  Save the attachment to your HARD drive. Right-click on it and open with | Choose the program.   Since July of this year, when I try to back up my computer to HP Envy 17 laptop I get a pop-up window asking if I want to allow the following program to make changes to my computer.  The program is: Microsoft Windows Backup/Windows Hardware Driver verification / valid from 07/12/2009 to 03/07/2011.  Because the validation is obviously outdated, I consider the program run out of appropriate verification, but I can't back up my computer without the program.

  Hewlett-Packard said the problem probably occurs because the computer was missing an update of windows.  Updates happen automatically without my intervention.  I bought the new computer, directly from HP in the month of August, 2011 (after the date of validation of program pop up) with Windows 7 Ultimate installed and had no problem backup of my files to a CD until July of this year.  I believe that the problem may be the result of a rather than a missed update windows update.  What should I do so that I can make a routine (monthly) BACK to the top without having to allow a program that is not properly validated?

  At this point, the problem of slower Internet connection and loading is probably resolved.  I wanted to try the simpler remedy without doing unnecessary downloads.  Fortunately, there is a Windows update that created a restore point the day before the problem occurred.  I restored the system to this date, and the problem disappeared...   You need a version of Camera Raw of 9.0 or higher and Photoshop elements 12 will not manage that. You need to get the free DNG Converter, convert your DNG files, before you can open the items.

  What version of OS/Safari do you use?

  Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  Once done, launch Photoshop and click Help > about plug-in > Camera Raw.

  And check the version of Camera Raw, you see there, it should be the most recent.

  MDEX 6.4.1 is part of the Oracle short trade 3.1.2 support pack.  I think for 6.4.1.1 you must reach out to support to get this fix.  (Unless your Solaris operating system, whereby 6.4.1.1 is on delivery)
