  I don't know what is the depth in the game, you are or what should be your ultimate goal.  However, if your PC has the A8-3800 basis then the A8-3850 is about 20% faster.  I don't know what is the speed DIMM modules in your PC, but a pair of DIMMs to 4 GB 1866 mhz would be an additional boost.  Your PC probably has the DIMM 1333 mhz.

  The 7850 Radeon isn't the only video card on the market.  Do a little measuring inside your PC and tell us what is the maximum length of a video card that fits.

  I'm building a new PC which runs to Win 7 Ultimate 64 - bit. The building will have new drives (2 SSD drives for the OS/applications, work space and a HARD drive of 2 TB for storing RAW/TIFF - backup will be an external 2 TB HDD).

  Because this will be a completely new installation and not an update, do I need to contact Adobe to get installed LR in advance? I have all the old configuration files for versions 1, 2 and 3, as well as my original buy e-mails received and activation numbers.

  Just download a copy of LR 3.2 and install it. Use your serial number, LR will also ask you for your serial number for LR 2 If you made an upgrade. There is no activation for LR and you are licensed in two separate facilities. No need to contact Adobe... Each new version of LR, including releases of dowry is a complete application in itself, and older versions are not necessary.
