  Many manufacturers of computers DO still have available Vista recovery discs.

  There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

  You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

  They should do this for a small fee.

  To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

  I think that he should t be a problem to buy a cable to other computer stores. These are only external cables with standardized connector.

  But you should only purchase high quality cables. I don't have good experience with less expensive cord, for example without shielding.

  Call Lenovo. When I called, they said they would mail me a (at the time, was for a Y450) for $180. One thing however, the installation is SUPER fun! (NO)

  I guess that the regional pricing may differ. You might be better off buying a used 2nd Y560 and hover over your hard drive.
