• Where are DW site information stored?

  I just rebuilt the system on my computer (PC).

  I store all my data on the D drive, so there is a clear sepatation between the system and your data.

  After you have reinstalled, I need to create a new site and point to the folder where the files. No problem. Everything is OK. However, what lack us is like FTP site management features.

  This information is clearly wth no stored files in the site. So where is it stored so I can save this info. (I never back up system files because they are usually the problem - rarely the solution).

  If you have previously exported the site as .ste file definitions to a location of your choice, you can find and import them.

  Otherwise, I think that they are only stored in the Windows registry.

  For CS4, they are HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Common\10\Sites.

  Replace the '10' for other versions

  I just upgraded from 5.5 to the 2014 CC and now in Dreamweaver CS, none of my site definitions are here. What I have to start from scratch creating sites for all my sites and I can import them somewhere? Thank you.

  It's pretty simple to put on the sites...

  1. open the old DW

  2. Choose Site > Manage Sites > highlight sites > Export

  3. This will create your site settings .ste files

  4. close the old DW and open DW CC 2015

  5. go on the Site > Manage Sites > Import to import the .ste files

  After several rounds of uninstall then install Dreamweaver, I came to the conclusion that my site definitions are corrupt and need to go.

  Yes, it will be a pain in the neck again, but it is every time I go to "Manage Sites" make a change and click done all I get is the good old impeller. And it will run all night if I let him.

  Since I installed OS X 10.6 when I quit Dreamweaver it hangs and eventually I give up and make one forced to leave out an on with life. Now when I do something for the information on the site, it's the same thing.

  I deleted everything I can find that links to Dreamweaver after running the uninstall, but when I reinstall I'm still in the same place.

  The clues of what should be deleted and where?

  You will find the site definitions in:

  / Users/user/library/application support/Adobe/common/10/Sites/Site prefs.

  instead of trashing the file, you can try to move elsewhere, and even Dreamweaver to build a new and open the old pref with a texteditor (or Dreamwever himself) file and see if you can retrieve data from it by copying the data in the newly-formed file.

  Part of the problem is not so much finding sites that have articles on Oracle, that is to find reliable websites with this information.  When I search my site of certification for resources, I find a significant number of people who have 'technical' Articles on Oracle. However, many of these blog posts have simply no useful information.  It is not even that they are wrong so far as article does not include anything that is not declared more clearly and in detail in the documentation.

  That said, a site you have not mentioned above is the Oracle Learning Library.  There very often an excellent material that is very closely linked to the themes of the certification:

  That's the problem.  You must export site definition settings before uninstalling DW.  I hope that you did at one point and saved the .ste files to a safe place - either on your hard disk, external hard drive or outside the root on your remote server.

  If no .ste file have been exported, you must manually set the sites in your new installation by going to the Site > new site.  When you have finished defining your sites, don't forget to export STE files and save them in a good place

  I'm new to php. I am bound and determined to create a PHP site for a mySQL database (I was able to create 700 site database in MAMP - yay!) One more step!). Now, I want to set up a test page, to help me learn dynamic pages and have access to my database. I want to test pages locally, and not sure that I've implemented the new site correctly.

  When I type 'test', I get...

  ERROR: DW cannot use the prefix you have entered to display data in real time. I clicked on 'Help' but I was unable to solve the problem...

  None of the above.

  Your site definition is used locally by Dreamweaver so that Dreamweaver knows where your files are the remote and located so that it can manage the links and paths of files. That's all

  Your site server knows nothing about Dreamweaver site definitions. It hosts only the files.

  Your local files on your hard drive don't know about Dreamweaver site definitions. They sit right on your hard drive.

  The only way to lose files is to remove physically, either through Dreamweaver or via your operating system e.g. Windows Explorer.

  Bottomline, I'm frustrated by the method of collection, the albums, the place and date.  I want store related photos in a separate album.   Example: A library for a family, containing albums of members of their family. Maybe the photos have duplicate in different albums.

  I have not read method 4 5 methods before re install XP on top of the instalation of gooseberry.  Somehow, I had picked up Paladan or palladium that froze my system and wouldn't let me go unless I bought it.  So I used the recovery disc to repair XP.  Once I did I found that all my photos did not appear in my photos.  I installed Picasa and can send pictures very well.  I would like to get XP to recognize the photos so I can use Outlook to send photos.

  I read a few other posts and wonder why in method 4 to install in a separate folder?

  The installation disc said repair and I just let it go in automatic mode. How does the system decide which version to boot from?  When it is in a different folder with a new name?  Is it the latest version installed to boot from or what.

  Windows 7 supports access to FTP and WebDAV folders, as FTP command line.  There are other tools on the web such as FileZilla to download both files management, and many sites Web offers capabilities to download on their site directly.

  Set storeFactory = / atg/short/assembler/cartridge/manager/DefaultFileStoreFactory in /atg/endeca/assembler/cartridge/manager/DefaultWorkbenchContentSource.properties

  Make sure of course below are configured correctly

  -Site of short Id to the element of site must correspond with the name of the site in the Manager(Ex: If the site name in XM is "homeSite", then Endeca site id in the site item should be "/homeSite") experience

  -Set configurationPath=C:/Endeca/ToolsAndFrameworks/11.1.0/server/workspace/state/repository/ /atg/endeca/assembler/cartridge/manager/DefaultFileStoreFactory.properties

  -Create the user segment in XM to /homeSite as site.homeSite.

  Site definitions are stored in your Windows registry.  If your registry database does not have this information, there may be a problem with permissions or read/write.

  Try to run DW as administrator.  Right-click on the icon on your desktop.  See screenshot.
