Variable playback speed?

The podcast app allows variable playback speed?

Hello Kaa,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

Looks like you want to vary the playback speed of podcasts.  I'll be happy to help you with this.

The latest version of the application of (2.4) Podcast playback at variable speed.  When you look at the playback controls, you should see a "1 x" to the left.  Tap on that and it gets in the way x 1 1/2, x 2, x 1/2, and return to 1 x.

Have a great day!

  • Can I increase the playback speed (ala VLC) while listening to MP3s on video?

    Hello

    Most of my audio files on my clip are NOT music. Most of my audio files are audio 'spoken word '. Here are the files audio of people talking to each other, or giving speeches, or read a book. I would like to be able to increase the speed of the audio, while keeping a normal height (not "chipmunk" voice).

    VLC does it well. I can increase the speed of playback of an audio file (or even a movie file), and VLC does his magic to keep all the sounds in regular field. (I'm mentioning VLC just to inform you of something I consider as a solution).

    My preference is that I would be able to control the speed of playback of the clip. ... In order to go to 2 X speed for a portion of the audio, then 1.50 X for another part. (I am stating this preference from the beginning, just in case someone proposed a solution of "desktop computer". A "computer desktop" solution is fine, but change-speed capability of reading on-the-fly on the Clip would be better.)

    Just to let you know, these audio files of my friends are mostly regular MP3 files. Some are M4B (audiobook). Some are files 'podcast-kind. " But most are simple MP3s.

    How can I do this?

    Thank you.

    Rockbox is great.

    I was able to increase the speed of reading without any voice of chipmunk.

    I activated TIMESTRETCH, that allows to change playback speed wihtout affecting the field of recording.

  • Windows Media Player playback speed problem - static...

    I play an MP3 to an audio book on WMP file and when I go on it 2 X normal playback speed, suddenly the sound produces a static noise. The audio is always readable, but static electricity is super annoying.

    Do you know what causes this and how to fix it?

    Thank you very much

    Thanks for the tips... I found actually an ideal solution that completely eliminated the problem...

    I previously converted the audio book in MP3 format, and as I said, I had that static when going above 2 X the playback speed.

    Well, what I did to solve the problem is the following:

    I used RealPlayer (which is a 100% free tool) to convert the MP3 to a Windows Media Audio file. Just click convert to button in RealPlayer and change the settings and press convert...

    AND'RE YOU READY TO GO...

    The audio is excellent... zero static... and now I can listen to the audio book of more than 2 X the normal speed in Windows Media Player and do with it in less time that I would otherwise...

    It's a beautiful thing!

    Wanted to leave instructions because other people have noticed that they have had this problem and I am sure that there will be more who need a solution in the future...

    Cool - let me know if you have any questions for those facing the same question...

  • Problem reading Audio of WMP11 after you increase the playback speed.

    Original title: problem reading Audio of WMP11

    I'm using Windows Vista 32-bit with Windows Media Player 11. After awhile, my music sounds like it is blurred. Specifically, sometimes while I increase the playback speed. This happens on 2 different computers, so I excluded a possible card problem.

    EDIT: I forgot to mention, all the parameters are normal, and all the improvements to my device are disabled.

    Make sure that disable all improvements is checked, as suggested at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/How-do-I-stop-my-music-from-skipping-or-breaking-up-when-I-play-it . Tim Baets

  • Change the playback speed of a MovieClip

    Hi and I'm going crazy with this.

    This is the situation: using the tool, I created a simple animation fire. The problem with this tool, it's that he won't let me adjust the speed of more than 200%. So my idea for this problem was to create a clip, use the deco tool it and somehow speed up the playback of this MovieClip.

    Well, so far I not had luck at all. I'm really bad with ActionScript which makes things worse.

    "Stage.frameRate = X"works but it changes the frame rate of everything."fire_mc.frameRate = X" does not work unfortunately.

    I must be accurate. I want to just this MovieClip to play 5 times faster that it plays now.

