Video playback in the media player in windows (Vista) is perfect. But when I create a dvd in Windows DVD Maker and read the dvd, the sound is off by a fraction of a second on the dvd. Is this a setting problem?

  Movie Maker probably only supports unprotected WMA files.

  WMA files will be protected if they were torn apart by WMP with the copy protect music setting (Options of WMP - music Rip) turned on. For an unprotected WMA, you will need to re - rip track, after being assured that this setting is disabled.

  I am having some problems with the Windows Media Player 11 on Vista. On my XP machine, when I discovered a video frame by frame, it works perfectly back and forth. However when I try to play the same video on my Vista machine, the button to the front of the image works perfectly fine but the previous image button takes video from 5 to 10 frames. Since I use my machine Vista more and need this feature often enough, it gets boring very quickly. It is a drive problem (since the same player works great under XP with the same video) and can be solved with a patch or some sort?

  Thank you for posting.  I understand the problem you are having, but I do not understand why in the need for these features.  Depending on what you're trying to do, may be able to use Movie Maker instead of it you also has characteristics of the image by image.  If you could include that you are using this feature, because I can give you a good alternative or possible difficulty of deliverance.

  I try to boot my laptop with the power profile high performance. I was surprised to discover that the problem of the slow video playback of the external HARD drive has been resolved.   Windows Media Player has adjustments for brightness and contrast.
  Just go to... View / improvements / video settings... the sliders for

  I m using windows7 and my Media Player is getting hit while playing a 1080 p video. The image struck while the audio is fine.

  How can I solve this problem?

  What type of hardware you have, esp CPU, GPU and Ram?

  Some low spec material that is generally a netbook or an old PC may struggle to play 1080 p video, esp if it plays standard definition or even 720 p OK videos.

  If you have a suitable hardware, make sure that your graphics card drivers are up to date with the latest version available for your make and model of PC from the manufacturer support site.

  If they are up to date, try to uninstall, restart the PC and reinstall WMP to see if that helps - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/26107/how-to-reinstall-windows-media-player-in-windows-7-to-solve-problems/ (assuming you are using WMP12?).
