Web App API and front pages

Greetings to the community.

Will be added to the ability to interact with the front-end web app API pages?

To be fair, I will be able to use the API to create features for visitors to my site, not only managers of it?

And when, if so?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Please ask if my question is not clear, I will try to clarify.

Hello

For now API is not available for use at the front end, but we are really interested to learn more on how you plan to use those we have in terms of something that you could use.

  • Web app api

    Hello

I'm new to the part of the API. I thought that the new API has offered the ability to access data from the BC modules as part of web application, but it seems that the API is intended for use in the back office (app in the admin interface).

Is it possible to access the data of web apps from an external source (such as an Android app) native?

Is it possible to access data from other modules (like the blog) from this external source (using module_data?)?

Thanks in advance for any comments

    Not at the moment,

OATH is scheduled soon / near future to allow you to use the new APIs.

  • Web App registration process - release of press items by sub-category?

This is the process of Listing of Web application - Press Articles by subcategory:

    1. click on the menu "category" list on the Home Page

2 computers and their devices Category page with subcategory displayed in the inner column using the drop-down list:

drop-down list work better for mobile devices, specifically phones.

    Hello

If you use liquid you should really use the named modules now, not tags inherited old module.

You can just style differently or simply to convert a list into a drop down list with javascript and CSS 100% better then even a drop-down list, thinking it's a menu.

  • How can you restore a list template Web App

Hi, I made a few changes to one of my models web apps list and he it messed all that. I want to just go back to the previous version. Is it possible to ? Help, please. Thank you

    Hi Brett,

Only the pages and templates have a restore capability. Layouts of web app don't unfortunately. The best practice is to save the layout before you start working on it. I have the file in a backup FTP location is usually or simply copy and paste in a text editor.

  • Is there a way to multiple selection data source in a Web App?

I created two Web Apps. I'm trying to multiple selection of one of the lists.

The idea is - I have a list of manufacturers and a list of distributors, a few hundred in each list. I would like to be able to set up a select field type 'data source' Web App Distributor and for that to be a function of multiple selection.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Web apps are only a 1 to 1 relationship, BC at this time doesn't support 1 to many, or many-to-many on web applications. If you can't sorry.

  • Submitted clients Web App with profiles of customers with categories

How would everyone on the creation of a Web site where customers could submit web app where the customers have a public profile that shows all of their memories, web app?

My first thought would be to create web applications 2: a customer introduced web app points and the second for customers to create their own profile. The trick would be limiting only the profile web app for communication by the customer and list all their bids to point web app in their profile. For the client the web profile app it's because (as I'm sure most of you know) that the CRM information is not visible publicly.

It seems that the only way to do it is to create a category for every single customer and then assign the category to each individual web app submitted by the client. It seems that there is a lot of work of the Chief Executive and perhaps some confusion.

Is there a way to capture client web app profile ID and possibly use the item form in a hidden field on the present client web app to enable them to classify it themselves? I think the best way would be for them to do, but without being able to classify their submission under another customer accidentally.

Is there a best way anyone has found to do this?

Actually, on second look this Kiyuco.com tutorial only covers that allow members to change their elements of web application in a secure area, not not to view them as part of a public profile.  You should find what you are after in this forum thread I posted - Nicole de BCGurus described a good solution.

  • Disable / delete web app autoresponder

    Hi guys,.

If someone managed to disable / remove the autoresponder web app after putting in place?

Adding content to the autoresponder list and save it, nothing is sent to the user after the submission or editing an item web app, but as soon as you save the autoresponder with content it starts it sends to you.

The usual method for the removal of answering machines, automatic - "& amp; SAR = False' sub - form action string does not work for Web applications and this was confirmed in the forums previously by Mario (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4476060?tstart=0)

I tried to delete the contents of the list autoresponder in Web App settings and save vacuum for dream to the default functionality before it was created, but the administration console appears with a small flash error in the corner telling you:

'Automatic responder email cannot be empty. Please provide the content of the email to send to clients when they fill out this web form.'

If I leave the fields of the address, name and subject empty and just "nbsp;" in the HTML content control finds out, I get an empty e-mail from "Adobe Business Catalyst" sent when items are created or edited.

Has anyone had the same problem and found a solution for this?

It's a site online (not in development) and there are a number of layout templates web app implemented, several different modules in the entire site and a lot of scripts client side that work in tandum with the Web application to provide the customer with the required functionality, so rebuild the Web application from scratch and to ensure that the answering machine field is left blank isn't really possible - despite currently seem to be my only option.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Ricky

I had to plead with the support of the BC to extinguish the autoresponders for some of my WebApps - what they did afterwards - so it is possible for the management to do, but for some reason any, they are reluctant to do.

