Whats with Vista does not support full screen mode?

I found that if a program or a game trys to run to (mode full screen) after a few minutes or seconds, Vista it minimizes or restores his window. This occurs in WMP11 and some other games, but not at my Win95 games, such as the 1999 edition of Nascar and my Viper Racing, because it opens, (referring to the 1999 edition of Nascar) I can see the reverse color window open and streach on the screen if you don't see the windows title bar and reduce restore, and close icons. I wonder if I can fix now or wait until Win7 comes out and update. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium, on my 3 month old Acer Aspire 4736Z.

Well, I didn't do anything that you said, and over time he worked on it self. Maybe it was an upadte or something because I do not change a thing.

If I thought this game was created to run under DOS. Try this:

Download and install the emulator back from here: http://www.dosbox.com/ this one I think is the most popular (if I remember that I've also used) > launch game using the emulator back (somewhere, you will find information how to do this). In this way, I launched a few really old game, as the Park theme and Desert Strike.

  • Why Assassin's Creed does not start full screen mode?

I have to type Alt + Enter whenever I want to play AC.

    Search for C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed\Assassin.ini

In this file, there should be a line that says "fullscreen = 0" or something like that. Change to 1 and you should not do that either. This game is quite buggy for PC.

If so, right-click on the icon and select Properties.

  • Satellite A300 PSAG0A - games does not show full screen

I have a large number of games installed on my computer. At least 90% of them appear not in the size of the full screen, but they are displayed in a small window with a large amount of black screen that surrounds the window. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. However, I don't think that it has nothing to do with Windows as my husband is running the same games on his Toshiba Satellite L300, exactly the same version of windows running, and they are all displayed in full screen.

Change the screen resolution makes no difference. And, of course, I select the option full screen in games.

Also, sometimes when I play a game and then closed it I think my desktop image shrank to small size - the same size the window in which the game was displayed when I played it.

Games work fine in every other sense, isn't this small screen size that is driving me crazy.

I hope someone can help me with this!

    Hello

    I think I know what's wrong.
You should go to the control panel and you must choose the Intel graphics Media Accelerator for Mobile.
Here, you should go to display settings-> image format Options, and there you have set the image in full screen format.

    Check it!

Open Control Panel and double-click on display - which will open the Windows XP display menu.

Display Menus differ, then the next steps depend on the type of video card.  Therefore, you may have to adapt the following instructions.  However, a good place showing would be click on settings, then advanced.

The display Menu will probably be a tab marked adapter.  If Yes, click the map tab and see if it allows you to display a list of the different modes of your video card supports.  Try the different modes.  (If you have a standard 4:3 ratio monitor, try the modes 4:3 ratio.  If you have a widescreen 16:9, try ratio 16:9 modes).

If this does not help, see the control panel offers an additional icon for your video driver.  For example, Control Panel on my laptop includes a labeled icon driver Intel GMA for Mobile.  Double click on this icon you propose other format settings, include "keep proportion", "full screen (no border). and "Desktop".  Your boys may have changed one of these parameters.

If all else fails, you can try a restore of the system at a time when your computer was working OK.  (Start |) Run | C:\Windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe)

    d. If the problem does not persist in the boot, it means that some programs non-Microsoft is the source of the problem.
