Want to come back to Windows 8 and product key is lost.
I have upgraded to windows 10, knowing that I could restore at anytime because I got the CD and the product key for windows 8 (OEM version). Now that windows 10 will soon be available in full version, I would rollback, get my free upgrade, then reported complete. However, flooded House, the items have been moved and ive lost the product key. I still have the oem box and cd. Can I get the product key? Or do I have to buy it again. I always receive amazon for her as well. I know I can get the full version if I continue to test, but I don't want to do that.
↑ This is what it looks like. Miss me the blue box that has the code on it. Still have the white one.
If I don't have to buy again, can give you links to the right places to buy CDs codes for cheap?
Thank you
Hello Nicolas,.
Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.
Thank you for your query details.
It is regrettable that the product key is lost.
However, it may be stated on a label on the box OEM or it may be mentioned in any e-mail confirmation that you have received from Amazon.
If you are still not able to find the product key, you can contact your computer manufacturer.
You can buy the product key Windows 8 Microsoft store.

I hope this information helps.
Please let us know if you need more help.

No need to uninstall Windows 8 first. Start with your recovery discs and they will format (clear) the hard drive.

I am running vista and you want to go back to Windows XP. How to switch back?
I bought a new hard drive. I installed vista. Which turns out to be is not very compatible with the rest of my equipment. I would like to go back to windows XP and get rid of vista completely. How do I do that?
If you do not have your XP disc:
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send an XP Recovery disk.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
You are doing a new installation of XP, wiping the Vista operating system Partition from the hard disk containing Vista in the process.
Follow the steps below in the link, to do a clean install; read the part where you remove the existing Vista Partition, create a new Partition, format, etc...
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

I want to go back to windows 7
My laptop came with Windows 7 above. I put Windows 8 on it and don't like it.
I don't have a recovery disk... don't think I'd need it :-(
I want to go back to Windows 7!
Do I need to buy this product or is it possibly hiding on my computer somewhere?
Help, please... PS I tried the thing of recovery where you press F11 at startup upward and it did nothing.
You can buy a recovery disk (HP dvd). This would be a specific model. Contact HP or
Go to HP.com support and drivers for your system model. You should have a link to a page to buy a DVD of restoration. This would bring your laptop to factory fresh (out of box condition). The recovery partition has been "broken" by your upgrade.
Last time I bought a DVD of recovery, it was less $20 dollars (US).
Kind regards
Louis

I am running windows 8.1 on a Toshiba laptop. I have a windows installation disc 7 I bought because I want to go back on windows 7. How to do this?
Thank you!
You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 8 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.

Return the laptop if it came preloaded with Windows 8 and purchase one already preloaded with Windows 7, they are always available:

Version of Windows 7 is showing not genuine so want to go back to Windows XP
I recently updated my Windows XP to Windows 7 Home Premium, but after a few weeks, my computer has decreed that my version of Windows was not authentic. Attempts to repeat the upgrade failed, and now I want to just go back to Windows XP and buy an upgrade is appropriate at a later date. Unfortunately, my Windows XP CD doesn't let me downgrade. Is there a way to downgrade your version of Windows?
Reinstall Windows XP

When you are prompted to boot from the CD, do so. To do this, press any key on the keyboard.
Windows XP will go into its configuration process.
Once you arrive at the welcome configuration, press enter on your keyboard to start the installation process
Press F8 on your keyboard to accept the license agreement
Select the partition, and then press D on your keyboard to remove it

I want to remove pre-installed windows 8 and want to install windows xp in hp 6 but idont know how to install
Hello
First thing to do is to go to the HP website and see if the XP drivers are available for your model of HP.
http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
If there is no XP drivers, XP does not work for you.
If the XP drivers are available, looking for a place to buy XP, which is a terrible thing to do as Microsoft did not sell XP for many years.
You run the very serious risk of buying pirated XP software from anywhere on the Net.
Stay with your preinstalled Windows 8.
See you soon.

Please forgive me for not knowing how to use this forum, I am an old man and not good at computers, I called Adobe, they said it was my only hope!
Sorry to repeat
Everything was fine until my Windows 10, lost the start feature, so I had to go back to Windows 7, in this process, I lost my Adobe Reader software, I tried about ten times with different versions and different locations, all with the same error message that is download "the feature you are trying to use is on an unavailable network resource"... are looking for It seems that it does not find when I search there, and I no longer seem to have the AcroRead.msi... the most difficult file, I try, I get deeper and deeper into things I don't know... I am looking for a simple solution!
When it gets to this point, it is probably better to start from scratch.
First of all, download, install and run Adobe Reader cleaning tool to get rid of all remains little. Here is a link to the tool: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs
Then go to the following link to download the full installer for the reader.
