Hello. I installed the latest update of Firefox and when I start a new tab page displays not now my google input line. I use Windows 10. Until the recent update (v4.1.01) each time I started a new tab the new page would show the google search entry line which is my default. Can help you to restore this feature? TKS

Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use the add-on tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.

Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.

Notice, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.

You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.

You have the screen image out to another monitor (one that is not plugged in fact). How you pass to the internal laptop display varies, but most cell phone companies make a combination of keys, such as Fn + F6 or something.  Looking for a symbol that looks like a monitor.  It is usually color coded and requires activation of a Fn key.

I would like an option that reads 'check at startup' on when windows 7 checks the automatic updates. Some people still turn off their computers when you are not using it. And if they do not check to turn on, they will begin the navigation with an operating system up-to-date. This option exists? I have not found. Thank you

  • Lenovo laptop drive opens only when I start my computer?

I recently bought a Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 and when I start the machine, either from scratch or awakening of the mode standby by pressing the power on button, the cd player pings open. It's really annoying! Anyone know why? Or how I can get it to stop?

    It's the machine:
    Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 i3 - 3120M 6 GB 1 TB DVDRW 15.6 Win8 "- white (59372917) - dabs.com"

Also, I've only had the machine yesterday - and it happened from the moment when I first turned on. I have no restore points and you don't want to mess around with something like an uninstall. I just want to know how I can activate this parameter (if it is a parameter) OUT, nothing has been installed yet or anything like that. It is so brand new.

Hello. Called Lenovo. Guy was really helpful. Told me how to restore to original. Did not work. Thus recalled. Spoke to him again, and he said that he has never heard speak of him before either, and we sort of get a new one to replace it. It happens that two days ago. So I'm hoping dabs.com will deal with it quickly.

First of all, note that you should be concerned all the programs
starts automatically, not only those who enter in the system tray.
Not all the programs auto-start manifesting by an icon in the
    Status bar.

On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its
Options to see if he has the choice of not start (make sure you)
Indeed choose not to run, not just a "don't show icon.
Optional). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If that is not
work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line, and then click the Startup tab.
Uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.

However, if I were you, I wouldn't do it just for the application of
the minimum number of running programs. Despite what many people say
You should be concerned, not with the way that a lot of these programs
you run, but who. Some of them can degrade performance severely, but
others have no effect on performance.

Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do
is to determine what each program is, what its value is up to you which
the performance cost is its running all the time. You can try
Internet search and ask questions about the details here.

Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed
decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.

  • How to change the programs that load when Windows starts

In simple terms... How to change the programs that load when Windows starts?  Because my boot time is slow in arriving at my login screen!

Download and run the "Autoruns" from Microsoft Sysinternals freeware:

It lists all programs that start at startup and allows you to disable it by simply removing a check mark.  This makes it easy to reverse in case something goes wrong.

Once the software is installed, it will not be removed under normal circumstances.

I do not know if your computer is still infected and it is removed or the problem is that you can't 'see' photoshop' but it is always installed.

to verify this, check the installation directory and check its size on your hard drive.
