When I restored it firefox, I lost all of my items to scrapbook?
When I updated Firefox to 27.0.1 I lost scrapbook, so I did a reset of firefox. Have I lost all my items to scrapbook? I think I scrapbook more 2 installed - I think! At this point, I'm totally frustrated. I have used Firefox for years, and this is the first time that I had these problems.
Also, alt print screen and print screen does not work properly with Firefox now. It works fine with Internet Explorer and Chrome, and believe me I went thru hell trying to find out what was wrong before I found out that the updated Firefox was the problem. I am using win xp sp 3. I would appreciate any help.
I'm almost ready to say goodby to Firefox even when I loved her in the past.
Thanks for any help.
Hi Rob, thanks for sending me the document.
I think that the 'partial screen' strange artifacts could indicate that Firefox is not totally compatible with the driver for your graphics card. The usual solution is to disable the use of Firefox hardware acceleration.
the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > advanced
In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.
Which will take effect after you quit and then restart Windows. Any difference?
I notice that you turn off hardware acceleration for a different reason (https://support.mozilla.org/questions/948616) about 14 months ago, but after using Firefox reset function, which would default to 'on '.

I have reset firefox and lost all bookmarks. No backups.
First of all I discovered I could no longer type a web address directly into the address bar and access a site. Then, on the advice of online support, I reset Firefox, and the result was that I lost all my favorites. I tried backup to a recovery point, but it was not good. Help!
For best results, I wouldn't use Windows System Restore feature. This can lead to mixed files that do not work well together...
You're low space by chance? Reset feature duplicates a lot of data and sometimes it does not end when the disk space.
Could you search for your old settings folder in the following two locations:
- Windows desktop: the folder named "old data of Firefox.
- Firefox profiles folder: copy the following text and paste it into the search box on the start menu, and then press ENTER:
%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
You will certainly find your current (incomplete) record, but there is also an older file (old modified sense just before your reset).
If you find one of them, recover bookmarks, you can restore a backup by following the steps described in this article: restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer. At the step where you choose file, point you Firefox in this profile folder everywhere where you found it, and then in the folder bookmarkbackups inside.
You can also save other settings of the folder. This article can help, or for more specific help post-return: recovery of data from an old profile.
A bit of luck so far?

My Firefox has lost all the standard tabs and search is no longer using Google?
Today, my former excellent Firefox all lost it's memory. My standard tabs in the top bar are all gone. He constantly only to search in Yahoo, I hate. I want to like it was yesterday. I want that all my tabs back and I want it to look using Google. I tried to set up an account and Sync, but anything doesn't work as it keeps going back to a new start empty without tabs and Yahoo search.
Look at your desktop. You see a folder called; Old Firefox?

Has given the green light to upgrade Firefox to the latest version, to realize that all stored passwords were no longer available.
Can I restore these passwords?Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/safe+mode
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
You need a (backup) copy of the files logins.json and key3db to retrieve the passwords if you current copies are lost or corrupted.
- Tools > Options > Security: passwords: "saved passwords" > "show passwords".

Firefox has lost all the tabs and bookmarks on startup.
Computer ran out of memory, I quit firefox because he did not like it usually does, and then when I restarted, all the Favorites have disappeared, the bookmarks bar is now empty and all the Add-ons have disappeared from the top of the browser, but not the background. However, all the Add-ons are still there, but not all work (e.g. further development of Reddit). I tried to restore the bookmarks or even import chrome, but this says it fails in the first case and terminates the process, but nothing happens in the second.
What is going on? I really don't want to switch to chrome after using firefox for more than 5 years.
You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

I have I have been refreshing to Firefox and lost all my favorites!
I went through the troubleshooting and monitoring instructions and my favorites are gone. read a few articles about the recovery, but was a bit hesitant to follow through when he said that I had 14 files, when I know I have a lot more.
Find the folder of old data of Firefox on the desktop. Make a copy of it, just in case you get stuck or need to start. But scrupulously every step:

After I did an update of Firefox, I lost all of the icons in my Yahoo mail Page - how?
It's my Macbook Air (2010) current time on OSX10.10.2.T three days, I approved an update of Firefox and when I did - my Yahoo Mail! account deleted all its icons on the pages of the mail. There are symbols programming here and when I place the cursor over them, the function is defined and works, but it's really slow me down. Is it a Firefox problem or a problem of Yahoo? I tried to get help from Yahoo through their community of response but no luck there.
I am a novice at best advanced - I do not at all program and especially reolved my problems through help desks or community help.Hi rqk849,
I understand that Yahoo Mail! The icons are missing in the site Web of Yahoo. Please upgrade to the latest version of Firefox:

Firefox Sync lost all my data after 3 months of inactivity. Can I fix this?
Is this normal for Firefox Sync wipe data after a period of inactivity? Account.Services.Mozilla.org said that I use 158 KB of data. This sounds like the amount of data that a fresh firefox profile would be download Sync, or is it perhaps even my data?
Is it possible to access the logs? There is nothing in my profile weaves/logs directory.
Hi dismayy,
There is a new synchronization service that was introduced in version 29. Accounts.Firefox.com is the place to sign in. sync your bookmarks from Firefox, history, passwords, etc. However, to access the logs are the same. With respect to the loss of data, please make a local backup to back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox
- How can I activate synchronization logs:
- Talk openly about: config and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks
- Restart Firefox and look: subject: sync-log
- Logs and error messages are placed here
Please use pastebin.mozilla.org for sharring all errors that relate to this issue.
Thank you.

When I update to Firefox, it changes all my fonts. How can I stop if so?
I have windows 7. I'm stuck on 21.0 Firefox. Each update since then has changed my fonts to the point that I can't get back them. Even when I go and re - change fonts for what they should be, it is not correct. I need to restore my system to 21.0 to recover the correct fonts. I have several programs that I need the fonts to use them properly.
I had the same problem. Thanks for the info above on how to solve this problem. To summarize how to fix:
- Open a new window in FireFox.
- Put this in the address bar: subject: config
- You will see a list of parameters.
- Search for: layout.css.devPixelsPerPx
- Just right click and edit, and then enter a value like 1.0
- Open a new window of FF and surf any web page.
- If the width looks ok, you are finished with layout.css.devPixelsPerPx.
- If the width is not ok, change layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to a slightly different number. On my system, I used 1.03.
- After that, you can change your font size settings.
- To do this, tap the tools, Options menu, content.
The cause of the problem is newer versions of FF had the new thing called layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and its value has not been correctly initialized. The problem occurs to anyone who will update to the new version. It is a bug and should be fixed in the software.
