I am trying to install a game open source called Rigs of Rods on my dual-boot MacBook Pro with Windows 7 installed via Boot Camp. I get an error that prevents the installation of DirectX. I know that Win 7 includes DirectX 11, but this game does not currently support the DX 11. If I get this error when you try to install DirectX 9. I had a similar problem with another game that I tried installing on another machine Win 7 which is not started in dual mode, and install DirectX 9 worked perfectly. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I should be able to help.Internet connection issues are widely available and vary from one case to another. Your question, however it seems that the most likely cause is that your computer's firewall prevents your applications to connect to the internet. You can check this easily by:1. go to the Start Page of Windows 'default Page of Windows 8.2 mouse hover in the top right of the screen then click on the search"" button.3. type in 'Control Panel' after a brief search you will see a button at the top of the page left labled 'Control Panel' click on this button and you go in desktop mode and allow you to navigate in the control panel.4 from there, click on the tab labeled "system and security."5. then, click on the second option in the list titled "Windows Firewall"6. the first thing you want to do is to check if you are on a "private" or "Public network" (a private network is usually the safest and although on this type of network, you are less likely to be vulnerable to attacks, Public network are accessible by anyone and give a greater risk).7 the right it will say Private Networks Connected / not connected and below that it will say comments or connected/not connected networks public. Most computer security settings differ based on your type of connection, if you are on a network audience of settings on your computer will be more strict and could prevent your programs connected to the internet. (Say if you are connected to a private network, you can probably exclude this.)8. If you are connected to a private network and your programs don't always work correctly in the top left of the window under "Control Panel Home" you want to click on the option "allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall."9 a list first your "Internet Capable of programs" quickly browse and find that you are having problems with and take note of the checkboxes next to them. If no box is checked, you will want to allow them to connect. Do this by clicking on the "Edit settings" button located in upper right10 you want then allow your program through the firewall, this by simply checking the box next to it. (Note that if the Public network that can leave your computer vulnerable or higher risk)11 after doing this click ok, now go back and try to run your program and see if the problem is resolved.12. If you cannot find your program, click the "Allow" another app... button and navigate to your programs (usually in the folder C: / drive in the folder programs.) and choose your program and adjust the settings to allow through the firewall.13 if this does not solve your problem, and the problem persists, try to go into Internet Explorer, by clicking on the gear in the top right and open Internet Options. Go to the Security tab and check how strict your settings are. You should be able to click on "Reset to Default" to solve this problem, if that's the problem. Have you checked the target line in the properties of the desktop shortcut?
You can check the suspicious extensions or recently installed unknowns.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

I installed an Alfred Workflow (see code below) that will mark all my mails as read. After you run it for a minute, the mail has crashed and I had to forcequit. However, now, when you open the Mail it crashes instantly, even after restart and repair the permissions. I also used the Ctrl + C and CTRL-Z commands in the Terminal to leave the alfred_script, but nothing helped. I'm running out of ideas here, so I hope you could help me either reinstall the mail.app. I could always just switch to a different mail application, but it's kind of a last resort.

Not sure that Alfred's, but it's just an Applescript script and it would not cause Mail to be planted.
However, when running through all the messages, it is possible Mail database has been corrupted and it crashes because of this.
I'll probably get anything out of the accident report, but others might.
My first instinct would be to rebuild the mailbox. Because you can't do that with him crashing, you can simply delete the databases and it will rebuild them.
Navigate to this folder:
~/Library/Mail/v3/MailData/
You can either manually through the files, or copy the full path and paste it into go the folder in the menu go to the Finder.
Remove the envelope Index files. Open Mail and see if it works well.
If your library does not appear in your folder, hold down the Option key and select library in the menu go to in the Finder.

I see that you are having problems with Game Center on your iPhone. I have a number of things for you to try.
First force quit Game Center.
- Press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used.
- Swipe to the left to find the Game Center app to close.
- Swipe up on the preview of the Game Center to close.
If this does not work, then the next step would be a restoration. I recommend restore like new, without backup restore and everything first. If it works there, you can restore the backup.
Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

CS5 - Action starts automatically when you open the program
I have CS5 and it was working properly until recently, now when you open the program first, it starts automatically perform an action, then I have to stop the action and continue with what I was doing. Does anyone have an idea how to stop this action without deleting? Thank you.
I guess you've planned somehow a script to run at startup. I have no more CS5, but in more recent versions of Photoshop, you can find Scripts under file and would go to the Scripts event Manager dialog box. You can see that I set this up to run the sticker to the startup action. To stop running just uncheck the events allow to run box. It's probably a little bit different in CS5, but you can probably get by on your own now.

Normally, when you open the page palette in InDesign, it is divided into two. The upper part is where is the master page (and a page named none), while the lower part is where are the actual pages of documents. Unfortunately when I opened my palette (InDesign CS 6 on a Mac), there is no upper and lower part of the page-only the lower part is displayed. When I put my cursor on my pages, it tells me that I "Applied A-master".
Why not my top shows (A-master and none)? The pages that I don't "Act" like master pages - for example, I can't get past page numbering.

It looks like the upper part may be in a State reduced - the line was pulled up.
Just of the cursor on the line that separates the upper and lower sections, and drag it to the bottom.
