• Tecra A10 - order of Installation of XP, other updates to Windows and JRE

  Sorry to post a new thread, but the old "[Tecra A10 - installation for XP order |]" http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=45611] "being closed and my question is about the same subject."

  I got hold of a Tecra A10 PTSB0A-002001 so I would install XP SP3 top the order of installing additional drivers from Toshiba is very useful. Thanks Ivan25 for this information.

  Toshiba has also include a Java Runtime Environment 2 package which I intend to replace it with a JSE 7. I would like to know in what order it should be installed?

  In addition, after installing XP SP3 there are still hundreds of Windows updates to apply these updates to Windows must be installed directly after installation of XP SP3 or drivers Toshiba?

  I saw a good deal on a Toshiba Satellite U200 and want to buy, only problem is the Windows XP Home comes with, it is in French, and I want an English... OK, I have one English here, so I can activate it, but I was wondering if I can just install the English version and remove the French class. Do I have to re - install all drivers and stuff?

  If you want to use the Windows in English then you definitely install this OS in the English language.
  Then you have two choices. Either you want to use only a single OS on the HARD drive and install Windows in English on the existing French operating system partition you will create a second partition and install the English Windows as the second operating system.

  After the installation of the OS, you will need to install the drivers of Toshiba and utility in the right order if you want to use the features of Toshiba laptop together.

• Libraries does not respond after a clean installation and installation of all other drivers and programs

  Recently, I did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate. Everything has been removed from pilots to programs. I also removed a Windows.old folder to save space for now, I use an SSD (Samsung 830 Series).

  My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV12X.
  There is no problem when I cloned comes from my HARD drive, I wanted just a clean install because it was too messy.

  Some third-party programs may cause the problem.

  To work with the issue, I suggest you follow the steps:

  Method 1: Clean boot

  When the computer starts to boot, programs non-Microsoft will not be started and would avoid any interruption of their share.

  Note: once you are done with the boot, follow step 3 of section to set your computer to normal startup.

  Note: If in case, you are connected via a connection wireless, and then when you start the System Configuration utility to perform the clean boot, click Startup and Services tab one time and check wireless see corresponding section are checked (enabled).

   

  Method 2: Check the hard disk for errors

  Please don t worry about the recovery procedure. It's very simple to do. Put the recovery CD in the CD/DVD drive, start Notepad and press C button and hold it for a few seconds. This will force your unit to boot from the CD/DVD drive.

  Follow the instructions on the screen. Standard mode will erase the whole HARD drive and create a partition. If you have only one partition I recommend to set up two of them. One will be used for the OS and application installations. The other can be used for the backup of data.

• HP PSC 1315 Officejet series: the officejet HP PSC 1315 software installation disc does not start

  I'm trying to install the software for a HP PSC 1315 all-in-one officejet on an XP pc. When I put the disc in the CD/DVD drive, that it will not start. When I click on SETUP. EXE it does not start. Tried the drive in another laptop (Win10) and office (Win10) and the drive would go. I put the diskettes for installation of two other programs in the XP and two ran. I downloaded the Setup file of the Support of HP and he wouldn't either. Anyone know what is happening here?

• Windows 7 / HP OfficeJet Pro 8600: Installation network without success

  OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

  Printer: HP OfficeJet Pro 8600

  My goal is to enable the "Scan to Computer" feature of my HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 on Windows 7, which does not find my computer when I try to use since the touchscreen front panel of the printer. The printer connected to my wifi LAN.

  In the Setup program on the CD, I chose to NOT to install any software apart from the "HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 software basic device", which installs fine. I also choose NOT to install the web services "ePrint" or him allow to connect to the network for updates or share of usage statistics, or none of it.

  During Setup, the network "Check" concludes correctly the printer on my local wifi network, but the 'Installing network printer' part next fails still, having for result "Network Installation fails", no other details. The result is the same if I try again with "Real-time Protection" of Microsoft Security Essentials offshore, or with the Windows Firewall off the coast. No other antivirus is running.

  The program "HP Scan" immediately fails with the message error "HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 is not found."

  Under control panel > "Devices and printers", I see a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600. Windows installs and print with that printer without the CD.

  Under control panel > "Device Manager", the printer is NOT listed under "imaging devices".

  My Acquisition of Image Windows (WIA) service is running.

  Clues?

  You try to scan from the PC using the scanner or scan from the printer to the computer?

  If it's the latter, then the "Scan to Computer" function must be enabled via software of the printer installed on your PC. Then you should be able to scan directly from your printer.

  New installation

  No other downloads installed except for a print to the Xerox 6140n printer driver

  Nothing in the machine you but essential

  No anti-virus

  Machine:

  SE7525GP2 Intel dual Xeon

  8 GB memory

  After, installation tried to run Windows Update, Windows update starts says "search for updates" and never does anything else. No activity of the CPU, no disk, no activity of network activity. Have connectivity to the internet network.

  Download the tool to "Fix - It" mentioned in KB971058, ran, tried running Windows Update, same result. Fix - It's once again, reboot, tried Windows Update again, same as above, nothing.

  So, any thoughts?

  12 hours should be the minimum for a list of the updates that are available for Windows 7 as they are on the lower priority for microsoft.
