  So here's what happened and how it was resolved. So I thought once I found the executable file in the elements camera raw, all I had to do was link in the preferences of Photo Mechanic. That's when I posted this query. Somewhere along the way, once I had observed that the raw function of the device elements would open the file directly, I discovered by accident that at the close of the elements, Photo Mechanic could pass successfully the Olympus ORF file and once the elements has reopened, could directly receive the image of Photo Mechanic. While not particularly a problem for a satisfactory resolution of problems-wise, I'm happy. So thank you for your kind attention.

  Usually, it is done with the update of Digital Camera RAW provided by apple compatibility.

  Unfortunately, it seems Yosemite 10.10 can use the necessary Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.04 and El Capitan 10.11 ships with support for this camera, but there is no update that takes in charge that the Mavericks 10.9.5 camera.

  Please provide details: you are not trying to change the file type by changing just the extension, are you?  That won't work of course,

  Either you try to run some type of script?

  To change a file type, you have TO open the file in Photoshop and do save as.  That can be automated.

  The 700 D requires Camera Raw 7.4 or later but is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 9.

  If you don't want to upgrade the PSE, you use the DNG Converter. You must copy your CR2 files in a folder and then use the DNG Converter to convert the files (CR2 to DNG), preferably in a new folder. Then you can import the DNG files in your PES 9.

  The DNG Converter is a standalone application and does not include EPS.

  It's more complicated than that.

  • Lightroom does not use the Camera Raw separate used by Photoshop plugin. Lightroom has the Camera Raw engine built into its code base. When you update to Lightroom, all Raw updates are included in Lightroom.
  • Compatibility of camera Raw plugin varies according to the version of Photoshop
    Camera Raw plugin and Adobe application compatibility
  • CS5 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 6.7.
  • CS6 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 9.1.1.
  • Only Cloud versions are compatible with current versions of Camera Raw.
  • To use Raw files in CS5 which require new versions of Camera Raw 6.7, to open the import dialog in Lightroom and "Copy as DNG". Open the DNG in CS5.
