When the visaconf.ini is created

Hello

I want to edit visaconf.ini to change the alias names, I was wondering if anyone knows when this file is first created on a new installation of the runtime labview and visa. He was born at install or when the VI who would call a serial port of visa is open or only a certain opening MAX.

Thank you

What version of LabVIEW and NI-VISA do you use? As I said, there is no need to do anything to change an alias by default. COMx is created automatically, and you should not be seeing ASRL.

I can understand the desire to change of Comx for device x and what actually a user option, then you should edit the file visaconf or use MAX.

  • Integration of BBM to update status when the user has not created BBM

    Hello

We have integrated the update of the status of BBM in our application.

When the user opens the application they are requested permission to allow the application to access the BBM.

Then, there is an alert message which says that BBM implemented is necessary to connect to the app with options to cancel or continue.

If a user cancels out of the aler, they can always proceed through the app, but when they get to the point where they can hit a link to update their status, that nothing is happening.

I want to know how to do is that if somebody hits cancel rather than implementation of surveys BBM can we set a flag to hide the update status BBM feature?

Seems a bit odd to require someone to set up BBM but let them still cancel and run the application.  Aware that this should be handled but don't know where to do

BBM must be installed before an application can complete the BBM registration process.  If they cancelled out of this process, you will get a value of successful registration.  You must activate the features BBM of your application after a successful registration.

We still allow the user to run the application, because they may not want to configure BBM, but continue to use the application.

  • When the ORLs will be created in the Standby DB creation?

    11.2.0.3/RHEL 5.4

This is how I create my day Physics (high level steps)

Step 1. Take the primary hot aid
    RMAN > BACKUP DATABASE PLUS ARCHIVELOG;
Step 2. Create the standby to primary control file
alter database create standby controlfile as '/some/path/file'
and then to restore pending side. My question is about the restorations using RMAN DUPLICATE or normal RMAN restore.

RMAN cannot back up or restore recovery online newspapers. In a normal restore, recover the ORLs are created when you issue
    ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;
Similarly, in the physical creation of DB pending, when to do it again online logs created (not standby redo logs) for the day before DB?

    Hello

Similarly, in the physical creation of DB pending, when to do it again online logs created (not standby redo logs) for the day before DB?

Online redo logs would be created based on the information available in the controlfile when you open the database with resetlogs. But, given that it is not possible for the standby database, you may need to copy the ORL of the primary database.

    Hope this helps you http://thetendjee.wordpress.com/2007/10/16/manually-create-a-standby-database/

As mentioned previously, ORLs on Eve would not be on standby until you perform the failover.

To resolve this problem, you can do following things:
-Start by selecting name check box "Auto Save" on the subject of process definition/resource.
-Pre-fill all process using the form values pre-fill adapter on the form of courses
-You can also provide default values on the shape of course. There is a column of default name in the form of process values. Make sure that you create the new version, and then activate the form of courses.

  • Can score us some mandatory page setting when the user creates a page

    Hi all

We have a requirement where we want to store some information in the field of page_desc available in the page.

But we noticed that this field is added to the page def only when the user provides some information in the Description field when the Page itself was created.

So my question is, can get us somehow the description during the creation of the page itself.

OR, we can use service page to add the parameter pag_desc to def page somehow, if it is not present?

  • ButtonSkin call measue() twice when the icon is used

Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems that the default value as the Spark ButtonSkin.mxml eventually Measure [] call twice every time that an icon is used.

Also, last time I check the value by default than panelskin. MXML eventually call updateDisplayList() twice every time the 'borderVisible' property is displayed/hidden.

Supposed to be a bug has been saved for the second. With all the talk about the optimization of performance lately, I would have thought that these things could have been watched in the now...

  • using the .ini file created by EXE

First of all I would like to say that I have a thorough knowledge of the .ini files and the need for them.  My question is related specifically to the .ini file that is created with the executable.  I searched the forum but have not found any instance of my question specifically.  After installation, the .exe and .ini are placed in my working directory in Program Files, which I expected.  The .ini file that is created is attached.

Now, I would like to point to a different .ini that stores control settings.  I did it in the App generator under Advanced > Use Custom Config File.  That's fine and dandy, but the network, web, settings etc that have been created in the original .ini does not get included in my new .ini.  If my option is to use an .ini file separated with my control as well as created by the .exe parameters.  This seems redundant.

My question is: does nothing my executable with the .ini file that is created when it starts to run?  I'd be OK NOT to have attached items if I wanted to point to a custom .ini file?  Why create an .ini with these specific settings file if the .exe does nothing with them?

The only article I found is this one

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/5467F7D7895835C186256FAF00600A21?OpenDocument

but it does not explain what the .exe is done with it, if anything.  I guess you have a total control over the .ini and there is nothing "automatic / backstage" going on here.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why remind you the application builder to a custom INI file if you are going to have to read the chips inside manually anyway?  The reason to use a custom within the app Builder INI file is so that you can include specific parameters of execution (VI, access list server, port etc.) which are different from the settings using the LabVIEW development environment.

