  We are looking in using the software OR go Exec to integrate with our switching matrix. This layer NOR seems to work well with TestStand and many apparent advantages. For our project, this includes not having to write several subsequences in: connect a DMM, read a DMM and tell DMM for hundreds of signals. It could do everything on one step of this exact, main - sequence? How to do that? We would like to know some of the disadvantages of this approach before we get too far down the road.

  This is why you don't have many opportunities to connect older devices to a laptop that was not equipped with the parallel or serial port.

  As far as I know, there are some USB-to-serial or USB port adapters / parallel.

  The drivers you need are determined by the hardware you have.  You need to know the brand and model in order to go to the manufacturer and download the drivers for this specific device.

  Some routers will define a limited number of simultaneous connections. Domestic routers rarely do because the assumption is that the environment will not include such a high number.

  Ideally in a commercial environment you would separate on the hardware connection since the hardware firewall. It depends on the type of connection (ADSL?).

  As far as I know it of possible to connect the laptop to the TV with an s-video cable.
  The dealer is right, but there are different s-video cables.

  You can use one with s-video on one end Jack and taken 3 RCA (2 audio and 1 video) on the other end of the cable. Or you use a SCART instead of the 3 Sockets.

  According to specification for laptop, your laptop has placed in the video output on the left side port port VGA 15 pins. Using this laptop port can send the video signal to external device. Please note that it is for the video signal only.

  'External' and 'SSD' could be a problem.  SSDS are different animals of disks spinny.  Some will say that you need not trim on SSD (TRIM is a management tool to move only the ' opportunity' bytes in a block when the block of data is moved), but definitely TRIM does not work on USB or Firewire.  Not sure if the TRIM works on Thunderbolt connected readers as it does on disks SATA-path, however.
