What does MPX stand for?

Looking at the devices section under storage of an ESX Server in the vSphere client, there is a column called identifier.

The purpose of this article is to allow you to see the unique identifier for the LUN or storage devices that can see your ESX host.

There are 3 types of possible designations in this column - id = identifier of network address authority naa

-Id = T10 T10 is a Sub-Committee of the Committee of INCITIS

-mpx =?

When a connected to an ESX Server storage device does not generate an id of the naa or a T10, the ESX host generates an mpx id to identify the storage device. My question is what does MPX stand for?

Thank you

Andrew

For those devices that do not have a unique ID, you can observe a MPX reference (which is basically means VMware Multipath X device).

    Any idea? Thank you!

    Hello

I assume you read messages provided by POST (Power On Self Test)
Here you can see different messages.

    As far as I know by pressing F12 at the beginning of the startup procedure will allow the boot menu. You can choose between different and devices boot boot options;

So Don t worry, there s nothing unusual.
    I think that it should be possible to disable in the BIOS;
Check the boot settings Configuration option / Quiet Boot-> disabled or something like that.
Don't remember exactly how the option is called.

  • What .idrc the stand for?

    Hello world

Can someone tell me what the of .idrc represent

    What is format that is?

    Thank you

    Respect of

    Teetan

It's probably the short resource compiler for InDesign.

There is no single .idrc it's a bunch of binary formats, determined from the folder that contains the file.

All the nested folder resources folder is a replacement for the domestic resources of a single file for MacOS Classic, each folder of idrc_XXXX represents a type, each numbered file represents a resource.

Some files like idrc_PNGA are just binary of copies. PNG.

Most of the other files are generated by the ODFRC resource compiler, whose ancestors are compiler MPW ground of Apple, then the Apple + IBM being resource compiler. Most of idrc_ formats are described by matching sources in the files of the plugin SDK '.fh', and the routines responsible for C++ use streams to load this binary format.

For example a selected plugin randomly contains these resources:

idrc_CLST - class array that describes the C++ object model

idrc_FACT - factory implementation classes referenced by table class

    idrc_LOCR - index of location

    idrc_PMST - localized strings

idrc_PVER - version plugin general information

idrc_VIEW - seen persistent (dialogues, panels or other stuff)

  • What does the acronym to PO1.

I'm working on an old computer and I wanted to upgrade the processor.  It is a processor Intel Pentium 4 1.6 GH.

As I was looking at a graph D845PT Intel motherboard and CPU-Upgrade for there are four columns.  The first column was "Characteristic", the second column was BIOS, the other two I'm not concerned about this issue.

Under BIOS it lists for different PO processors with a number that follows.  What does IN. stand for and how is that is related to the upgrade of a processor.  I use for my information, CPU - Z and CPU and motherboard, there is no PO number.

The reason that I ask is that the different processors has a purchase order number and then says more.  Hope it makes sense.  Thank you

    Hello

It is deepening and the version of the BIOS must be able to support the strengthening of the selected
    processor (at least as high).

Frankly this mother/processor board is not worth the upgrade as it is old enough at the time machine.

  • What does HSP in HSP_Rates for?

    Hello

Well, I have a simple question for which I am curious about the answer. What does the acronym for HSP in HSP_Rates? What is the full form of the HSP?
Please, someone who has an idea let me know about it.

    Thank you.
    ~ Hervé

All tables in the relational database that are related to planning starts with the prefix HSP, according to my assumption that Hyperion Solution was the name of the company before the acquisition of Oracle Hyperion then HS might looks like the Hyperion Solution and 'P' is an indication for planning of related things. :)

No wonder that always we ARBOR way for Essbase, Hyperion Solutions resulting from the merger of Hyperion Software (formerly RMI) and Arbor Software in 1998.

Others might have some interesting answers ;)

  • What does "JEPP' PeopleCode errors

What does the acronym for JEPP? I see this in all PeopleCode errors, I've met. I found the article and the statement but could not find the JEPP

    pcode.jpg

I think it stands for "PeopleCode program counter."  Certainly that this error occurred in COBOL, if the translation is not literal.

JEPP references are very useful to determine if multiple instances of an error has occurred in the same place, but also not very useful as a diagnostic tool...

  • What does the acronym "OAM" stand for?

It may seem a trivial question, but as a trainer, my goal is to make things less complicated or at least more understandable for the participants of my career. Describing the oam file in Adobe Edge animate is one of those areas where students get lost. Why is it called a "animate the Deployment Package" on board animate, "Edge animate Composition" in Dreamweaver and a 'Widget Animated file' , then the extension is "OAM", and what does the abbreviation the abbreviation for really? Regular use of a format file name and logical extension would help users understand it better.

What does it mean to select 'request to activate' for Add-ons?
It makes it safer, for example when using flash player?
Or, when this option would be desirable?
And I read this advice: "uninstall all versions of Java completely and see if you can manage without it. Otherwise, you can always install the latest version, when you need it. »
So I was wondering - uninstall it would be safer just to assign to, "ask to activate" and (I guess?) that he ask me any time, she wants to exploit (and therefore to put my system in peril?)?
    Thanks for the tips!

Request to activate is whenever Firefox ask your permission to run this plugin to make it safer.

Always activate = a time what you choose this option, the plugin works automatically whenever it needs

Never activate the plugin = never executed, until you change the option to "Ask to activate or always»
