Vcac rest api group

Hello

I try to GET to https://VRA_URL:8443/darwin/api/2.0/group but I get no answer.

Added headers:

1 content-Type: application/json

2 permission: carrier < token >

Am I missing something?

Darwin's App Services?  I am familiar with this... but I know how to get a business group IaaS through the REST API of vRA if that is what you want.

  • Add a contact e-mail group via the Rest API

    Hello

    Is it possible to add a contact to a group of e-mail through the Rest API?

    I saw this article here http://topliners.eloqua.com/docs/DOC-3526 which shows that you can get a subscription email group contacts status, however it is not clear how actually to add a contact to a group of e-mail via the API.

    I tried to post data to ' data/contact / {id} / groups/email/subscription "but I get a response of"Method not allowed"API."

    If someone managed to achieve? If so, how?

    See you soon

    Hi David,

    The POST operation is not supported by this endpoint, but you can use PUT a method for updating subscriptions Contact:

    • PUT: / data/contact / {id} / email/group / {groupId} / subscription

    Where the request body contains an object of the subscription. Hope this helps and please let us know if you need more information.

    var catalogRest = vcac.createRestClient (vCACCAFEServicesEnum.CATALOG_SERVICE);

    vCAC 6.0.x plugin expects a json object in the call to rest.

    6.1 plugin expects a value of json string.

    This will do the trick:

    var response = catalogRest.post ("consumer/queries", JSON.stringify (item));

  • Add vNIC PortGroup scope with the REST API security group

    I created a security group within the reach of a PortGroup via the REST API. Now, I'm trying to add a vNIC, also via the REST API.

    To help illustrate, I have a JMTest1 VM with 1 vNIC connected to the PortGroup which is the scope of the security group. When I change this group the first item in the list that could be added to the security group is the first (and only) JMTest1 vNIC.

    AddvNICToSecurityGroup.PNG

    To add it via the REST API, I need to provide the following:

    https://192.168.x.x/API/2.0/services/SecurityGroup/SecurityGroup-XX/members/ < member-moref >

    for example I need to understand what the < member-moref > for the vNIC to JMTest1 and this is what I have a problem with.

    If I add the vNIC through the user interface and then interrogate the security group it gives me below the answer:

    < securitygroup >

    < objectIdobjectId > securitygroup-xx < / objectId >

    < type >

    < name > JMTest1 < / name >

    < / scope >

    < extendedAttributes / >

    < / member >

    < / securitygroup >

    It seems that the < member-moref > for the JMTest1 vNIC is < objectId > 500758f6-b97b - a 7, 79 - 0c 04 - 996f53edf3f0.000 < / objectId >

    If I run now:

    https://192.168.x.x/API/2.0/services/SecurityGroup/SecurityGroup-XX/members/500758f6-b97b-7a79-0c04-996f53edf3f0.000

    then the vNIC is successfully added to the security group. (yay!) So I am now left with the task of how to get

    500758f6-b97b - 7A 79 - 0c < objectId > 04 - 996f53edf3f0.000 < / objectId >

    of a vNIC?

    I have looked at the object in the Mob vCenter and via PowerCLI, but cannot see how to derive from it.

    Anyone know the answer to that?

    The uuid vnic is created by concatenating the vm instanceUuid + '. ' + the last three digits of the vnic device key.  (The vnic is located in the area of the config.hardware.device of the virtual machine and the key will be to shape 4xxx, where xxx represents the 3 numbers you need).

  • Where to find the vCAC new REST API documentation

    Hello

    I read that a REST API has been added to vCAC 6.x. The literature points to a document "vCloud QAnywhere Automation Center", which I was unable to locate so far.

    Does anyone know where to find this document or have a URL that points to the reference on the embedded API (e.g. in vCO, it would be the hostname:8281 / vco/api/docs) if vCAC provides a reference also?

    Thank you

    Watch that space, the documentation is reviewed internally at the present time.

  • REST API - subscriptions Contact

    Hello

    I'm updating subscriptions contact using the REST API, but the documentation at http://topliners.eloqua.com/docs/DOC-3526 seems to be updated. The current lead for/data/contact / {contactId} / groups/email/subscription is different than the result of the documentation.

    Can someone explain to me how I should manage subscriptions? I use https://secure.eloqua.com/API/REST/2.0 as the API endpoint.

    Thank you

    Ronald

    Hi Ronald,.

    The current stable version of the REST API is 1.0. Please note that 2.0 is public, but it is subject to change, and so we do not recommend that the community uses this.

    About the management of subscriptions, we will add a post shortly to describe how to subscribe and unsubscribe Contacts using the Rest API.

