• rate limiting in vshield?

  We use vshield edge in a multi-tenant environment (with insulation vlan) to provide virtual firewall/router/gateways to our hosted tenants. Each tenant has an instance of static external edge IP/vshield and so each tenant may have their own port-forwarding, VPN, DHCP policies, etc.

  Allows us to keep tenants isolated from other groups of ports each - each pg is assigned its own vlan in our environment switched. We also have a pg / vlan for facing external/public devices. If you have an interface on this page and you have an external IP configured you are on the public internet routed.

  Our bodies vshield far so 1 internal interface for portgroup "SociétéLe" - (which has the IP address private and is the gateway for virtual machines) and 1 interface for ' external/Public Interface", which is the access to the public internet.   If you want to use rate limiting with vshield, you use vCD because vShield offers no control of bandwidth as the limitation of flow or QoS.

• Old HP1510 works in Windows 8 & IE10 after the downloaded driver, but running out of PC printing options.

  Why Apple do such wrong?

  They have not replaced the star with a heart, because they are two different things. Stars are disabled by default in iTunes now go to preferences and change the odds: stars and love.   In any case, your ad is really amazing. LCD technology is truly the best for the eyes and the content is illustrated flicker. The old monitors refresh rate of 60 Hz was quite low and result flickered photo. Higher discount rates using the image was stilly and flicker.

  LCD technology is different and standard setting is 60 Hz. In my opinion you should speak with your family doctor. Maybe you need glasses when working on PC. I have some colleagues in my office who use glasses when working on PC.

• WET610N Bit rate issue

  Under the 'Status' and then 'Wireless Network' menu, there is a "flow" indicator.  What is - it really tell you?  What is the potential flow based on the quality of the signal and the network that you are connected (for example 300 Mbits/s to N) or is it flow based on current usage?

  Here is my experience.  My WET610N reports static 13.5 Mbps bit rate if there is no traffic.  However, if I start downloading something on the device connected to the WET610N then the bit rate jumps up to 162 Mbit/s.  Is this indicator totally * beep * or is there actually something worthwhile for us about the performance of WET610Ns?

  The WET610N has rate limiting, depending on your network traffic.

  When there is no traffic, it will come down to the base rate of your router (in this case 13.5Mbps).

  Once you start the stream, the rate will increase.

  If you want a good measure of rate, try to download a large file from a local computer and watch this screen.

Basically if I have two 241 options set, the 1130 comes by first allowing the 1130 s associated, but not the 1200. If I remove the Option 241, the associated 1200 1130. Basically, how can I get both working properly the scope?

• Better use of the 10GbE with vSphere Enterprise

  We are about to deploy a new SAN connected with 10 GbE (iSCSI and NFS). Servers (5 in total, with about 50 VMs) all have 2x10GbE and 2x1GbE ports. Everything will be connected with a pair of Nexus 3000 10GbE switches. We read a lot of information how the best way to use the 10 GB connections. There are many conflicting views on how best to configure the networking, but most of the documentation recommends setting up distributed vSwitches. Unfortunately we lack more Enterprise it is not an option. We * could * updated, but at this point, I want to avoid this path.

  With that support is in place, what is the best way to make use of 10 GB using standard vSwitches? I'm fine with using the ports of 1 GB if necessary, but it would be great if we could put everything on all 10 GB ports.

  Recommendations and suggestions greatly appreciated!

  As you've probably discovered already your best bet is to use Enterprise Plus licenses so that you can take advantage of the i/o control network to divide the 10Gb network cards and share them with iSCSI, NFS, vMotion, virtual machine and management.

  Given your other options I would create two switches.  A management and vMotion with connections rising 2x1GB.  Configure this active / standby with active management on a NETWORK card and watch over the other and vice versa for vMotion that each 1 GB NIC is dedicated to a single task, but always the possibility to switch on it are required.

  With the second switch add the two 10 GB uplinks and create two vmkernel iSCSI ports.  Set each uplink active on a portgroup and unused on the other and then activate the iSCSI connection.  See the picture below for an example.

  

  Now create additional exchanges for traffic of NFS and virutal machine and assign them to the same switch.  Set up NFS as active / standby and the VM to route based on the port id.  Don't forget to give a different ID for each type of traffic to VLAN.

  If you are familiar with QoS on Cisco you can prioritize traffic iSCSI, NFS, and virtual machine accordingly to ensure that the iSCSI traffic is always available.  You can take this a little more away by setting transmit rate limits on portgroup VM traffic so that he is not eat all 10 GB of the uplink.

  Looks like you have a corrupted BIOS.

  I recommend asking Toshiba http://pc-support.toshiba-europe.com/ for any help. They got the disc special crisis to retrieve the faulty ROM BIOS module and instructions on how to install it.

  Unfortunately, your options are very limited:

  (1) not at all save and keep your old backups.

  (2) start backups again and the old one will be deleted.

  The essential is that your entire backup file is damaged and utility disk on your Mac is unable to repair the file, so Time Machine a delete older backups and start a new backup.
