  Unfortunately, you cannot change the dimensions that make up the 'planning unit '. (Scenario, entity, & Version)

  This improvement was repeatedly requested to Hyperion. I can only imagine that the content of the planning unit is very central to functioning internal Hyperion Planning and very difficult to change.

  This limitation has forced me to bring some unwanted design changes in the past. For example, I had to combine the dimensions as entity and Department (in one dimension called entity) so that I could get the Department in the workflow. It's about the only solution to your problem. Unfortunately, it can really mess up your dimensions.

  I wish there was a better solution.

  Firstly I have properly configure MSAD shared services.
  
  I am trying to configure a MSAD user and use it to connect to shared services and it can connect successfully.
  
  but when I try to connect to a hyperion planning I got this error:
  
  * "failed to synchronize with the provisioning of users."
  
  
  Everyone knew why this is happening or have experience the same problem?

  Is it 11.1.2.0 or 11.1.2.1 you run as a SQL Server 2008 R2 is supported only with 11.1.2.1

• View the integration queue data

  I have implemented a workflow creates an integration event and configured to follow the fields suitable, but I was wondering if it is possible to view the data that are followed by the integration event?
  
  There is a record in "Number of Transactions in the queue" which is just a test, but I don't see how to display it, if anyone could help that would be great!

  There is no user interface or an Assistant to see data within the queue, the only option is to query the queue using Web Services integration

• How to view the grid plan of field in 3D (CS5)

  

  I'm showing the plane as you can see in this picture that I found online.

  My screen does not show this. I selected the view > display > plan of mass 3D but who doesn't.

  Any suggestions?

  Hello

  You must have one of the 3D tools selected for the display of the grid. Try pressing 'K' or 'n'. If that is not activate, then go to view > Options and click on it to give it a check (or enable/disable/hide by pressing Ctrl / Cmd + H).

  Currently I use the EPMA Version 11.1.2.3.500 and 11.1.2.3.501.11 planning. I want to know the name of the table, which store the values of user variables. I need to pick the members of dimension of user variables. Please let me know if you have any ideas on this, also let me know the location; where I need browse server. Thanks in advance.

• HI I'm new to HYPERION planning. Can someone help me with the script Calclation.

  I wrote a script DataExport in the hyperion planning calculation script.

  The Script is validated and successfully deployed. But I do not get to the exported file. What's in it.

  This is my script.

  We use the Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.2

  
  We have a requirement to customize the time dimension as follows,

  -Period

  -HalfYear1

  -Q1

  -Q2

  -HalfYear2

  -Q3

  -Q4

  How to add the first half in the Dimension of the time... Please help me with this...

  P1-click and click on 'Add summary period' and give it in Q1. Next, click on Q1 and click on 'Add summary period' and give HY1... The same for the 2nd quarter, HY2 etc.

  If you still facing problem, what you see in period Dimension. Expand all and give the member names.

• ODI import not from columns of a Hyperion planning scheme

  I tried to reverse engineer the Hyperion Planning application schema to get one of the tables. I added the data server and the physical schema, I added the model and made of reverse engineering. Reverse engineering is successful but the tables appear not in the models.

  Dear all,

  The problem has been resolved. My planning application schema name was 'AS_IS. I entered the physical schema "As_Is" and test the connection, the connection was successful. Now when I tried to reverse engineering, it gave me 0 rows.

  I debugged the code to extract the tables, the code has been filtering 'As_Is' owner to get tables. As a result, it was not all columns. I changed the physical schema of "AS_IS", and now it shows me the tables.

  The requirement is corresponding Hyperion Planning entered in forms on OBIEE reports comments. I was able to retrieve details about the author, content of the note as well as the corresponding dimensions in considering the following tables:
  1.HSP_CELL_NOTE
  2.HSP_CELL_NOTE_ITEM
  3.HSP_OBJECT
  4.HSP_USER
  
  But I'm confused about the later approach that I take. How the Federation would be made with the Essbase cube in the OBIEE repository? How comments should be referenced to specific OBIEE reports corresponding to the Hyperion Planning Forms?
  
  I use Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.2 and OBIEE 11.1.1.6.

  The problem has been resolved. For example. For comments, a notice must be created in the relational database where the records retrieved from the HSP_CELL_NOTE and HSP_CELL_NOTE_ITEM HSP_OBJECT, the Member of dimension alias names must be recovered form HSP_ALIAS or HSP_MEMBER in the view. Then using the lookup function in OBIEE, we can extract the value (comment) the relational database view looking upward with the names of members alias Essbase in the MDB layer. Thanks to Charles Philippe for orientation. Hope it helps others.

• How can I remove only one instance shared a member of Hyperion Planning

  Can someone tell me how I can load the Hyperion Planning IKM to remove only specific instance of a shared member of Hyperion Planning? I tried specifying the shared member, the parent of the shared instance, "Shared" as the type of data storage, and 'Level 0 Delete' operation. Instead of delete just the shared under the specified parent instance, however, the IKM deleted member base, which in turn deleted all instances shared member and member data (thing lucky I work in a development environment!). At one point, I thought I had things works as I wanted to, but now I think I must have confused.
  
  Is anyone know definitively that a specific instance of a shared member can be removed the planning and, if so, exactly how do?
