Videos YouTube won't load in Firefox

Hello

I can't get YouTube videos to play in my Office Firefox browser. I am running Windows 7 64-bit with Firefox 24.0.

I looked for solutions to the problem and tried all these:

-Completely empty my cache
-Disable the software to block advertising on youtube.com
-Install the latest version of RealPlayer
-Install the latest version of Flash Player

None of them have worked. All the YouTube videos that I load just displays a large black rectangle.

What should I do?

First, update your extension Center of YouTube, who got two releases since the version you have installed last month. Operable using the integrated update checking, or you may need to visit the site of modules:

  • Integrable: orange Firefox button (or tools) > Add-ons > "gear" button > check updates

What is fix?

Although the latest version of RealPlayer / RealDownloader should work with the current Flash players, you can test with the disabled. You can do it on these two tabs:

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

Does make a difference?

Other standard measures to solve the problems of Flash are as follows:

(1) disable graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox and Flash

(A) in Firefox, uncheck the box here and restart:

the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > advanced > General > "use hardware acceleration when available.

(B) in Flash, see this article from Adobe technical support: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues

(2) disable protected mode (Windows Vista/7/8)

  • After you have installed Mozilla Firefox with Adobe Flash Player 11.6 20.0, videos YouTube do not load correctly.

Videos YouTube has of worked before installing Adobe Flash Player. Once installed the screen flickers, after a second, rewind at the start, then plays normally. This only happens when I use Internet Explorer. I reinstalled Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player several times but nothing seems to work. Decommissioning of Adobe Flash Player does not work either. It seems that Firefox is the problem, but I'm not completely sure.

You can check for problems with the latest version of the Flash plugin and try these:

    • disable an eventual extension of the browser for Firefox Plugin RealPlayer Record and if installed RealPlayer update
    • disable the safe_mode in Flash 11.3 and later versions
    • turn off hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

  • Videos YouTube won't play. The black screen and the pictures are the same.

The videos do not play or load at all. Just like thumbnails. The comments section constantly says "loading". I have tried every thing on the site here to solve these problems. The only thing that has worked to be honest was trying to load Internet Explorer. Adblock Plus and Flash Player plugins are either removed or disabled. Tried to make a new profile and delete the folder in %AppData%. It works for awhile and then randomly the fact still.

Things that CAN help with this problem. YouTube is the only site that does that when it comes to videos. Sites require that use flash sometimes will not play even if everything is clean installed. I have Nvidia Geforce experience working with shadowplay allowed to also record the Desktop connections to. Because it uses the h.24 codec, I thought it was clashing with him the origin of the problem. I can turn off shadowplay and reload the youtube page 2 to 3 times and the main video will play only.

Finally, I let fall the other day, put everything back as it was and put the computer to sleep. When I woke up I decided what the Hey, ill youtube charge just for fun to see if it fixes as if by magic. Well, it does. So tonight its back to the drawing board again. I had noticed that wouldn't change items when twitch on my homepage from yahoo with the news. So I decided to try the webtools / tool to reload the network page. Fixed flash yahoo run of new articles but then my problem youtube is back! Ive a fire fox for as long as I can remember and never had any problems with it! If Ive come here, it means Ive gave up stubborn. I'm proud of myself on my own attachment issues, but this one has me so I yield.

You can view the log in the Web Console for error messages and network monitor (Firefox/tools > Web Developer) to see if the content does not load, or may be blocked.

Use Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a new connection.

  • videos YouTube won't play in any browser

Win7 Pro 64 bit, IE10.0.9200.16721.   Can't play youtube videos in ANY browser. I think it started after running a registry cleaner back in July.

He spent two months trying to solve and still does not. Caches cleared, quit all programs, including firewalls and antivirus, nothing helps.

Transfer files and settings to another drive (d), as move to new computer and didn't have fresh Win7 installed on C:. Migrate files and settings, all put upward, still does not work. Flash drive deleted, run uninstall tool flash to make sure that nothing indicating, reinstalled, still does not. IE uninstalled, reinstalled, still does not work. Have the latest version of Java and Shockwave plugins - I uninstalled and reinstalled.

Figured maybe something migrated from files and settings saved important files d: C: reformatted, installed Win7 fees. Still does not work after the installation again. Think it's very weird request you AGAIN. Maybe new install of Win7 for C: pick up info off D: installing or reading old prefetch or registry of information recorded from the transfer?

I tried IE10, Chrome and Firefox no success. By clicking on the link in the email or go to YouTube, player screen comes up with photo as if everything is normal. After clicking, snowy black screen with the message "year error has occurred, please try again later". And below, there is a link that says "learn more." I have been through all the steps and the steps twice around and do not yet have a solution. I can watch flash videos if they are shipped on a site like MSN or some new videos but links e-mail or going on the youtube site and clicking on videos will not work. Sometimes the ads will come and they will play very well up until the video should start, then the message.

