  According to Sibelius website, http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/compatibility/Sibelius-Scorch-plug-in-compatiblity it works with all the latest versions of all major web browsers. Please update Firefox 38.0.5 and then update scorch. Update Firefox to the latest version

  Yes, Photoshop CS5 (and CS5.1) work fine on Windows 8 and 8.1.  I run it myself (as well as other versions going the way back) on Windows 8.1 now.

  If you want to upgrade to Windows 8 should be based on other factors, however.  It's a market flop.  Many conscientious people choose to stay on Windows 7 because it is more oriented to the serious and professional computing.  Windows 8 has taken off in the sense of being a toy.  It can be reconfigured, tweaked and enhanced with 3rd party software to make it more serious - I did - but it took all my skills to do, and I'm a software engineer career.

  If you go down the road of Windows 8, I wrote a book called 'Configure the Options of Windows 8 "on the job" ' on how to implement serious computing.
