When I scanned it using 1care, I was told there are 4 questions a 2 cannot be removed. I have Mcafee 2010 and the scan finds nothing and windows Defender is not also
which would be theirs if they came as virus or spyware ect.
Hello
If she didn't say what kind of questions he couldn't take off?
If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
cause.
No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.
It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.
Download malwarebytes and scan with it, run MRT and add Prevx to be sure that he is gone.

Original title: Windows Defender
I have Windows Vista and my Windows Defender will activate/doesn't not work. When I try to turn it on, it responds by saying: 'it is not responding' and stops automatically. I tried to re - install & who did not work. Any ideas.
Hi lskdjfoie,What have you tried to reinstall? Windows Defender or other programs?I suggest the following steps and check.Step 1:Usually if you have a third-party security software installed, Windows Defender would not work. I would temporarily disable all security software and check if the problem persists.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.Step 2:If this does not help, I would say you scan SFC on your computer and check if Windows Defender works fine.Step 3:If none of the steps helps create a new user account and check if the problem persists.Let us knowAziz Nadeem - Microsoft Support[If this post was helpful, please click the button "Vote as helpful" (green triangle). Hello!
I've always used Windows updates to warn me of updates and then I install them. Normally Windows Defender is updated daily through windows updates.
For some reason, he is not showing / offering of windows defender updates.
Time windows last defender of the shows has been update on my pc was 11/2.
I know updates have been released since then for Defender, but I can't get them.
Even if it does not automatically show me, I say manually updates to check updates and which shows nothing for windows defender.
So, I went to the windows defender program and used the update it. This shows also no update available.
Can someone please help to understand what is the problem?
Thank you so much!
I have windows vista sp1, 32-bit.

Windows DEFENDER does not scan every day as expected in Windows XP
Running XP: Windows Defender is configured to run a scan of all day at 0400. The scan is not the case. Should what status I put the PC in a end of day to do this at 0400?
Hello
You don't say which Antivirus you use also, or should use.
Read this information on the Defender.
If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.
There is nothing to worry.
Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.
See you soon.

I wanted to use the tools in windows defender to disable programs start, but when I click it a window appears and says windows defender is disabled. and there are blue letters that say start and defender of open windows, when I click on that nothing happens and the window hangs there for a few seconds. Other spyware or security programs prevent Defender windows open or marketing?
If you have Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, McAfee, Norton, etc. installed, they have a conflict with Windows Defender, or turn it off.
Microsoft Security Essentials has its own integrated version of the defender and should automatically disable the version of Vista in Windows Defender.
If it's not:

I run Windows Defender if I also runs Windows Essentials?
My 8 year old computer's operating system is XP. I recently downloaded Windows essentials and get rid of my previous anti-virus/spyware software. I run Windows Defender if I also runs Windows Essentials?
Are you a person speaking of Windows Live Essentials, or Microsoft Security Essentials? The first has nothing to do with security. The latter, MSE, does this same work as Windows Defender and much more. It is not only unnecessary to run WD, you can't. MSE will it stop design to avoid conflicts and you can remove it from your machine completely if you wish. -
can simultaneously use the mse and windows defender
my query is that I can use the two Microsoft security essentials and windows defender in my windows xp service pack 3?
