What is audible feedback of voice recognition?

Windows speech recognition, there is an option to "beep". What does this do?

The help file to the search only returns information on windows media player.
Google search only returns information that "beep" is an option - but nothing of what he does.
Maybe I should turn this option off?
Thanks for any help,
Dave

Did you mean emit audible in the Options when you right click the microphone in the speech bar icon? According to me, the sound signal refers to sound system as the ding, etc. on the issue of navigation controls.

    Hi johnd9913,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

Have you checked if the correct settings have been selected for the microphone in the computer?

Try to access to Control Panel > Sound > Audio. Check the Recording tab if Microphone is enabled and work. Click Configure , and then once see you the working driver (i.e., reacts to your voice), right click above and as the default value.

Later try to put in place the voice recognition program under all programs > Accessories > accessibility > Windows speech recognition and try the different microphone settings until the edge, we respond to your voice.

  • What happens really when the voice to text is slow to respond?

I feel that, in my opinion, we all experience a large part of the time: you're in Messages or Mail app and you tap the microphone icon to dictate text into a text message or email.  But you start talking your just text appears on the screen as he usually does. You try to speak slowly, but still nothing shows up.  Sometimes it's enough to tap on DONE and then sometimes if you wait 10 seconds or more, then all your spoken text could spills onto the screen.

But sometimes not.  Sometimes things seem to just having plugged between you and the server (is that the same server where Siri is converted?) and all that you talked about everything is lost.

I know that if I wait 5 or 10 or 30 minutes, finally what was butcher the son or the network will clear and I can dictate new text.

But I've always been curious: when he's stuck up like this and your intervention does not immediately display on your screen when you speak or does not flow even out after you typed DONE, what actually happens?  This is likely to get stuck? Is it just that too many people do so at that time, or something else?  And I thought that IOS, 7 or 8 voice-text is processed locally rather than on the Apple servers?  Or is it just Siri?  I actually invokes Siri when I do this?  All thought help it would be appreciated through.

You are right about many testimonies

  • What about force feedback with X 360 wheel on PC?

I was told a while back that Microsoft was working to include force feedback support in the wheel of the Xbox 360 when it is plugged into the PC running Windows Vista.

Elapsed time and it still doesn't. Are there opportunities for a driver update that include this feature?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jackalito,

Thank you for using answers Forum.

I'm not aware of an update of Microsoft driver for driving force feedback wheel 360 that will allow the function you describe.

Please let us know how it works.

  • "' Error of speech recognition: voice recognition couldn't start because the language configuration is not supported.

    OP: Windows speech recognition

Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 with Windows 7. I just put in place the Windows speech recognition and finished the installation and the tutorial. I went to use and it says:

    Speech recognition error

Speech recognition could not start because the configuration of the language is not supported.

The recognizer language must match the language of the user interface. Please change the recognizer language in the speech recognition under Advanced options control panel.

I don't know what that means, I tried changing the settings under:

Control Panel > accessibility > speech recognition > speech Advanced Options

    But nothing seems to work.

    Help!

    Hello

Saw this in another forum and it WORKS!

    Hello

I had the same problem. Strangely, I had other symptoms. I use the Turkish keyboard Q primary and English as secondary United States. As my speech recognition broke down, I saw that my office word and outlook mulfunctioned in what concerns the language of the keyboard. I was able to use the Turkish Q keyboard on any application, but when I open outlook or word, changes in the English language.

It happened on xp for... so I turned on the language bar to assign the TR when I am using these applications. But the language bar never himself displayed on the bar of tasks or office. So I get this problem and I saw that you can solve this problem via regedit.

    go to computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

right click on the right and a new "string value" component name value can be by default, the value data must be set to "ctfmon" = "" CTFMON. "." EXE ".

After that I restarted my machine and the language bar came to the taskbar. I went into applications and changing the language to TR. And there was a surprise for me. Speech recognition long gone was back at the top of the screen. (I tried everything that proposed that nothing worked)

I'm not sure but maybe the difference in language between applications caused my problem. Or maybe ctfmon has caused. Try this one.

I hope that this is the case for you and you can fix it too...

  • MIC not working not not with voice recognition or Siri in texting

iPhone 6 - 9.2.1 firmware - the mic input does not provide a valid signal to Siri, or dictation in the Messages. It * is * work very well for the new application of musical note, which would indicate that the equipment is not broken.

In Siri or Messages, the erratic noise signal indicator shows, while in fact, there is no entry and do not change or respond when it * is * talk.

It still does not. Reset all settings, change 9.3.1 update... No..  Microphone only works in the voice and music notes. Does not work in the Siri, Messages or Google.  One thing to note is that it works with the Apple ear buds mic.   You would think that there must be a problem with the hardware with the microphone, but the microphone * fact * works in voice memos or notes of music... so that the theory does not take place.

  • How can I uninstall the voice recognition software

Speech recognition program is the source of the problems.  I would like to uninstall it.  Could you help me with this?

    Hello

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Answers.

You will not be able to uninstall the computer speech recognition, you can turn off only to start automatically on the computer. You can start it manually from the control panel.

    Steps to disable startup
Go to the speech recognition Options. Click on Advanced Options speech on the left side of the window.
Uncheck 'run speech recognition at startup '.

Next time, every time that you restart the computer speech recognition will not start.

  • WHO has deployed multilingual and what kind of feedback have you heard of users?

We have deployed Chinese and we met a few minor problems have been elements has not translated that Oracle has fixed.

    However, the biggest concerns were:

1 EQ allows translations to be sent within an EQ. users must send multiple EQ for each language.

2 ingredient statements did not have the globe for Multilingual translations. Users had to log in with each language and save the ingredient statement. They were not aware of this until we foound try it because it didn't work like the rest of the fields translation.

    3. work statement - had a globe but was not searchable

I just found "Combined Declaration" in the specifications of the product and it is not searchable.

6.1.x it is considered to be a customization because you must change the configuration files encrypted, but it is possible and quite fast.

Take a look at which matches the searchable property of name ID Spec?.

Notice: You must apply the configuration of supported files.

  • How can I get speech recognition to work with text to train my voice, the way which the tutorial done?

The tutorial of speech recognition to train my voice is not large enough for the engine get good recognition of my voice. I want to put in place a couple random pages of text (like a novel, etc.), and that I dictate the words in the program he would coordinate the words I read with the text I was reading from and type what I read to show how he got trained.

Here is the translation of the above using the voice recognition program.

If this tutorial from speech recognition to train my voice is not a large enough for the motor get a good and recognition of my voice.  I want to put in place a couple random pages of text (like a novel) which does not run and I dictate the words in the program that he would coordinate the words I read the text I was reading types of what I read, that the show has done which forms

The foregoing would take a lot of editing, which I already did a large part of. Also if you change the type of microphone that you are using, you could start any training.

I'd be cool if (with headphones), you might get feedback that the program thought you said so that you wouldn't be constantly replay to see if it came out correctly.
