What is dell edoc viewer?

When starting laptop, I get the following message, there was a problem starting c:\users\username\AppData\Diagnostics\Dell Edoc Viewer\aepfemds.dll the specified module could not be found.

The laptop remained, I downloaded mcafee and ran scan, it finds a couple of Trojans and corrected.  Since then, this message keeps popping up.  Any ideas?

Do you need, I don't know, it's a Q for the Dell forums, I think its something to do with the Dell diagnostics.

And a Dell laptop's are delivered with a preinstalled anti-virus program.

What is a second system of the user? You have the Dell recovery discs?

    I'm a little confused, what are these packages from DELL:

  • 6310 office all --one installs: Visual C++ run error

    Hi all:

    I just bought a new computer (Dell XPS 720), with Professional Windows 64 - Bit SP1, and I get an error when trying to install the OfficeJet 6310 All in one software (drivers and software for scanning, etc...).

    On the HP site, I found the OfficeJet 6310 all in one software, selected Windows 64-bit version and downloaded.

    When I try to install, I get:

    Things I've tried so far:

    1 remove all the Appdata\local\temp installation folder

    2. in the setup.exe from the installation in App\data\local\temp folder, right click on the exe files and select "Run as Administrator"

    3 made a full chkdsk on C:\ (control of start time). No errors where found.

    4 downloaded the tool HP Assistant, let it detect the 6310 printer (who does) and let it download the software... same error in installation.

    Am I missing an older Visual C++ library? Or .net Framework?

    Please tell me if you are able to access 'initial view' tab in the properties of the document using Acrobat.

    You can change the initial view settings in Acrobat and you can view a PDF in Reader with the same initial point of view as established.

  • Clean install of Windows 7: where to find the Dell Foundation Services?

    I'm doing a clean reinstall of Windows 7 on my new XPS-8700.  I downloaded the drivers and the software that is listed for my service on the Dell drivers & download site tag.

    But there are a few "Dell" items listed in my Start Menu > programs that I have not found on the Dell website.  I'm not sure of their purpose, my need for them, where to find download or how to reinstall them after my new installation of windows.

  • Blue screen of death on a Dell computer

    I have a Dell Inspiron computer using Windows 7 Ultimate.

    I have recurring problems with the black screen of death

    At the start, then I get the beeps indicating a video problem

    I tried the following

    Start - D to test LCD

    F8 - Startup Repair

    Restore the previous good

    I tried Microsoft Fixit

    Installed the AMD updates for new drivers

    But the computer still goes to black screen after a period of time, and when the blue screen of death it appears always points to the driver

    Then I installed Windows 7 Ultimate still and load all the drivers in a sequence from the Dell

    Everything is good

    Started to install Windows 7 SP1

    Crashed again at the black screen

    What is your Dell's Service tag number?

    If the motherboard passes the Self Test (POST) usually, you will hear a short beep.

    You say that you get beeps indicating a video problem (is this 6 beeps or something else?).

    There is no amount of software you can download, install, reinstall will fix a hardware problem - unless you call Geek Squad and they will tell you that your 6 beeps means your system probably has a virus.

    If your system is a portable computer, it may not be much hope for it except to take it to a store where they might have some ideas.

    If the system is a desktop using a discrete video card you may reinsert the card into the slot or use a different location (power off and unplugged of course).  It could be that the card is defective.

    Now, I've read that you have a laptop with external monitor so if you unplug the external monitor to the laptop you still have a problem of material indicated by beep codes?

    If your system boots it so that we can see what you have:

    Click on the button/ORB start in the lower left corner of your screen. Or, press the button of your keyboard Windows logo.

    In the type box:

    Msinfo32

    Select / click msinfo32.exe and the system information dialog box opens.

    Click System summary, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

    For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) feedback here.

    There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

    Using the key "fn + up to" or "fn + down" iniates UI brightness, as usual, but no change in brightness and no change in the level indicator user interface. Just stay in the same place.

    In addition, none of the windows 7 (64-bit) brightness settings or adjustments sliders effect is the brightness. Simply drag the sliders without effect.

    I've recently updated to the latest driver whql certified nvidia verde on the two (ver295) and the stability of the Optimus was average, much, much better. Dare I say that it does not work as expected.

    I tried one of the system management of the dell m6600 updated for the pack of development of features of dell (which is supposed to be the new management system) and always exactly the same, except the user interface has been redesigned and resemble a world of 1990s regretable of UI design.

    No matter what tech savvy people out there want to take a crack at fixing this. There is no any what error reports related to this in my event viewer I know, but I'm new in the world to break the feet.

    Following my above original message: problem solved! (for now)

    I had also recently installed the latest Intel graphics driver from the Intel website (version 8.15.10.2509) to address the issues of Optimus, I got with my system. I came across this thread:

    .. .and someone had mentioned that when they had installed intel provided drivers, they had a similar problem with the brightness fn key does not.

    So I re-installed the latest Dell provided the version of the graphics driver Intel (r307994, version 8.15.10.2418). The installer told my that I was installing an older version of the driver, but I decided to do it anyway.

    The key fn brightness key is new Bebee! OK, so now that I got a satisfaction, does anyone have a hypothesis as to why this would happen? What is Dell? to the driver before they release it on their Web site also certify and wrap it up in their own setup package

    It boggles my mind...

    However, I have yet to know if Optimus is still stable after restoring back on the Intel graphics driver. I'm hoping that recently update driver Nvidia verde (295) was everything that I need all along...
