• What is the Unity Web Player?

  I use a Dell laptop with Win 7 SP1.

  I noticed something called 'Unity Web Player' in the CTL PANEL > PROGRAMS & FEATURES.  I was able to find such a thing in C: / under APP DATA (hidden) > LOCALLOW > UNITY.  As I pointed out, I couldn't find the program when I changed the folder options to show hidden files.

  According to the website (http://unity3d.com/webplayer/), it allows my computer play 3D on the web content.

  Frankly, I don't know if I need it... or if it's just "junkware" that was preinstalled by Dell, when I came to the computer.

  Anyone know what is this thing?  And, if it can be safely uninstalled?

When the program opens and tries to load Authorware, it will receive the same message "load error".

  Modify the appropriate registry entry that indicates the web reader where

• Authorware Web Player: Place orders / moving files

  From an Authorware Web Player 7 (aam) file, I download the templates from Microsoft. I know that by using a 'get '. and "put." Gets the file in the installed folder, then puts / move to the Authorware Web Player file, specifically: C:\Documents and Settings\nom_utilisateur\Application Data\Macromedia\Authorware Web Player\NP32ASW\webplr08. My goal is to move these files in the folder Templates from Microsoft: C:\Documents and Settings\utilisateur\Application data\microsoft\modeles. I usually put with two... (periods) and the file moved up one folder, so I assumed set to 5... (periods) it move up to 4 levels, and then I could use the "put... \Microsoft\Templates" as the final index. It doesn't work that way, so I'm stuck.

  I get this result too. I remember vaguely a feature of the character that prevents him from going outside the folder of the player. If CopyFile work you can copy the template after you download to the local folder. You may also be able to use the template in the location specified in your files. • I can't get Macromedia Authorware Web Player to work.

  Running Vista on a 64-bit Windows computer. I can't get Macromedia Authorware Web Player to work. When I download the program I've ever seen the "film playing below. I see only a bar saying "loading files" when I try to open a file in Authorware.

  If you are using IE7 or IE8 and Vista then try to add adobe.com to the trusted sites list. This will make the site open to disable protected mode. You can delete the site from the list of trusted sites once you're done, if you wish. It should not affect other content that you are running.

  It malicious actors area out there who take the Flash Player installer legitimate and pack it with malware, or simply to accommodate a virus/malware/etc to install/update and call Flash Player or some other permutation of this.  When people perform an Internet search these sites to install Flash Player, as well as of adobe.com are returned in the search results.  The people knowingly or not, go to the non-adobe.com site a download an installer of Flash Player potentially malicious or false who infects his system or click on a notification to update Flash Player fake/malicious window (see this article for an example: https://isc.sans.edu/forums/diary/Fake+Adobe+Flash+Update+OS+X+Malware/20693/).  Many of these false installers have been stigmatized for alike to official and legitimate Flash Player installer.  If you think that you may have used a fake installer of Flash Player install Flash Player, private message me the link to the site where you downloaded the installer from.  Adobe will actively after these malicious actors to remove fake/malicious installers.

  If you need to update Flash Player (latest version is 21.0.0.213) go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer to download the installation program.  Alternatively, you can opt in the background updates and Flash Player automatically downloads and installs an update within 24 hours of the update is available.  Updates to opt in the background follow these steps:

  • If Flash Player is already installed, launch system preferences > Flash Player > tab updated
    • Select "allow Adobe to install updates automatically (recommended)
  • If Flash Player is not installed, go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer and download the installer
