When starting Firefox, Yahoo search rises
When I run firefox I get the yahoo web search search instead of the normal firefox screen. I looked into msconfig and regedit but found no way for her to turn. I tried to reload firefox, but get the same problem. This all started when I downloaded the software from the internet. I uninstalled the software.

Some malware will hijack your home page, but the first step is to try to reset it. Here are two methods:
- Launch Firefox
- Open the Web you want to be your home page.
- Click the icon to the left of the web address, drag it to the Home button, then release.
OR
- Launch Firefox
- Go to tools > Options, and then click the general tab
- Define the fall "Firefox start" drop-down on "show my home page".
- In the home page box, enter a URL or use one of the buttons
- OK your way out
If you can't reset your homepage in this way, download, install, update and run these two free malware scanners:
And if you still have problems, see the help at http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/home?as=u

Question
On the right of the adressbox, I always have Yahoo then Google, how can I solve that, I already delete Yahoo from the list in the box search, but every time I start firefox Yahoo is back. Thanks Ron Mijtelen ter, Amsterdam.Hi Ron,
Have you looked at article in the Knowledge Base using the search in Firefox bar? There are lots of good information in there. You happen to have an installed Yahoo! toolbar? You must disable or delete as well if you do. Try to start Firefox in Mode safe mode by holding down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox. If you have any problems using the safe, it's a matter of add-on or extension.
Hope this helps!

What it is now: http://i.imgur.com/kYMa3ha.pngCan someone help me solve this problem? I tried:
Starting Firefox in safe mode without addons
Firefox reset
Uninstall from the control panel (could not find in anywhere)
I am doing something wrong, or Yahoo for always default in Firefox? In fact, I'm not looking at Yahoo more. I don't know what fixed it, but it is fixed. The only thing now is that sometimes when I google something, it takes 5 minutes because a script or something stops working

JavaScript error when starting Firefox 5
I just updated Firefox to 4.0.1 to 5. Now when I run Firefox, you receive the following error message:
JavaScript application
TypeError: Components.classes['@ [cid] is undefinedWhen I click the OK button, Firefox support. It seems normal and seems to behave normally. I have Java Version 6 Update 26 installed (Windows XP), which is the latest version.
Seems to be a Firefox problem, because I had not before with the same version of Java installed. Is there a Firefox setting that should be changed, or is it perhaps a bug of Firefox?

Whenever I run Firefox, the dead page redirection occurs. The first time, the browser works very well.
You can check the setting of the home page.
- Firefox > Preferences > General > startup: Homepage
Firefox supports several home pages separated by ' |' symbol (pipe).
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

I installed firefox on my laptop 16, before that I had version 15 and everything was fine. After insalling the update, some problems came.
first of all, there is no home page illustrated when I run firefox, although I took in the optionsSecond, my bookmarks bar does not appear, I have to disable and enable the toolbar bookmark my wishlist, which is due to every time I close firefox and open it again
Thirdly, it seems to me that pages load more slowly, each new page needed a few seconds to appear, using 15 version page loading was much faster
Fourth, it never appears the address of the Web page I'll, he always just says "go to a Web site" is much more difficult to find the address of the site
Fifthly, when I move from one page to another, I cannot go back but look for the site, for example when I have something to search on google and choose a page to look at, to return to my search results, I have to search again
I hope that there are solutions for my problems
Rather than suggest that you reset with 16 of Firefox that wasn't perhaps you could try portable Firefox and use Firefox 16 in this way. Check if it works ok for you. (Portable Firefox installs easily as an additional browser without making a mess of all the other Firefox settings or bookmarks).
I could provide you with an address to download firefox 15 but is probably not better than temporarily using 3.6 Firfeox
- See install an older version of Firefox (which provides links, he also mentions the ResetFirefox, but I personally would avoid using the reset Firefox feature, unless you have no extensions and no procedure of customization/customizations)
If Firefox portable 16 work maybe we might consider then get a standard installation of 16 Firefox works fine.

Why can I not change opening Web page when starting Firefox with my PC no - adm account.
I created a non - adm account on my Dell PC and installed Mozilla Firefox with my Adm account. In my non - Adm account, I used the Options menu to set my default to open the Web page to a Web page, that I love. However, when I restart Firefox, it comes back to the original default Firefox opening Web page. I don't have this problem with my administrator account.
You can check for problems with preferences.
Delete a possible user.js file and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all default prefs.

How to disable addons without starting Firefox
How can I disable addons without launching Firefox.
Note that there is a pref (extensions.enabledAddons) that identifies enabled extensions, so in theory, you can change this pref in the prefs.js file and remove the extensions you want enabled.
If you launch Firefox in Mode safe then all extensions are disabled and you can open Firefox tools > Modules > page Extensions (topic: addons) to disable the specific extension and close and restart Firefox.
You can use one of them to start Firefox in Safe Mode:
- On Windows, hold down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox with a double click on the shortcut to the desktop Firefox
- On Mac, hold the Options key when starting Firefox
- Help > restart with disabled modules

How to get rid of yahoo as search engine when opening firefox
When I open Firefox and enter a site in the search box, yahoo appears as a research vehicle. It takes forever to find the required site. I tried various things, but it seems that this feature of Yahoo has been installed when I did another download.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
You can use the SearchReset extension to reset preferences to default values.
Note that the SearchReset extension runs only once and then uninstalls automatically, so it will not appear on the page "> Firefox Add-ons" (topic: addons).
If you do not keep the changes after a reboot or have problems with preferences, see:

When I start a new search of yahoo tab comes when I start a new search yahoo tab comes and I don't want that. How to make a different website to open?
You need to understand what you installed that changed this action to Yahoo on a blank tab, which is the default action in Firefox; and then get rid of this add-on. Then you can install an add-on that allows you to select what you want in the new tab.

Firefox is forcing me to use Yahoo search, even when I have it set to use Google for years. I read the other response to this problem, which solved the problem of the user by uninstalling "search me 2.3", but which does not appear in my modules, so I can't delete it. " How can I fix this please?
I suspect that you need to learn about the functioning of the new search bar in Firefox 34. See if anything here helps you - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/search-bar-add-change-manage-search-engines-firefox
