  To add to the candid feedback. In this forum, a script is usually a SQL * PLUS Script.

  Saying they generally need to be a calco block, so if you expect to find where a calc is to aggregate it won't tell you much.
  It should also beware if you are a large number of calculation blocks so that you can eventually see more info you need.

  If you look in the essbase application log, you can actually get an idea of which part of the script the calc is execution and time without the need for CDFs.
  Also if a script fails, then the application log is the place to go and check.

  I work on a drawing or model app with 50 + work plans. There are hundreds of cases of shadow throughout the document. It's bogged down my system and makes everything in very slow illustrator - which makes for a very frustrating workflow.

  In my dream world, there would be a script that was hiding all instances of an effect (in my case, the drop shadow). This would allow me to record quickly, copy/paste/move objects without a loading time of 2-3 minutes (or a complete crash!)

  My system is up to par, and everything else is super quick in illustrator. I know not a work around would be to rasterize the shadow so that is not constantly reposting, but I need to be able to change it and rasterize it win this ability.

  Any script out there?

  I don't think that a script would help a lot too. It should go through all the objects one by one to find examples of shadow. Then who would take you a few minutes as well.

  In your shoes, I would be rather experiment with graphic styles or layers. You can apply the shadow layer and put objects requiring a shadow on its own layer.

  I miss all my disks on TestVM03, I seems that the first VM sets the limit on how many records can be issued in the table... A dirty solution is to create a model on the first target VM disks, but it seems the wrong way to solve my problem.

  You're conclusion is correct, I'm afraid, the first line determines how many properties, you will see.

  Alternatively, you can sort the lines on the number of properties in descending order.

  In Safari, when I go on Safari / Extensions Safari in the menus, it drops me in the web page of the Safari Extensions Gallery where I can browse extensions.  However, I can't install anything because there is no links or buttons to do so.  Is at the top of the page say the Gallery of extensions designed for work on Safari 9.0.  What is Safari 10?

• Safari with significant energy on El Capitan

  I just did a thorough cleaning and a reinstallation of El Capital, yet Safari still uses an important energy. Here are the details:

  With a full battery after reinstalling, got about 13 hours of life expectancy while Safari has also been opened with a tab. Not even 30 minutes later, this substantially reduced to 7 and then 9, without me open more applications or tabs or install anything. I also disabled all plugins and have some extensions on Safari, but in the battery menu, it says that Safari uses significant energy. There was no change of brightness of the screen etc - in fact I have actually reduced it yet. Initially, I put iCloud to synchronize certain things, including Safari, but since then, I have disabled the synchronization without change. In addition, it is a battery completely NEW, I just reinstalled from Apple, so I would keep it going as long as I can. I have attached a picture of the activity monitor because it shows nothing unusually high in there. Please help me understand what in Safari is the cause of significant consumption.

  

  

  Energy consumption depends on the activity open in Safari, a single Web site consumes more energy than the other. You should avoid using plugins if you want to extend your battery life. Battery remaining calculated time is just an indication based on current electricity demand.

• Help creating a script to delete users specific bunch of disconnection

  Hi guys

  I was wondering if you could help me out, I read in the creation of a script that deletes a bunch of disconnected users.

  I find stuff a lot saying that connection/disconnection hooks are now obsolete but they are still functional in El Cap.

  However my question is in what regards the script itself. I was going to create a shell script logout following the advice on this page http://www.amsys.co.uk/2015/02/delete-keychains-logout/?nabe=5737850786545664:0 but I want to make is specific to a single user, I don't want bunch of our normal users to be affected. This script would be attached to our account by Freelance. It would save me time to clear up after that freelancers have used our kit.

  Any advice/help would be very appreciated

• Safari 9.1.1

  When I updated El Capitan 10.11.5, it also updated Safari to 9.1.1.  I used to be able to access my bank account with Safari, but now it says I need an update for my browser, what is Safari. I am able to access with Chrome, but I can't imagine what happened with Safari.  I tried another computer from a friend who has El Capitan 10.11.4 with Safari 9.1 and I can access my bank account. What is the problem with the 10.11.5 version?

  Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  Isolate a problem by using a different user account

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.