    Any help?

    You can use the following function to play a movieclip any framerate supported by the host computer:

    var currentMC:MovieClip

    playF(yourmovieclip,60);  //<->

    function playF(mc:MovieClip,fps:int):void {}

    currentMC = mc;

    MC.t = new Timer(1000/fps,0);

    mc.t.addEventListener (TimerEvent.TIMER, nextFF);

    MC.t.Start ();

    }

    function nextFF(e:TimerEvent):void {}

    currentMC.nextFrame ();

    {if(currentMC.currentFrame==currentMC.totalFrames)}

    currentMC.t.stop ();

    currentMC.t.removeEventListener (TimerEvent.TIMER, nextFF);

    currentMC.t = null;

    }

    }

  • FMS3 registered too high stream of playback speed

    Hi, is there a change between FMS2 and FMIS3 in stram.play () ?

    I need to publish a stream from the server that was recorded with FMS just before.
    When I read this stream on the client, it runs much too fast and that he pauses from time to time to recharge
    the next video data and then runs full speed in the next break.
    I tried to set the limits of bandwidth without effect.
    I tried different fps settings when recording without effect.
    I tried different fps settings during playback without effect.

    On FMS2, it worked well. (No, I can't come back.)
    I suspect the problem to be some server buffering or so, but I can't find a solution.
    Can anyone else? Perhaps a few pointers to documentation of server configuration?

    On the server:
    myStream = Stream.Publish (playVideoName);
    myStream.play ("streamnametoplay", 0);

    On the client:
    NS = new NetStream (netConn);
    video.attachNetStream (Nova Scotia);
    NS. Play ("streamnametoplay");

    Thanks for the tips

    Solved.

    Client side, simply use (for example)
    ns.bufferTime = 2;
    before playing the stream. The video is now playing on original speed.

  • global or local variables for speed?

    Hi, someone at - it an idea?

    is it faster to the use of global variables or properties (sprite) or the properties of the object?
    In other words is it smart to use as less globals possible or not (in terms of speed)? Or is not a difference.

    Thank you!

    www.SeriousGames.startpagina.nl

    In general, use the globals less possible, for various reasons (lighter &)
    more secure code, ability to reuse the names etc.).
    In terms of speed, local variables are faster in most of the languages
    (definition hierarchy, local verified first + entered less to research)
    (for). In Director however, no difference will be hardly noticeable, since
    the charge of executing line jargon leaves no room for sub or nearby to
    considerations of optimization nanoseconds.

  • Playback speed of audio books

    I seriously think to pick up a Sansa Fuze for an Audiobok reading tomorrow, but I have a few questions that have not been adequately answered in the forums.

    I need the "rocket" to be able to support audio books MP3 function, that I myself CD rip (usually 1 file per CD).  I need to be able to accelerate playback of these files and remember the playback position of the file I am listening.

    I'm also a Mac user, so I need to be able to drag and drop.

    The "rocket" will do what I need?

    Andy

    The "rocket" has a fast setting for audibooks, but this is only about 20-25% faster, and there is no pitch correction (voice sound unnatural to use it). Some say that Rockbox (an alternative firmware for the "rocket") works better for browsing than the original firmware, however, Rockbox is not supported by Sandisk, and the use of Rockbox on a Sandisk player voids the warranty.

    I don't know any mp3 player that a quick reading of high quality with pitch correction using the original firmware. I have not yet used Rockbox, but am tempted to try one one of my players. Rockbox can destroy a player, so use it at your own risk.

    The "rocket" remembers the position of lat played in a podcast or audio book file. It can be used with a Mac.

  • How to slow down a video AVI in windows media player? Playback speed is greyed out?

    I didn't have a good answer yet...

    The game speed is always grayed out.  Game speed settings do not work, except for the arrow buttons next and previous image.

    There is no scroll bar to drag the speed upwards or downwards.  Unchecking the cursor button does nothing.

    I am using Windows XP Pro, sp3.0.
