  If you have an 'Old Firefox Data' folder on your desktop, then you must have used the function "Reset Firefox", or help-> troubleshooting information page, as shown in the screenshot in this article, or in Firefox Safe Mode window, illustrated here.

  You don't need the "Old Firefox Data" folder, but you can move it to another location on your computer as a backup, if you wish. It is unlikely that you have set this folder as your current residence of profile. To find out which folder Firefox is currently using for the data in your profile, visit using Firefox-> troubleshooting information and click the Show folder. This will open the profile folder of Firefox under Windows. On Windows 7, the default Firefox profile folder would be located here (where "username" is your Windows logon user name and xxxxxxxx is a random string))

  Thank you for your resjponse.  Sorry about the omission of browser.  I use IE 8.  I don't know about the sequence of import and export.  I need to know, what I can erase the bookmark.htm file before I import without which performs the import just puts a second series of folders on the laptop...

  Don. I guess that I'm missing something here because I do not understand what it is you are trying to say.

  First of all, let's say that computer 1 to the desired favorites. Computer 2 is where you add the Favorites. Go to the computer 1 and save (export) your Favorites. Go to computer 2. Remove all Favorites (C:\Users\Owner\Favorites.. Please be advised that your path may vary). Now on computer 2, click on the ' import '. Navigate to the file htm to computer 1. Your Favorites from computer 1 are now in place.

  I guess the box to "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is grayed out, and that's why you can not check it out.  Is this correct?  Is this true for the two files that were created in OpenOffice files AND that were created in Microsoft Word (note that created is the same that that edited not)?

  In OpenOffice, make sure that the "automatic file name extension" option is enabled in the file "Save as" dialog box.

I have a very basic net accountant I learn on before I screw up a portable more expensive and I do a cleaning on my C and D drives to improve performance because it runs so slow but it tells me I have the drivers who slow down Windows.   Drivers: you should know what you bought (in your machine) and what * you * want out of it.  If you want stability and things work properly - let alone the drivers.  If you want more performance check (and other games) in the drivers of motherboard chipset and video network from the manufacturers Web site... For more stability stick with the OEM website (HP, Dell, Lenovo - the assembler of the whole machine) and slightly more performance/push the limits (even if they want to work too - so still some stability) - access to websites of its components manufacturer.

  With regard to the programs: you can decide what you use and do not use.  If you are not sure, look it up (Google) or ask.

  I was expecting FF home to synchronize bookmarks on ipad Safari with those on the desktop. Apparently not so much.

  Yep, it's a one-way synchronization, server sync then for Firefox Home Office. Don't Synchronize FirefoxHome on the synchronization server.

  Have you checked the manual of the Satellite P10?
  Sometimes, compatible CD/DVD players are in the user manual that must be installed on your laptop.
  If you n t have the user manual, then you can download from the Toshiba page.

  However, if you don't get the right info in the user's manual then I would recommend contacting the ASP in your country for details.
  Usually, you can order a player taken in charge of these guys here.

  It is important that you know which drives are compatible because of the different master\slave\c-salt settings.
