  My computer is a flag of Hewlett-Packard with an Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2220 @ 2.40 GHz 64-bit operating system using Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2.  The default browser which I use is Internet Explorer 64-bit.

  I am 80 years old and trying hard to get along with the computers.  Know that any assistance on this frustrating problem will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.  And please make your suggestions in great detail without as far I know very well.

  Hi Alex, you are doing great! On the Flash Player 9.0 and higher thing. A lot of sites that will tell. What they mean is that you must have at LEAST this version. In other words, if you have version 8 of the Flash Player, you could not use its Web site. We hope that help to explain these messages. Of course they will support version 10, etc..

Where you have all your programs in the list, such as Adobe Air, etc. is when Flash Player is listed. Flash Player does not list a size, since it is a browser plugin and works through your browser. The fact that you've listed it is where it should be. But the evidence that it is working and installed correctly is the fact that you found Shockwave Flash Object in the management addons and it helped him.   Computers Apple will ask your system password when installing new software. It's probably nothing to do with Adobe at all.
