  I just all new BB Curve 8900 on Vodafone. Its the first BB I've owned and I seem to have a bit of trouble. When I try to download the App World, I get the following error message:

  "Device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Blackberry App World"

  How can this be?

  OK then... interesting for Vodafone to push support far... Well, by I guess.

  So I guess that I change their instructions... rather than to remove an installed version of the AppWorld in the way they suggest, I suggest go to:

  Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications

  See if BB AppWorld is listed as installed. If so, highlight (but do not click) it and then press the BBKey and select Delete. If she wasn't there, then continue on these steps.

  Then do a batt pull reboot:

  With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.

  Then re - activate your THS:

  Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > BBKey > sign up now

  Then re - send all the service books:

  Then do another reboot batt-pop.

  Then, get a new link for AppWorld from here:

  I don't remember the minimum number of characters in the password, it might be six, but why not try using a password with 6, I know full well that work of 8 characters.

  A BlackBerry data plan is required to use many features on your BlackBerry.  Basically, without a BlackBerry data plan, just what you can do is to call and send text messages.  Everything else, including BlackBerry Messenger, e-mail, surf the internet, requires additional features of a BlackBery data plan.  The plan that you currently have, even with the internet, is not sufficient on your BlackBerry phone.

  Different carriers have different levels of plans so make sure you tell your carrier you want to do on your phone so that the right plan can be proposed to you.

  Hi, I put a password to unlock my bb device. Three days ago a friend had the bb and tried to discover the password, he has tried 8 times.   This right.  You must use the word blackberry to continue.  When you put the password again, it will appear as letters regular to avoid typos, etc.  Oonly you get 10 chances and the password is case-sensitive.  If the password has a number, remember to use the ALT key first.  I don't know if the number of password retries reset to 10 if do you a battery pull, but you can try.

  I have a Bold 9000 on o2 (UK) network running on 4.6.0.303.  I noticed on the download page dedicated to my carrier on blackberry.com v5.0 is finally available for the 9000 "BOLD".  I then downloaded and installed, but the Desktop Manager fails to recognize and offer only 4.6 for my "BOLD".  Even when I try the software update in the Desktop Manager it tells me that my device is up-to-date.  I never "doctored" files or original firmware and used only never before Desktop Manager to install updates of the firmware.

  I waited for centuries for my network offer the new firmware so it's frustrating that now, it appeared, I can actually do something with it.  Any help / advice greatly appreciated.

  Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

  My latest lamp died with a JVM. I just replaced today and I want to retrieve my downloaded applications. After I restored the device of BlackBerry Desktop, any of my downloaded apps are there. I have a brand new 9860, together running 7.1.  I run the App World. He told me to upgrade.   Running currently on OS X El Capitan with Update Version 10.11.3 installed January 27, 2016

  Problem: I was on the purchase of 2016 Office for Mac and tried to install the update of El Capitan OS X 10.11.1 which is necessary to solve the problems with this version of Microsoft Office.  During installation, the following error message appears:

  "OS X El Capitan update cannot be installed on this drive. This volume does not meet the conditions required for this update".

  You are using a newer version of El Capitan that the updater contains and so cannot install it.