I'm starting to think I have to do a reformat and total fresh install Win7, desktop and all programs without the d: hanging... Very frustrated - one of the most difficult problems to fix in more than 20 years of lifting autour with computers... I was all over the Microsoft Forums and web research to find something that would work, but keep empty to come. Any help from any of you supergurus out there would be appreciated - thanks!

  • videos YouTube won't play in any browser, I tried

    Hello.

    I have windows 7. 64 bit.

Recently I can't get youtube videos to play in the Moon light, internet explore, opera or waterfox.

When I tried chrome, it worked. But I discovered, they were in html 5.

flash on other sites such as dailymotion videos play fine.

I can also download YouTube, whether you use firefox addons or third-party programs.

my default browser is pale Moon, and I use the latest version. @

In the settings of the flash player, I have disabled "enable hardware.

I noticed in the global settings for flash player, as in the section advanced, it tells me that

active x version is not installed or is not installed npapi or ppapi plugins.are.

well, this weird, youtube ads will play in flash mode, but not the main video.

    • the Player ActiveX version is for Internet Explorer
    • the NPAPI version is for browsers like Firefox, Opera Pale Moon, Waterfox
    • the PPAPI version is for Google Chrome

If you have any of these installed, of course nothing will play in any browser.

    What files do you have

    • C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash?
    • C:\Windows\Syswow64\Macromed\Flash?
  • Video YouTube won't play in FF, playing in IE9 and Chrome

AM now common with FF 13, Flash is up to date. But FF play more video content on YouTube and other sites as well.

Chrome and IE9 do not have this problem

On YouTube, I get the video with the circumflex [>] key window in the center of the video. But when I click to play it, I get the message:
An error has occurred. Please try again later.

I finally disabled the add-on for RealPlayer Record (or was it an extension? I can't understand the differences between the Add-ons, plug-ins and extensions) and now the video plays well. But, of course, I can capture is no longer clips.

I guess that conflicts and incompatibilities will be finally resolved!

    Thanks for the reply-

  • Videos YouTube won't play mode full screen

    Hello world

I have already done research on this issue, but could not find any solution. The problem is, as soon as I switch mode full screen YouTube browser stops and after a few seconds it says there is an unspecified error and reloads the page. I use Windows 7 Edition home premium 64-bit and I had this problem with internet explorer 8, ie 9 and google chrome. I tried the thing of hd graphics, but it did not work. Any idea on how to solve this problem?

Take a look at this article: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash#Performance_or_display_issues_with_certain_Flash_videos

It caters mainly to Firefox users, but a lot of the info can be applied to other browsers as well.

  • Videos youtube will not play in FireFox, but Internet Explorer and Apple's Safari will be. Keep see two links saying Download & Play Now and no work

also I keep seeing this pop up window in the corner...

    http://i1253.Photobucket.com/albums/h.../5f03a931.jpg

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

  • URL clicked in other programs will not load in Firefox

Only in the last weeks of 1-3 (?) or so, I find that I can not click on links in other programs and have load URL in Firefox, which is my default browser. They always used to load perfectly and move me to the new tab in FF, but now they do not have.

At first I tried to disable some recent FF modules one at a time to see if one of them could have been the problem, but that does not resolve, even though I may have missed one. Yet, I can't imagine how an independent add-on could cause URLs do not load from other programs. I tried to load the URL by clicking on it in Thunderbird, WordPad, MailWasher Pro and free agency, but each of them either just trembled at the screen for a moment and then stopped, or gave me a message such as 'WordPad could not open the URL' or ' there was a problem sending a command to the program "(free agency). However, when I copy and paste these URLS even in FF and press ENTER, these sites load perfectly.

I may be wrong in the present, but it seems that something has changed in the FF that now prevents the links clicked in other programs from loading. My only other thought at the moment, it's that this peut eventually began all the time I upgraded from FF 10.0.2 to FF 11.0.1, but I have no evidence to support this theory.

It's really an annoying problem and embarrassing, so any help to solve it will be much appreciated!

    Thank you
    Al

The problem is solved now, as a result of assistance that I'm on WindowsSecrets forum. Once I realized that the problem occurred only with PCM and Thunderbird, but with other programs as well (I tried WordPad and free agency, which didn't even load the URL in Firefox), I posted the question on other forums, trying to see if others knew something about this issue. I got the answer of a member of the forum on this page:

       http://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread.php/145441-URLs-clicked-in-other-programs-won-t-load-in-Firefox?p=847784#post847784

In case you are not a member it or may not load this page, here is her suggestion:

With FF closed type %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ in the start menu search box, click the item that appears and delete localstore.rdf FF will replace it on starting.

I did this and all four programs that had previous problems loading of the URL, including MWC, now load them perfectly. The only (small) problem with this solution was localstore.rdf apparently saves all information about things like the Firefox toolbars and their customization, so all that was lost when I deleted the file, but I re-adapted quite quickly and everything is fine. Any thoughts about what localstore.rdf does, why this problem happened, or how to do to prevent it happening again will be appreciated.

I hope this info helps. Thanks again for your help.

    Kind regards
