When I hover over a link, Firefox adds the site before my link makes it bad.

I was check the compatibility of my site. So I opened http://www.sethermal.com. It was fine until I flew over a link. Firefox has added the site and broke the link.

For example.
I entered the address bar www.sethermal.com . The site came fine.
I hover over the 'Site Map' link on my page. Link is http://www.sethermal.com/pages/site-map.html
Before clicking on the link, I looked down and Firefox shows www.sethermal.com/-www.sethermal.com\pages\site-map.html
When I click on the link of course I 404 page not found

Why is this happening?

These links have a backslash instead of a slash.
Firefox is not so forgiving as other browsers and treats a backslash as a character valid and thus prefixes links with the URL of the page.

  • I don't see the overview of URL that you get when you hover over a link. Why?

    Until today, when I flew over my cursor a link, a preview of the URL of the link appears at the bottom left of my screen, above the Start button (I use Windows Vista). Currently when I hover over a link, no preview appears, so I do not know the web address where I'm going when I click on the link. I thought that maybe this was due to the update to Firefox 19.0, but my friends who have also updated say they can still see the URL preview. Did somehow turn off the preview of the URL by chance? If so, how can I turn it back on? If this is not the case, why is it gone?

    I still see the URL previews! I don't know exactly why; He could have just a weird blip on my end. Thanks for your help!

  • How can I see the full target URL when I hover over a link? Not a short URL.

    How can I see the full target URL when I hover over a link? I don't want to see short URL. Is there a way to customize this?

    Full target URL allowing me to easily see how visitors reached my site via Google, Bing, Yahoo Research, etc. With the short URL I don't see what they entered into the search field.

    You can use this extension to restore the characteristics of loss of status bar and customize settings such as displaying the URL of a link to the overview.

  • the ToolTip that fleet upward when you hover over a link with a mouse works erratically if said the link is in the lower left corner of web page

    So the title says pretty much everything that, but I would stay again.

    There is a small balloon that floats to the top in the lower left corner of the browser window when you hover over a link on a page with a mouse. The address of the link leads, indicates in the ToolTip.
    However, if the link in question is in the lower left corner of the Web page, the ToolTip floats high above right. Then he disappears to reappear a few milliseconds later. This blinking persists; You can neither do address or click on the link. By pressing several times shows RMB RMB menu for the link, which finally allows you to copy the link location and paste it into the address bar.

    Try disabling the Redirect Remover extension if you have. Disabling this extension worked for me which allows the address bar that appears at the bottom left when you move to a link to the right in certain situations.

  • How to hide the Alt description when you hover over your links?

    I was told that you must have a description for images, links to just about everything. But when I saw my Web site and hover over the links, a yellow box will appear with the description of the images. How can I hide this?

    You're seen with an old (very old?) version of Internet Explorer, which is the only browser on earth that does what you describe.  All other browsers follow the rules and leave only alt attribute values (what they do).

    You can choose to ignore it, or 'kill' by adding a title attribute which is empty, for example,

    foo

    In addition, you add alt attributes to images for accessibility reasons.  People who browse with images turned off (and there are) or the people who use the devices and accessories functional screen (screen readers) need some indication that there is a picture in the place where they are to search/playback.  Therefore, you only want to add content to these alt attributes, where it is important to the message of the page (that is, a cosmetic image only would just a value of an empty alt attribute). And you only need them for pictures, not for any other element of the page...

    When I hover over or click a button in the toolbar it is messed up. Blocks, or more like pixels, appear on the buttons. They are white and they move. Few black lines appear too around the buttons. I tried to uninstall and re - download Firefox, a complete reset, etc. Nothing has worked so far. • How to display multiple images when I hover over different areas with the function of mouse?

    I worked on a flash Simulator to show what our product would look like twin rangefinder Expert. The idea is to fly over an area, or image and show the range or extent to which the object is to you.

    expertlrf.jpg

    I managed in the implementation with the following code below.  However, I can't add several images "range" (or symbols) when I hover over a certain area.  Can someone help me with the code?  I looked for hours on the internet and I can't make it work.  I'm new to Flash, but begins to learn as much as I can.  Any help is appreciated!  Thank you!

    ActionScript 3:

    img_nv. Mask = mask2_mc;

    mask2_mc.buttonMode = true;

    mask2_mc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, onDown);

    mask2_mc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onUp);

    function onDown(e:MouseEvent):void {}

    mask2_mc.StartDrag ();

    }

    function onUp(e:MouseEvent):void {}

    mask2_mc.stopDrag ();

    }

    You can't have different functions with the same name.  Back to my previous answer (4) where I talk about using the tables of information/data and event.currentTarget.name.

  • Path of the file Visible when I hover over the Images

    Hello

    I converted a PowerPoint document in PDF format. The PowerPoint includes images (GIF, JPEG). When I move my cursor over the image in the PDF I created, I see the path to the file C:\User\User Name\Photo\File Name.JPG.

    Is there a setting in the PDF file that I can "unselect" so I do not see the path of the file when I hover over the images?
