What is the privilege to see the definition of a view or SQL view

Hi DBAs,

I gave the user to select all points of view (only read access) with the following query.

Select ' grant select on ' | OWNER | '.' || view_name | « à » || '< USER name >;' from dba_views;

Now the problem is the user after connection to the DB via SQL Developer fails to see the definition of the view tab option to SQL.

Any help so that I can give the necessary privilege the user?

I gave "grant select_catalog_role username" and it worked fine. are there problems with the security concerns of DBA?

    What is the definition of inactivity in the power settings? Lack of information provided by a user or a process does not? If a computer runs a scan of disks and a user does not input is an active computer or not?

    Hello

    Idle refers to the question of whether or not a device is used. This could be due to a lack of user input. For example, if the user is running a disk check, the disc is in use and is not idle. If the computer has been idle and the hard drive was not used, then the idle development would come into force.

  • What are the definitions of colors that are triangles of histogram in Lightroom?

    What are the definitions of colors that are triangles of histogram in Lightroom?

    I just got working with the histogram in Lightroom.
    I understand the basic principles and how to apply the settings to eliminate the white triangle and get it to gray when the triangle lights up.

    I notice that the Triangle will both light up in different colors such as:
    Yellow, white, red.
    What do the colours mean?
    Finally, I get to have the gray triangle Tower.
    However: I do the right setting to get to the gray color where one white color other then lights?

    In other words:
    If I change the whites/highlights is that the correct change or should it be exhibition based on a color then other white indicating in the triangle.

    I hope I explained my question properly, ask any follow-up questions if I failed to make the case for the question.
    Thank you

    Greg

    Triangles indicate that one or more channel was cut in the shade (left) or (right) highlights.

    When a channel has been cut, there is no color of this channel - i.e. the value is 0 or 255.

    Edit: Lightroom uses % instead of levels for color values, so are the number 0 or 100%

    red = red channel cut

    Green = green channel cut

    Blue = Blue channel cut

    cyan = green, and blue channels cut

    Magenta = red and blue channels cut

    yellow = the red and green channels cuts

    Gray = all clipped channels

    dark gray only = no Cup channel

    Unless you are working with images for scientific use, I had put the dark and light tones for the most part looking at the picture itself, rather than using the histogram. The histogram tells you a lot about the image in the blink of an eye, but there is no such thing as a histogram "perfect."

    What I usually do is hold the ALT key while dragging the cursor highlights and blacks, which show the cutting in the image itself. I'd rather not have reflections clipped (except for specular highlights) and usually have a little black clipping som real black in the picture.

    How the shadows and highlights of an image depend a lot on the nature of the image and your personal preferences.

    Some images look better without blacks or whites, like the one below.

    Hello Deepak,

    You mean apart using a smaller font size or a larger screen?
    You can think to combine / wrapping columns (so more data in a column).
    Or hide some less important data and show only on request.

  • What is the best way to optimize a SQL query: call a function or doing a join?

    Hi, I want to know what is the best way to optimize a SQL query, call a function inside the SELECT statement, or make a simple join?

    It depends on.  Could be a.  Could be the other.  Could be no difference.  You would need to compare with your tables in your environment with your settings.

    If you put a gun to my head, I was given no other information and required that I answered the question, I would tend to wait that the join would be more effective.  In general, if you can do something in pure SQL, it will be more effective than if you call PL/SQL.

    First 13 items on what operating system? You have 13 to 13.1 updates, using Help Menu/updates to date of an open project?

    Your question immediately... assuming you have a NTSC installation...

    1. What are the dimensions in pixels of your JPEG files, and how many of them are there? Depending on the resources of the computer, how many JPEG files, and what pixel dimensions, try to use 1920 x 1080 format JPEG and the project preset elements 13/13.1 first is NTSC, DSLR, 1080 p, DSLR 1080 p 30.

    2. what type of player is has your HD TV?

    (a) if only one DVD, then your destination drive is drive DVD/record/Publish + share with preset = NTSC_Widescreen_Dolby DVD. Video set for display at 872 x 480 after encoding.

    (b) if player Blu - ray, then the publish + share/disc/AVCHD (which are a DVD disc)... can be 1920 x 1080 @ 23,94 progressive frames per second (H.264 1 920 x 1080 NTSC Dolby)

    (c) if the Blu - ray player, then publish + share/Disc/Blu-ray disc... can be 1920 x 1080 @ 23,94 progressive frames per second (H.264, 1920 x 1080 p NTSC Dolby).