    Hope this helps and please let us know if you need more information.

  • REST API assignRolePermissionToUserGroup

    Im trying to update the objects of our clients have right of in vROps, programmatically through the REST API. The idea is that when a customer starts rotating or destroyed a virtual computer through vRA, we would find all of their machines virtual provisioned and rebuild the list of objects for their group of vROps through vRO using the REST API of vROps. I have a vRO workflow that looks like this:

    var groupId = "8c380090-d5c3-42a7-a77c-5de4437ce85b"
    var resourceId = "8e62002f-0965-47e2-a82a-6d403b44b756"

    var body = {"traversal-spec-instances" : [{
      "traversal-spec-instance" : {
           "selectAllResources" : false,
           "name" : "vSphere Hosts and Clusters",
           "resourceKind" : "vSphere World",
           "adapterKind" : "VMWARE",
           "resourceSelection" : [{
                "resourceId" : [
                     resourceId,
                     "4abb32e5-1fd0-443b-85ed-4995da4a1a0d"
                ],
                "type" : "SPECIFIC"
           }]
      }
    }],
    "allowAllObjects" : false,
    "roleName" : "ReadOnly"
    }
    System.log(JSON.stringify(body));

    var request = restHost.createRequest("PUT", "/auth/usergroups/" + groupId + "/permissions", body);
    request.contentType = "application/json";

    var json = JSON.stringify(System.getModule("com.vmware.library.http-rest").xml2json(request.execute().contentAsString));
    System.log(json);

    Which produces the string JSON:

    {"traversal-spec-instances":[{"traversal-spec-instance":{"selectAllResources":false,"name":"vSphere Hosts and Clusters","resourceKind":"vSphere World","adapterKind":"VMWARE","resourceSelection":[{"resourceId":["8e62002f-0965-47e2-a82a-6d403b44b756","4abb32e5-1fd0-443b-85ed-4995da4a1a0d"],"type":"SPECIFIC"}]}}],"allowAllObjects":false,"roleName":"ReadOnly"}

    There are no examples of the request body then I'm just doing what I interpret requires that the documentation of the REST API.

    Run this generates the error:

    {"error":{"message":"Invalid input format.","xmlns:ops":"http://webservice.vmware.com/vRealizeOpsMgr/1.0/","moreInformation":{"info":{"content":"/suite-api/api/auth/usergroups/8c380090-d5c3-42a7-a77c-5de4437ce85b/permissions","name":"api-uri"}},"httpStatusCode":400,"xmlns:xs":"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema","xmlns:xsi":"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance","apiErrorCode":400}}

    Which is not very useful.

    I checked with other API calls that the groupId is correct and returns a grump object valid through the REST API. So my assumption at this point is that the body of the request is malformed but I'm not sure how and errors are not giving me much to go.

    You're right about the resourceKind.  I did some tests and the JSON body below worked for me.  I changed two things:

    1. I converted the body to a string variable.  It seemed that it was sent as an object.
    2. I removed the "path-spec-instance", while the instance is just placed between braces inside the "crossing-spec-proceedings".  I did a get on a sample group and that's how it was formatted.
    var body = {"traversal-spec-instances" : [{

           "selectAllResources" : false,
           "name" : "vSphere Hosts and Clusters",
           "resourceKind" : "vSphere World",
           "adapterKind" : "VMWARE",
           "resourceSelection" : [{
                "resourceId" : [
                     resourceId,
                     "414f5fdc-a651-4886-adb7-5d947c69ae63"
                ],
                "type" : "SPECIFIC"
           }]

    }],
    "allowAllObjects" : false,
    "roleName" : "ReadOnly"
    }
    System.log(JSON.stringify(body));
    System.log(typeof body);
    var stringBody = JSON.stringify(body);

    var request = restHost.createRequest("PUT", "/auth/usergroups/" + groupId + "/permissions", stringBody);
    request.contentType = "application/json";

    Did anyone had trouble like this?

    Hello everyone, thanks for all of you who have tried to help.

    I tried to mix the two real esxi hosts mixed with esxi embedded to meet the needs of the guests... and maybe I could have configured something wrong in the network.

    Then I saw a post where affinity rules could be changed by editing the file /opt/vmware/vio/etc/omjs.properties change false to true oms.disable_hosts_anti_affinity.

    In doing so I could use only two real esxi hosts, using one in each of the two groups that are needed.

    Thanks again, Marcelo.

    I can get all the values I want to (GET), but when I try to update a resource using PUT, and then I get a "415 Unsupported Media Type" webException.
