  • What is InDesign Quark Smart Fit equivalent?

Our paper use Quark for many years now in collaboration with Falcon editorial APT.

Recently, we moved to InDesign and cannot find any function which acts as did function of Smart Fit of Quark. Smart Fit automatically adjust the spacing of the text in a text box (without changing its size, etc.) in order to make the text line up flush with the bottom of the frame-of course essential when creating pages of newspaper where space cannot be dictated by the length of the text.

We can find no such function in InDesign. It would seem like content object/fitting/made to the framework would be the winner, right? InDesign doesn't allow us to select this option for a text box. Except that, the closest thing we have found is Auto-Size under text block Options, but which resizes the frame rather that adjust the text to fit, which is not an option.

Why content to adapt to the option not available for text block, and what is missing here?

Sounds like text block Options > vertical Justification > Justified.

  • What does #Invalid in Smart View

Some users get a result of #invalid in their Smart View queries. It seems to only show when there is no data (i.e. #missing), and we are curious to know why it displays not only as #missing. What are the parameters cause Smart View to classify something as missing vs invalid? We noticed a thing, it was that a query that displays #missing in some cells, turned to #invalid when an attribute is added to the query. My thought is that the result of #invalid means roughly "sorry, cannot calculate your attribute if there is no data, if your application is not valid. Is anyone know for sure?

Method 1 using Windows Defender will tell you more specific information about each program.

    ---------------------------------------------

It's a little more complicated that you might have a few running services that you can do without.
Be careful by disabling a service may impact the ability of other agencies to run and cause problems of
    on the road.

Also some programs add services that might not really need to start automatically. You can
often these type services put manual to reduce their impact on performance.

To see these compare these in Start - type in the search box-> find Services at top right click RUN AS ADMIN
to those of the default Vista as indicated here by BlackViper. Ignore and who are on the disabled (which do not run) or
Manual (which work only on request) - for any automatic or automatic delayed start you can post here if
you need help to decide if you should run. Some of these can be assigned to manual and stop so that the calling program can run them as needed.

BlackViper made also some improvements to default windows services but I wouldn't do those unless you
really understand the full meaning of change a default service. Then use it as a tool to compare.

Another thing that helps performance is updated drivers - Vista like the updated drivers.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Look at recommended objective Smart Move is more changing

I got my Apple Watch since April last year, and I liked how the goal of the smart initiative changes every week based on my performance.

However, since January 2016, perhaps even earlier, my watch stopped recommending new goals of the smart move. Now, after each weekly summary, no matter how many times or how I hit or missed the goal of around everyday, my watch recommends the same goal, as he did the previous week. It got to the point last week, I hit my goal on 0 days, and still my goal kept watch daily to move this week, the same as last week. Basically my move recommended goal has not changed all in 2016 despite my fluctuating goal hitting performance. This certainly wasn't the case when I bought my watch a year ago. It would change every week based on the question if I missed a few days, exceeded the goal of every day, etc.

I am aware that I can change the lens manually, but this lack of recommendations is pretty ridiculous for what we call a SMART goal move...

Does anyone else have this problem?

    Hello

    The following steps may help:

Close any open applications on your iPhone:

-Double-press the Home button, and then drag upward on each of the app previews to close.

Restart your iPhone and your watch:

-Turn on both devices off the power together first, and then restart your iPhone first.
