What is UMonit.exe?

Ok... This topic may be "off topic" in this category... But where should I post this anyway? So, here's the thing...

If you can search here for my other question, you probably know that I was using windows vista. and that my computer has been attacked by a virus... So I was able to install a new operating system, Windows 7 Home Premium rather almost all the files I can recover... But one weird thing I noticed for me...

At the time, when I was with Windows Vista, I noticed my sidebar, this CPU meter gadget. The process has been more than 60% even though I was not doing something with the PC... I was curious and found a way to find out... By opening the Task Manager and check the processes tab... And WOAH! The process named UMonit.exe used most of the process... or what... I was just curious to know what is this thing, dig a bit has me worried because some said it could be dangerous to 50-60%... He also says it's running at startup... Simply, it warns when a usb key (something is available). If it is just its functions, it would be better for me pull some said that by deleting all the time, I need to uninstall a device called mass storage driver USB Genesys it... Well, for now, I just completed the process and the process counter is down to 3%... But it would be desirable... I mean, what is the wrong revoming it?

I do not know if you driver Genesys mass storage / software installed this utility, if uninstalling it would have no impact on a device, you can have. its also possible that this utility can show in msconfig, the Startup tab, where you could deselect to avoid that it starts at startup.
