I need to know what audio drivers should I use for Windows XP?

Use the XP drivers for your model.

    Download drivers

Visit the manufacturer's Web site and select your model (this is usually done in the Support section). You should be able to download drivers for your model if they have drivers for your version of Windows. Download the driver (s) and follow the instructions to install - every computer is different, so I can't give you exact directions.

  • DV6 - 2173cl: what the drivers of network adapter for LAN and WiFi for HP dv6 - 2173cl

    Hello

I have reinstall my drivers for the computer hp laptop dv6 - 2173cl.  This laptop has LAN and WiFi cards.  I looked at the driver for this model and I see that for drivers WIFI HP has:
    Available drivers Atheros and Broadcom.

I let Windows Update and it installed an Intel WiFi Link driver which is not yet on the Internet HP site.  I have

Do I need to install Atheros or Boardcom WiFi driver for this model?    I'm afraid that, perhaps, the Intel driver is a generic driver that makes the card works but is not optimizing his performance as do dedicated pilots.

How do I know what brand for the wifi card I have?

    Thank you

    You are the very welcome.

You need the JMicron card reader driver for your model.

You don't need the driver of Intel Matrix Storage manager.

The Intel matrix storage driver manager is used for disk raid configurations.

I couldn't find a W7 driver for your Intel card.  The site is down or they can't stand any more of the map.

It states right they do not provide phone, chat or emal support for this card.

So here is the latest driver I could find at HP.

If it is newer that what update of windows installed, then you can install it.

  • Re - install Windows 7 64 bit on HP laptop. Process OK but stops at the screen "selection drivers are installed.

This screen has field "Brose to the drivers and then select them. I don't know where to find the drivers. It seems to be a 6drives of choice to find the driver, the following:

    ACE (C :)

    Recovery (d :))

    Drive local (e)

    HP_Tools (F:0

CD (g) GSP 1RMCHPXFREO_en_dvd drive; IT MAY BE OBVIOUS to THOSE MORE TECH SAVVY THAN me BUT THIS IS WHERE THE OS7 64 BIT INSTALLATION DISC SENT to ME BY MSFT IS supposed TO BE running

    BOOT (X :))

Each of them has subfolders in which, I guess, are the drivers in question. Each drive, folder, or file in the folder caused the error (paraphrased) thers are no driver (fix?) at this place.

Sometimes I receive an error message different that (really paraphrase) "this folder contains only (type) of drivers.» Install the drivers of the need (different type).

So useful, I'll try the process again to see exactly this error message. I actually meet this problem whenever I re - install or recover OS 7 - he did not recover the Dell laptop. That recovery used a Dell memory stick (I assume it was an iso image of an operating system, every other time - whenever I need to re - install or recover OS 7 disk or partition, I get this message.)

It would not be a problem if I could just open or find the folder that would recognize the process. I thought drivers would have been included in fees on l drive bought Windows OS7. I also assume that the process would know where to look for them. Unfortunately, I'm completely ignorant of something as simple as which drive I should be looking for drivers. After that, I would have thought would a healthy BONE folder or subfolder named drivers. The term health indicates that this pc has been infected with trojan/virus/bot (really is or causes these types of malware) named Zeroaccess/sirefef. What I've read, this Trjan is far ahead than anything since Conficker. It corrupts so-called settings, applications, registry keys (all the foregoing, I saw myself.) It is not recognized by some A / V of the program because it hides deeply in records that look normal comoletely to A / V. I read that it can also infect the MBR and BIOS (those that I can't personally attest that I wouldn't have any appearance of abberation as easily as those which are recognized in the damaged registry keys.

The entire point of the last year is #1 not knowing if I could jeopardize the clean install using the infected folder information from a pre-existing source. As a sidenote and explanation of fears this malware invades much further than what I've seen. Although it is biggest damage in UAC, so has the level SYSTEM/NT security make the removal of this malware allowed programs/settings that must be removed or modified and #2 my reluctance to look deeply into (c), (d), or (e) for the drivers appropriate as I don't want to move usually infected files (autorun.inf) ($RECYCLE.) (BIN) (no installation. original when the choice of language, but when the folder remains on the BONE records 'EN-US') (users) and (fonts) but also the MBR or BIOS.

This leaves less records to find the necessary drivers. Why they would be included in new OS install disk - or if they are, where? If I need to get them other readers, I don't know which of the readers to explore or where the folder is located. I looked at the (c :)) (D) and (e) program (86), the program data and other classic areas.) I fear that they are in a folder of the user that are inaccessible to me.

If someone could possibly tell me that I have to do (other than writing more short messages) to install the proper drivers and where the source of these drivers, I would bless you insofar as my agnostic soul would allow. A game of Hail Mary might be to download the drivers from the Windows site on a flash drive correctly set form and, if it is not, how to allow car point navigation window to it. If someone could tell me how to get rid of the Trojan horse (it has also infected all used flash and hard drives-especially with autorun.inf & $RECYCLE.) BEN vectors); I would be doubly bless you, with the same caveats mentioned above. If a representative of MSFT tech support could tell me how to do this in the real world as opposed to the world of the window) This suggests bugs impossible to implement effectively since most of the files, processes, changes to authorization and taking possession ad nauseum do not apply to the real world, such as recording, save changes buttons or other way to save the changes is inevitable gray received nt or system-level security. Owner admin is relegated to (in fact, no name) to the Standard user status; I would bless them trebly since no one I spoke with over the past 15 months than every Tech MSFT repeatedly and condescendingly I blamed my concern about malware that was non-existent, or, as some suggest.  "exist but nothing that could passed MSER" (perhaps true, but unable to verify since TH stops the function of any security, MSER/Defender software first and foremost, it restores HitmanPro; also all other software, same TSSDkiller same serious stuff like Combofix, Hijack, Rkill, ineffective or impossible to download;) MSFT publishes a patch/script for this formerly non-existent hype but now described by Windows as dangerous, threatening. Patch/script/mini-securite program is be released this Tuesday, to come "to protect your PC against newly found and very dangerous threat known as the zeroaccess or sirefef (don't raise your hopes if you have problems because every beta user said that" holes & missing files makes this patch ineffective. ").

Sorry, this seems to cover more than 1 topic, but I'm afraid that answer may not recognize corrupt files/folders found on some readers

  • New Y410p - what drivers to install?

    Hello

So I bought a new Y410p last week and the first thing I did was install all important Windows Update.

Now, I wonder about the necessary drivers.

Should Lenovos Web site, what drivers I install? Everything that applies to windows 8.1? Or do I need to install the drivers for windows 8 first, then for windows 8.1?

And do I have to install all?

Thank you in advance for your help!

In an upgrade process, Setup usually picks up device drivers which he uses packaged drivers in the program installation or the internet and upgrades the drivers too. Even if we can't say that all drivers are made compatible with the new version of windows or the drivers are more recent. Therefore, this is the reason why I asked you to check the Device Manager to see if there are all the drivers installed.

I have Windows Defender.  Should I still something like Norton installed on my laptop?

Yes. Windows Defender protects against spyware, no malware in general.

Your choice may be paid for the 3rd party program such as Norton or Kaspersky, or you can go for something free like Microsoft Security Essentials.