    I assumed you wanted a product of disc? If your HD TV player takes support other media of the video file, what are the formats on which media supports?

    With this information, I will propose Publish + share/computer/specificities for export to files.

    Please review, study and give more details.

  • What is the correct syntax for function in SQL expressions filters?

    Hello

    I want to build a report that looks at the last dates 4 snapshot.
    I got every snapshot using this filter date

    Snapshot Date. "' Snapshot date" = TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_WEEK-10, TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_DAY, (7 - dayofweek (current_date) + 2), current_date)) has
    now the second would:
    Snapshot Date. "' Snapshot date" = TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_WEEK-10, TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_DAY, (6 - dayofweek (current_date) + 2), current_date)) B
    a third

    Snapshot Date. "' Snapshot date" = TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_WEEK-10, TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_DAY, (4 - dayofweek (current_date) + 2), current_date)) D

    for simplicity let's call filters A, B, C, D
    so, my sql expression should be something like the snapshot Date. "" Instant Date "in 'A', ' B', ' d ', 'C '.
    I tried to combine the underside, with hooks and comma separated, without brackets, with single quotes and without, but I always get a syntax error.

    Snapshot Date. "" Instant Date "in TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_WEEK-10, TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_DAY, (7 - dayofweek (current_date) + 2), current_date)).
    TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_WEEK-10, TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_DAY, (6 - dayofweek (current_date) + 2), current_date)).
    TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_WEEK-10, TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_DAY, (5 - dayofweek (current_date) + 2), current_date)).
    TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_WEEK-10, TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_DAY, (4 - dayofweek (current_date) + 2), current_date))

    He doesn't seem to like the function IN either.
    Any idea?

    Take each of these filters and union in your report of responses.

    In this way, filter you up to exactly the last 4 days.

  • I need help please. (what is the next step after installing Vcenter?)

    Dear professionals

    I installed ESXi 5.5, Vsphere client, AD, SQL, SSO, inventory, service, web client Vsphere and Vcenter server.

    as you can see FRO the attached photo, I just connected to vcenter server and now I don't know what to do next.

    Also, should I connect the view of the Horizon to the Vcenter? How?  and what is the relationship between Horizon view the vCenter.

    Please me advice what to do, please guide me.

    Thank you very much

    naoufl

    The next step, you will want to do is create an object of data center - it's under this inventory you will add your hosts - ESXi

    vCenetr, this is what allows you to centrally manage your environment - view Horizon allows you to create an environment to host virtual offices - Horizon view interacts with vCenter understand the environment and to know what ESXi hosts there are available - this will provide more insight.

    I want to know what are the underlying tables used to v$ sql. How can I find that

    All of the V$ * 'views' data structures query SGA & are presented as regular SQL views.

    That may be true, but does not answer his question.

    The way this works is, take V$ SQL example:

    SQL> select owner,object_type,object_name from dba_objects where object_name='V$SQL';

    OWNER        OBJECT_TYPE            OBJECT_NAME
    ---------- ------------------- ------------------------------
    PUBLIC        SYNONYM            V$SQL

    SQL>

    V$ SQL is, in fact a public synonym. We will see that it points to:

    SQL> exec print_table('select owner,synonym_name,table_owner,table_name,db_link from dba_synonyms where owner=''PUBLIC'' and synonym_name = ''V$SQL''');
    OWNER                     : PUBLIC
    SYNONYM_NAME                : V$SQL
    TABLE_OWNER                : SYS
    TABLE_NAME                : V_$SQL
    DB_LINK                 :
    -----------------

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    Now, we can see that V$ SQL is a public synonym that points to SYS. V_$ SQL. Now, DBA_SYNONYMS said there is a table, but it could also be a view. And, in this case, it's a view.
    We can see that here:

    SQL> exec print_table('select owner,object_type,object_name from dba_objects where owner=''SYS'' and object_name =''V_$SQL''');
    OWNER                     : SYS
    OBJECT_TYPE                : VIEW
    OBJECT_NAME                : V_$SQL
    -----------------

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    OK, so V_$ SQL is a point of view.
    Let's see what the definition is:

    SQL> exec print_table('select text from dba_views where owner=''SYS'' and view_name = ''V_$SQL''');
    TEXT                     : select

    -----------------

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    Huh? How V_$ SQL can be based on V$ SQL, when V$ SQL is a synonym that points to V_$ SQL?

