capture.
Post back and tell us how you did it.

How do you find the average value of all the data between two points on a single channel
I'm tring to calculate the average value of all data points in a single field between two distinct points
I rasthaus an illustration.
Hi smoothdurban,
I thought you wanted to specify the area of interest with the sliders of the band. If you rather automatically define the area of interest based on thresholds, etc., we cannot see the interactive nature of the example I sent.
What are the criteria used to determine the start and end of the region of interest lines?
I would be able to type this out for you if you sent a representative data set ([email protected])

Hello!
After the end of my second day of test error, I put this question on the table:
I use ArraytoChannels function to store ADO recordsets as strings. What is strange, is that for the first Recordset, it works; but for the next time through the loop, it always fails with the error message 'cannot be added because the channels of the target are not all the same length.
I confirmed that:
the RowData sizes and the ChannelNames are equal,
both spend the isarray = true test,
I change the order of the ChannelNames,.
I have reconnected/disconnected from the oConnexion every time, nothing has changed.
Apparently I'm missing something - but crazy to know what! -If anyone can share his opinion I'll so much appriciate. Here is my code:
oTables = Array ("WellStates", "ChokeData", "WellParameters", "FlowData", "PumpData", "SensorsData", "ModelCalculatedData")
Call OpenSQLConnection
Set oRecordset = CreateObject ("ADODB. Recordset')
Call SelectWell
Call GetWellStateIDsData.Root.Clear
for j = 0 to ubound(oTables,1)sSQLSting = "select * []" & oTables (j) & "] where [WellStateID] between" & WellStateIDFirst & "and" & WellStateIDLast ".
oRecordset.Open sSQLSting, oConnexion
Protected oFieldNames: table: ReDim oFieldNames (orecordset. Fields.Count - 1).
for i = 0 to orecordset. Fields.Count - 1
oFieldNames (i) = orecordset. Fields.Item (i) .name
next
oArray = oRecordset.GetRows (-1, 0, oFieldNames)
Set oGroup = Data .root .ChannelGroups .Add (oTables (j))oArray, oFieldNames arraytochannels
oRecordset.close
oConnection.Close
nextSub GetWellStateIDs
sSQLSting = "select * from [WellStates] where [wellid] =" & WellID
oRecordset.Open sSQLSting, oConnexion
oArray = oRecordset.GetRows)
WellStateIDFirst = oArray (0,0)
WellStateIDLast = oArray (0, ubound(oArray,2))
oRecordset.close
EndSubSub OpenSQLConnection
Set WshNetwork = CreateObject
oComputerName = WshNetwork.ComputerName
oDB = "MX2. Player.DB ".
Set oConnexion = CreateObject ("ADODB. Connection")
oProvider = "Provider = SQLOLEDB.1; Integrated Security = SSPI; PeoExecuteist Security Info = True; Data Source ='
oProvider = oProvider & oComputerName & "\MX; Use procedure for prepare = 1; Machine translation = True; The packet size = 4096; Workstation ID ="
oProvider = oProvider & oComputerName & " Use encryption for data = False; Tag with column collation when possible = False; Initial Catalog ='
oProvider = oProvider & oDB
oConnection.ConnectionString = oProvider
oConnection.Open

Microsoft Windows Script Debugger
you are able to install the debugger in DIAdem.
It would potentially have shown that the command does not work as expected.
