I want to play games, but only if its not harmful for my Macbook. I tried to play WoW and he did work properly but the thing is that the fans inside the macbook has started to blow very hard. And the macbook started to warm up, I don't really know if it's a good thing...

The question is: is it smart to play games like World of Warcraft on macbook pro 13' (2015)

I really hope that there is someone in the same situation as me, and he can tell me his opinion on this subject.

    Hello
I thought about buying a new laptop and I have absolutely no idea of which to buy. I am wanting to buy a laptop that can run games like World of Warcraft and Battlefield 2 online.
Gladly, I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions as to a good laptop that I could buy for less than £1000.

The P300 seems to be really a nice laptop
But there is different material specifications; for example, different processors, graphics cards, etc.

But portable P300 series isn't bad and I'm sure that your games runs correctly.

I don't think it's really important at the start of the question.

What is important is to know how to fix it.

If you get a blue screen of death (BSOD) when you play, it seems that you should take a look at your video drivers.

The chipset on your Asus GeForce 9500 GT is NVIDIA, so I visit NVIDIA site and let scan them online, take a look at your system and if there is one more late video driver for your system and if there is, consider installing it.

    Here's how:

I use the NVIDIA site and let scan them online take a look at your video system and see what he suggests for drivers and consider their analysis if they offer a new driver.

It is recommended to run the scan NVIDIA with Internet Explorer.

Here is the address of the NVIDIA page:

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/Prescan.aspx?lang=en-us

Read the instructions, and then click the DRIVERS GRAPHICS button to start scan and answered in the affirmative, if asked to install the plugin required to run the NVIDIA scan.

If following their indications do not straighten things, then follow these steps:

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information.

This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and everything seems to be
information private for you, just delete pasted information.

When you have the time, I could do that too:

Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

  • The computer says to run chkdsk b/c the program files are corrupted. When I run chkdsk/r, it indicates that the NTFS is locked and I have to restart to run chkdsk. When I reboot, the chkdsk never runs.

    Original title: Program Files gone?

Recently, I started my computer and noticed that a bunch of files are corrupt, and left most of my shortcuts.  I went into Program Files and discovered the entire file completely empty.  The computer says to run chkdsk b/c the program files are corrupted.  When I run chkdsk/r, it indicates that the NTFS is locked and I have to restart to run chkdsk.  When I reboot, the chkdsk never runs.

My wife has all of its graduates work on the computer, I backed up since then, but I try to avoid doing a restore of the entire system.  Can you help me?

    I am running Microsoft XP.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your XP system.  For XP support please visit the link below
    http://www.Microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx?DG=Microsoft.public.WindowsXP.General

Also, try to start the computer in Mode safe.
When the computer is switched on 1, start pressing F8 until you get a menu of Windows startup, choose Safe Mode.

Sounds like something important happened (corruption).  If you have important data there (for example, your wives, diploma work), I would strongly suggest taking the computer to a qualified technician so that they can recover data out of there before the drive goes down or the o/s is too damaged.

    Good luck

  • Power saving mode stops my PC after a few minutes of play Eve, an online game. How can I fix this?

Power save comes into play after a few minutes of play Eve, an online game.   I then have to manually turn off the PC before it can be restarted.  I adjusted the power settings on the PC and it happens to sleep.  I contacted Dell and downloaded a difficulty that has not worked.  I have a question pending for Eve support staff, but thought that I can get a fix here.

Check power Panel ctrl if win xp, and together turn it off hard drive option never, you can also disable the screen saver, disable standby of the system or in Hibernate besides.

  • Laptop shuts off and turns on when I close the lid

Hi, I just bought a HP Pavilion 15-n253sv and I noticed that when I close the lid its turns off instead of getting in standby mode. Also when I stopped it, and then I close the lid it lights up. Its like the on off button. Is it a hardware problem that I must return the laptop? I checked out the settings and it is said that when the lid is closed it just goes to the standby mode. I have win 8.1.

    Hi Biliou,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

If I understand you correctly, your computer shuts down when you close the lid, and if it is turned off and you close the lid it lights.  I think you are right to think it's a hardware problem. You can contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click on the link to get help from your region number. Contact HP worldwide

I hope that this helps, please let me know how it goes.

I don't know what other details I can give you. I'm not very computer wise. Just a web browser and Claris emailer daily. It is a problem of catch 22. For example when I install a program. flash player Adobe for example, it tells me to close firefox to continue and when I do I get the firefox still works the message even if there is no window. And if the installation is not complete. I love firefox but it kinda turns out to be a dealbreaker. hope you can help.

    • Try this.
    • Type in the bar of address about: config.
    • Accept the warning.
    • On the page that appears, in the filter box, type Network.http.Max - connections.
    • Replace the value 32 (which is probably the value 256 in your case).
    • Close the topic: config page.
    • Restart the browser.
  • When I start typing in the upper right search box, after a few letters are typed, a menu drops down with choice. When I click on a choice, it does not appear in the search box and I have to type it myself.

  • HP 250 G2, stop down after a few minutes when idle

    Dear all,

It's my first time to post on the forum; I hope you take slightly if I can't follow the requirements in the process.

I recently acquired a laptop HP 250 G2 that came with Windows 8. I noticed it was a little insensitive, especialy when you type something or double-click to launch or open a file/folder/app/program. So, I decided to change to Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit - this operating system has proved to be untenable since I couldn't find the drivers especially for graphics. On the HP site, I found graphics drivers for windows 7 Professional 64-bit, so I changed that.

The challenge with the Windows 7 professional 64 bit was that the USB 2.0 drivers, adapter WiFi, Bluettooth and PCI are really difficult to find, literally, I spent two nights at their research. Finally, I found them.

    (1) I however noticed that my laptop voluntarily stops completely after 7-10 minutes of inactivity and when that happens, the light on the switch of the WiFi button stays on, and when you press the caps lock shift key, the light comes on and runs constantly - until when you restart. It also takes time to power when it does this, sometimes invites me to remove the battery and reinstall it before he can answer.

    (2) as I mentioned, it was difficult to find some crucial drivers for the PC. I made a number of errors of judgment and managers of different sites and I think that I installed several drivers unnecessary, risky and out of place, I was wondering if anyone here knows of a driver or a program I can use to identify individuals 'undesirables' drivers and help uninstall them.

    Thank you -: 0
