  Sorry, maybe someone already asked this but I couldn't find an exact answer to my question.

  I currently have a FREE ESXi Server 4.1 with a FREE license key provided by VMWare, when I downloaded the product.

  I want to update my system (have 8 GB of RAM, so no problem with rights of vRAM) 5.0 hypervisor (ESXi 5.0)

  I downloaded the ISO and it displays a countdown of the 60 day trial in my VMWare account.

  But I've never had a license key for the FREE hypervisor 5.0 5.0.

  So my questions:

  1. hypervisor is 5.0 still a FREE product?
  2. a necessary or this license key will work just after the 60 day trial with limited functions?

  3. If a license key is required even for the FREE version. Why don't the VMWare Portal not provide me with a new 5.0 key?

  After login, click on the license tab and download, scroll up to where it says option 2: download ESXi. the license key is immediately below here. More far to the bottom of the page are links to binary files.

  Is not really from Microsoft, a collection of mostly volunteers trying to help out. According to this link (data sheet) there is no 'software' for this device, but it is compatible with various programs.

  I downloaded the iso 4.1.0 ESXI and can boot from the DVD, but after agreeing to the terms. The installation program will fail and I get this error:

  Easy.  You cannot use the card s300.

  S300 work only in windows environments.  I also learned that the way lasts.  (Thanks Dell!)

  I'm trying to understand how to configure a dedicated server of Dell R210 rented running VMware ESXi 5.1.0 build-799733

  This dedicated server is rented www.online.net and sits somewhere in France. One of its network adapters have an IP public 62.210.177.20x. The other NIC is here, but I do not understand how it is configured. According to the www.online.net portal, the other NETWORK card has or should have an IP 10.90.116.20x. And I am obviously set up is to have some virtual machines running and be able to access the Internet. I have access to the console of the server Dell through iDRAC and since I could see, one of the network adapters in the IP is 62.210.177.20x defined, and the other has been shown out of service. I managed to make it appear the other interface but I cannot find anywhere how to assign the IP address 10.90.116.20x to this 2^nd network adapter. But then again I don't even know if I should or if I need to assing a IP address to this 2^nd network adapter. What is the cable connected even for this 2^nd NIC? I do not know. Should it be - I'm not either. I don't know French and manuals/instructions on www.online.net are in French. I can try an online translator, but I don't think that what I'm looking for is explained. How do I get this set up? I have to do something about the ESXi on the server console? This interface 2^nd should be in place, or it must be down as if it was originally? Yesterday after watching someone videos on YouTube, I added the second virtual switch and moved the virtual hosts of this switch 2 and he entrusted the 2^nd NIC. But that 2^nd NIC had a red X next to it probably indicating that it was disconnected the 2^nd form virtual switch. • Impossible to find vmware-vdiskmanager

  I am to evaluate vmware ESXi and want to create a virtual disk to be shared between client computers.  All my research tells me that I need to run vmware-vdiskmanager.   I am unable to find it anywhere.

  I used SSH ssh in the ESXi host and even looked through / usr/bin and there is no indication of vmware-vdiskmanager

  Where can I get it or otherwise how can create a virtual disk?

  The guest operating system will only see the size that you have configured for the virtual disk and can only grow in this format. If you need more space, you can change the settings of the virtual machine and push the disc. After that, you will need to resize partitions that you created in your guest OS.

  I have a server at home with a Q6600 Quad Core and 8 GB RAM running with VMWare ESXi 3.5 for about 8 months now. I have 2 warehouses of data, with 1 TB (SATA HDs), each with 150 GB free and the other with 240 GB free. I have 9 virtual machines running 24 x 7 on it. Everything has been done, until yesterday.
  
  Out of the blues, I stopped to get the answers from the MV in the ESXi. Initially, I was able to connect using the Client Infrastructure but, when if I tried to get information from any virtual computer, I receive a message that the virtual machine could not be reached. Looking at the info from the host, he would show me info network, cpu, memory, but when I tried to reach the data store, it would normally stop responding. I couldn't open the located data store where ESXi is installed once, and all virtual machines were there. Now, I can not connect more, and I don't really know what to do.
  
  What is the best course of action to diagnose the problem? I can access the ESXi screen without problem, but I don't know what to do. I thought to reinstall, maybe with version 4.0, but I'm not sure I should do it. Where (and how) can I access what anyone who could help me figure what's wrong?

  See this post where you can learn some information about it.

  And as the OP commented you must correctly configure the raid1 disk controller's BIOS. Then the esxi should see a volume of disk raid1 logic.

  BTW, what disk controller you are using?

  Sometimes, if the drive controller is not really supported, just the physical disks are available for esxi, but not the volume raid1.

  I recommend you check the ESX(I) Compatibility Guide to ensure that your disk controller is supported.

  If you can't find the number that I myself could not because I got this Macbook from my college for my future course you should give AppleCare a call as once again, I myself did. They were able to confirm the serial number on my Macbook, take my personal information, register for my Macbook, and now I'm good to go! Then call AppleCare to get the situation sorted is definitely the way to go.   I would add a Schottky diode personalized my Multisim 11.0 schematic. I would use the Schottky diode symbol and don't know where to find the adequate .sym file. Is there a database of these files? Of course, another option would be to do it myself. However, I would be nice to know how to extract the .sym files existing symbols in Multisim.

  There is not a database with .sym files. However, you can take one of the symbols of control of databases and modify (if needed). Use the Component Wizard in Multisim to create your Schottky diode custom, when Multisim asks that you to the symbol information select copy of DB; in the Master database access Group of Diodes, Family SCHOTTKY_DIODE and select the most appropriate symbol, click OK. If you need to change this symbol just click change to open the symbol editor.
