  There are two ways that you can do with a BlackBerry.

  (1) you can push an icon on the desktop of users using push of BES or the new WebSignals.  This method requires no code peripheral side, but it requires the code side Server integrated with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) or our WebSignals public service

• Java Web Start application runs under jre8u40 but not jre8u51

  We have a Java web application that uses javaws. It runs very well under the update of Java 8 40, but under the update Java 8 51 jp2launcher.exe stops right, without launching the application.

  Your question is a bit confusing, but here's a fundimental principle in Eclipse.

  Each project has;

  MyProject

  -bin

  -src

  -MyApplication.mxml

  -html-template

  -libs

  The 'src' folder contains all the classes of the executable/compilable code actionscript and mxml applications/components.

  The only thing that Flash Builder runs is a mxml file that subclasses s:Application or mx:Application or a subclass of them.

  Flash Builder will not work 'just' a mxml file. So if you get the sample applications from Adobe, you must have in the src folder and do a little green arrow in the upper left corner. This means that it is a registered application that you can run. The small blue dot at the top right corner means that it is the default application that runs when you hit ctr - F11 or F11 or Run...

  If you paste a file that IS an Application and cannot enforce, you;

  -Make sure that it is in your src folder

  -Click right one select run as

  -Select the Web Application

  It will run the app only to discover no compiler error. If the mxml file is not saved as an application, this action he also recorded.

I happens during a flash development background, and I have small flash files that are commonly used as 'part' of a whole web page.  For example, a section of small videos with a flash drive combo box to select the video to play; This swf file would be sized at 600px wide comments by 400px high. Then I just put it in a div tag and add it to my web page.  I'm doing it with flex, but I'm running into issues. It seems that the actual published swf wants to run 100% of the size of the browser window. I tried to adjust these dimensions; first try in flex to the < application > Accessories for height and width, but that has not been around. then tried to just use the file .swf published in the web page and set its properties for < object > to my height and width, which works 'almost' but always falls apart when video player full screen touch.

  So, is it possible to use a flex "app" as part of a web page, or was flex intended to operate on its own and 'no' in the context of a web page? Thanks in advance!

  You can certainly. I usually drop the Flash/Flex application in a div "mainContent" in my larger page structure, so my page should look like this:

  Note that I am only using the HTML approach, but the Javascript should work just as well. With the flash set to width = 100% and height = 100%, it will fill the enclosing div, but that's all. So, if you wanted to extend vertically but not horizontally, just set your CSS style to height: 100% and leave width px or em value. Note that the bounding div (that is if you had a wrapper around the NAVs and mainContent div) will also expand/collapse.

• Satellite U840W - clicking the icons/applications - nothing happens

  I have a Toshiba Satellite U840W-10J, have had for about 20 months without no problems so far. Without warning and apparently at random times, my laptop loses its ability to launch any application. If I select an application icon from the menu start/work station or to a file in a folder, nothing happens. Applications that are already open when the problem affects work very well, if I close them I can't reopen. My office then goes black and my desktop icons disappear, everything except the Recycle Bin.

  I can only restart the computer by pressing the power or by using CTRL + ALT + DELETE key. My laptop is restarted it will then work as usual for a period of time before the same thing happens again. I use Windows 8.1 and I have McAfee Internet Security installed. The problem started about 2 weeks ago.

  Any ideas or support would be much appreciated.

  According to your message the laptop together problems might arise due to some malfunction of the system/software... I think that no one will be able to tell what is the problem with preinstalled system, but you can try to solve the problem of cleaning the registry and operating system.