You need not key in the INI file for your run-time application (as evidenced by the fact that if you delete the INI file, your exe will still works, creating a new INI file with default values).  If you leave the defaults, the application adds in the first leg in any case.

You can store your own data in the same INI file used by the executable file; just put the keys in a different section.  LabVIEW Config File format INI files screws slightly differently (for example adding spaces around the = sign), but I didn't know it causes problems.

  • When I start my system, some notifications invites to the top of their own and I still see the desktop.ini file in my documents/files please what this means?

Every time I start my system, the Lync appears, a modem exe shortcut. files also appears, how can I stop this?

I want to know the meaning of desktop.ini, I remove cause it's to show in most of my documents?

Your thread was started successfully in the forum comments, so I moved it to the windows 'Repair and recovery' forum where is is more on the subject.  You must return to your topic and we tell which version of Windows you are using.

Look in your startup folder to see if you see Lync and modem.exe shortcuts in this folder.  If so, remove them and you should no longer see these pop-ups when you connect.

You can get rid of him, but it can return.  Desktop.ini is usually a file hidden, so you must have the display of hidden files and folders active if you do not see it.  Desktop.ini is a file that is present in many files and it is used by the process to "customize the folder.  It allows you to specify multiple behaviors to a folder and what desired icon displayed for a folder.  See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/cc144102(v=vs.85).aspx for a more in-depth explanation of the desktop.ini file.  For certain folders such as My Documents, you should probably leave it alone.  It won't hurt anything especially if you do remove it, but the folder will then behave like any other folder, you can create.

  • When the privacy mode is enabled, each its own separate tab is? A sneaky cookie created in a tab will be seen by another tab? Tracking cookie of some item hidden on one page can be seen on another website, if its open in another tab?

Is a tab as a separate instance of the VM when privacy mode is enabled? Independent 3rd party cookies goes out. (They are). This type of behaviour can be turned on?

In private browsing mode all cookies settings are the same as in normal mode, so all open tabs and windows share the same set of cookies.

The only difference is that you do not have access to cookies created in normal mode (you get a new set) and the session mode PB cookies are never saved on disk and are deleted when the end of this session of PB.

There are extensions that allow obtaining a whole independent cookies, drank, I don't know how they work in mode of PB.

  • What happens when the photo of system library is on an external drive and then the system creates a library of Photos? How do merge you them?

What happens when the photo of system library is on an external drive and then the system creates a library of Photos? How do merge you them?

Your library system can be on an external drive, if the drive is Mac OS extended (journaled) format and mounted on-site.

But you must be careful, your external drive is always connected and available before the Photos and to import new photos.

If Photos opens a different library, news, you can switch to the library on your external drive by double clicking on an external library. You can have several libraries, no problem.

But pictures don't have any tools to merge libraries. You can switch between libraries, then open them alternately.  To merge two libraries export the photos of the smallest library and import the photos exported in the largest library.

Or use third-party "PowerPhotos" to move photos between libraries.  But the merger is not supported in the free trial version. You must purchase the full version. You can download it here: Fat Cat Software

  • How do you create a message rule in outlook express when the subject line contains symbols

I get emails when the subject line contains square boxes.  I tried to create a message for when rule the subject contains these square boxes, but cannot do so.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

Then, it will not work. Unless the messages are always of the same address, or a domain, so the only option I see is of filter in your mail.

Start with the only rule of AddressBook and you receive a message that you want people not in your address book (E-mail from companies, bills, your ISP, etc), you can add them to the rule.

Tools | Message rules | Mail | New.

    Box 1 - Where the From line contains people {check it out}

Box 2 - Check: delete it & stop processing more rules if you want messages not in the address book to go to deleted items, or you can create a spam folder and direct them here.

You can choose to delete the server, but be careful because you never have messages downloaded to any folder, if you choose this option.

Box 3 - Click on the blue words contains people

Click on the first address to select it. Scroll to the end and hold down the SHIFT key while you click the last address. This will highlight all. Right-click on it and click on from the menu that appears.

Now, click Options and choose: Message * contains no of * the people below in the top of the page Options area, then choose: Message corresponds to one of the people below in the background Options box.

OK your way out of the new rule.

Now, only the addresses that you entered will be uploaded to your Inbox. You won't see other emails.

Remember, if you add a person to your address book, you must add to the rule. It will not automatically be added.

    Hello

What is the exact error message received when the problem occurs?

    Methood 1:

Auditor of file system (CFS) scan to fix all of the corrupted system files. To do this, follow the steps in the following link:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:

You can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

I suggest to put the computer in a clean boot state, and check if the problem persists, see the link:
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: See step 7; Reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting is performed.

    Method 3:

You can temporarily disable the security software and check if the problem occurs. Check out the following link to do the same thing:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you need more assistance.