    Well, is where the trick comes in. SYS. V$ SQL is a fixed view, that is a view that is owned by SYS and begins by "V$" or "GV$".
    So, we can look at V$ FIXED_VIEW_DEFINITION to see the definition of SYS. V$ SQL:

    SQL> exec print_table('select view_definition from v$fixed_view_definition where view_name = ''V$SQL''');
    VIEW_DEFINITION            : select     SQL_TEXT , SQL_FULLTEXT , SQL_ID,

    PHYSICAL_READ_REQUESTS, PHYSICAL_READ_BYTES, PHYSICAL_WRITE_REQUESTS,
    PHYSICAL_WRITE_BYTES, OPTIMIZED_PHY_READ_REQUESTS, LOCKED_TOTAL, PINNED_TOTAL,
    IO_CELL_UNCOMPRESSED_BYTES, IO_CELL_OFFLOAD_RETURNED_BYTES from GV$SQL where
    inst_id = USERENV('Instance')
    -----------------

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    Thus, SYS. V$ SQL is based on GV$ SQL. So, what's the GV$ SQL?

    SQL> exec print_table('select owner,object_type,object_name from dba_objects where object_name =''GV$SQL''');
    OWNER                     : PUBLIC
    OBJECT_TYPE                : SYNONYM
    OBJECT_NAME                : GV$SQL
    -----------------

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    Another synonym? Where this all ends up? (Hold on, we're almost there!)
    So, what synonym SQL of GV$ tip to?

    SQL> exec print_table('select * from dba_synonyms where owner=''PUBLIC'' and synonym_name = ''GV$SQL''');
    OWNER                     : PUBLIC
    SYNONYM_NAME                : GV$SQL
    TABLE_OWNER                : SYS
    TABLE_NAME                : GV_$SQL
    DB_LINK                 :
    -----------------

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    OK, so, now we have GV_$ SQL. What is it exactly? Is this really a table? Or maybe another opinion?

    SQL> exec print_table('select owner,object_type,object_name from dba_objects where owner=''SYS'' and object_name = ''GV_$SQL''');
    OWNER                     : SYS
    OBJECT_TYPE                : VIEW
    OBJECT_NAME                : GV_$SQL
    -----------------

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    OK, so GV_$ SQL is another point of view. Let's look at the definition only !

    SQL> exec print_Table('select text from dba_views where owner=''SYS'' and view_name = ''GV_$SQL''');

    So, here we are, finally, we come to the legendary ' X$ ' table! A table of $ X is hard-coded in the kernel of the Oracle, and it is a projection of the table of a chunk of memory in the SGA. It can not be updated, only questioned and investigated reading consistency.

    I'm sure that this post raises questions, but it is already too long, so, I'll leave it at that.

    Do not hesitate to ask questions, followed, and I'll try to address them.

    Hope that helps,

  • What is the value mentioned in the 'group' in the form of definition list of choices.

    What is the group in the form of definition list of choices. Is this something I need to create a group first and then assign it here or just type a group, it will be created?

    I created a list of choices like below

    (2) created a sandbox and a search box with list drop down option in the console of sysadmin. (not as a searchable list of choice).

    (3) created a sanbox in the console of the identity and trying to add a list of value of the ADF, nothing is coming (not able to see the field).

    For this field of type lookup should I select only one ADF option or select one choice, instead of the ADF value entry list?

    Please suggest.

    Hello

    On the creation of research of the Group field is just for research or to specify as a result of research belonging to a specific group. For example, you can specify your specific project for all custom research chain, that you created so that in the end, you can recognize your custom research and research OOTB.

    The user interface component is depend on your condition for example if you want dropdown and a single value undergo framework that you can use selectonechoice ADF and ADF LOV alone is different where all values given in different pop up and on the selection of a value of the same value obtained on LOV but I have tested this web composer LOV component and don't forget not there is a problem with this element of the adf. I added outside rather than web composer LOV.

    To try and discover what ADF UI component is adapted to your condition by activating your sandbox and when you finalize the component that only publish your sandbox.

    Kind regards

    After the redemption code was sent to you, back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, open the Mac App Store, go to its home page, use the code, wait for Setup to finish downloading (it will take at least a few hours) and follow the instructions on the screen.