  • How to add 'next' and 'previous' buttons to scroll through the pages of detail point web app?

My client application buttons "previous" and "next" to go to the details page of an element of web application to the previous/next item details page in the same web application. What is the best way to implement that? I know that you can add paging to a list of items on a page web app, but, since you are already viewing the detail page generated by the web application, is it possible to create something similar to the order of the day? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

No, said Mihai is not out of the box solution, it is not too difficult, but you need a few basics of liquid and js.

Capture the URLS of all the webapp in a table then by locating the position of the current element in the table just navigate back or forward through it.

    Hello

You must define a site in Dreamweaver and need to set up your FTP server. One for that, you can connect with the FTP server where your FrontPage is loaded and you can get the copy of the said locally.

  • How to create a dynamic multilingual with liquid Web site and web apps

In the thread Re: liquid: what are the best practices suggested for several languages? that part of my problem is resolved.

I created a list web app that contains several fields from the data source.

These data source fields have multiple values where the customer has to choose the value of (i) there is. That is to say place: sea front area rural, etc., etc.

These values must be translated from English into Dutch.

So, how do I build my Web page with a liquid markup custom c.q. of entry?

    Thanks for any help.

    Kind regards

    Carla

    Hi Carla,.

You have many options at your disposal with the liquid, so with the datasource_id of the original web application, you can call another Web application referencing this ID to get the information you need and collect the data in a collection or display in a custom template (.tpl) file.

Here is an example. Inside of your application model web detail.html

With the help of a collection:

    {module_webapps id = "3rdPartyWebApp" filter = "item" itemId = '{{dataSourceID}}' collection 'webAppData' =' model = '}
    {{webAppData.items [0] .description}}

With the help of a model:
    {module_webapps id = "3rdPartyWebApp" filter = "item" itemId = "{{dataSourceID}}" template = "display_webapp_description.tpl"}

    ... display_webapp_description.tpl content:

    {{description}}

You should be good to go.

  • Editing Web App - demand payment? And limited to certain fields.

I have a web app created by my client. These are listed on the site and visitors to my client can 'book' an element. After an item is reserved for the customer completes the sale offline process to complete the sale.

Currently, this is done manually using a web forms with payment. When payment is received my client is going in and marked as reserved element of web application. I would like to automate this process...

To automate it, I think that I can add a field to the form of edition and once they make the payment, the item will be reserved. I have not actually tried to insert a form of payment in a publishing page layout. Which will work?

Assuming this works, I have another concern. Each Web app has fields 70 or so custom element. Many of these custom fields are for internal use and should not be available for the customer to see or change. If I have a change and the list only form fields I want the customer to be able to change it will erase the other fields. (I know I could hide the other fields in the edit form that the customer sees, but I prefer to keep completely hidden fields if possible).

This explains, someone has some ideas or ideas to manage such a situation?

    Thank you!

    Hello Lynda,

The webapp associated forms use a different .aspx treatment of active payment webforms, I fear that you will not be able to create a form of editing form to process payments online.

In Exchange, you can collect payments using a form enabled for the classic payment and using JS just after the form of payment, you can trigger the modification of webapp form is submitted.

There are some obvious drawbacks to this Setup, such as: you can't wait to see if the payment goes through trigger the webapp change form when the payment process is complete for example. Another disadvantage is that the process is not wise, that a visitor to the site can just trigger the webapp change form "manually" bulletproof security.

    I hope this helps.

  • Web App point record and present functions is possible?

I created a web application I want the user to be able to record without trigger a workflow, then go back and change the content and save again if necessary, then when all is complete submit so that it launches a workflow and web app submitted can be verified.

This should be used for a course so that assignments can be submitted online.

    Thanks for your help

    Eamon

To do this, is to use a form in line/update - details - form to collect and record data, they can continue to come back and update the form, you need SAR = false on the form action, if you want to stop the answering machine, and you can easily define the workflow against zero on the form itself with in the admin. The thing to note is that you must use system fields or extended CRM fields in the online form that you can not use form fields custom Web in a form of updating details. Also note that the person needs to be registered to do it all.

the next thing is to send them to the form of submission Web App (which should be a mirror of your previous form fields) preloads all fields with their customer data and data CRM extended, configure the fields to read only so they can not make changes, do as "final review" page, then all they need to do is to hit the submit button.

Hope this helps - Billy. P.S. Let me know if you need clarification or expansion on any of the points
