Where to use the Oracle documentation when I do test CMO?
Hi allI want to know when I do my test COM 10 g. where can I find documents to check?
Thank you

I'm sorry for my English pool.
I mean when I entered the test room and make the test questions.
Where can I found the documents on the Machine test.
Is the same as my db to single instance installed on my PC.
Perhaps ORACLE_HOME/docs or somewhere. :)
The review of the CMO is currently conducted only in English.
I suspect that is because it is difficult, expensive and require a lot of resources to implement and even a company like Oracle would be difficult to implement in another language unless he had a great deal to do.
I suspect that you are unlikely to succeed unless you have a good command of English
I have indeed allowed for your poor English, believe me, I'm very bothered by my attempts to attempts to talk about the words of Spanish, French or German for people, who are the only three languages I've tried in vain to learn.
Exploration of the links already given indicates that familiarity with the documentation presented by the RTO is recommended... ie the browser interface. However a candidate of CMO level would have found it for themselves. And my imposes candidates CMO will run out of time, if they pass, but the smallest amount of time lookiing documentation.
(I guess that is a good indication for the candidates of the CMO then hit a problem don't get used to a quick google for a quick response as the bigdelboy usually done first, but get used to look in [http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/index.html])
I did not COM. It's very difficult... maybe too much for the old brain of bigdelboy.

When using the merge and when to use updated
Hi friends,
Given the best performance... purpose of this discussion is when we should use statement UPDATE and when we should use MERGE statement in oracle update of thousands of records.
Kindly Guide.
Kind regards
Himanshu
Hello
Looking for a couple to a few rules that you can use to decide whether to use the MERGE or UPDATE, without actually testing two meanings?
If so, use MERGE when
(1) (sometimes) need to add new lines
(2) it is simpler. This includes special cases
(2A) an UPDATE statement uses a subquery in the SET clause and then (mostly) repeats the same subquery in the WHERE clause
(2B) you want to use the analytical functions or CONNECT BY in a subquery
These rules are NOT guaranteed to work in all situations.
Kimmy says:
Hello
... My requirement is only UPDATED records about 200 to 500K (NOT followed by update of insertion).
So the rule (1) above does not apply in this case.
What I observed in the update using a MERGE statement and UPDATE is:
Update with the MERGER was faster however explain the bytes consumed to the query plan MERGE has been compared more update.
Use the tool that works best for your needs. If users are complaining that something shows more bytes used in a plan to explain, so maybe it's a reason for the UPDATE.
Where I work, where is the fastest is usually more important.
In addition, I want to get clearity
1. "if I should use MERGE if I need to update recrods using the unique table" as shown below: OR update will be good to use in this case:
MERGE INTO MKT_DATA inmkt
C using (SELECT Customer_Code, region, State OF CUSTOMER_DATA)
ON (inmkt. Distributor_Code = c.Customer_Code AND inmkt. DISTRIBUTOR_CODE IS NOT NULL)
WHEN MATCHED THEN
Updated the inmkt VALUE. Distributor_Region = c.Region,
inmkt. C.State = Distributor_Province;
UPDATE MKT_DATA inmkt
SET (inmkt. Distributor_Region, inmkt. Distributor_Province) =
(SELECT c.Region, c.State OF CUSTOMER_DATA c
WHERE c.Customer_Code = inmkt. Distributor_Code)
WHERE inmkt. DISTRIBUTOR_CODE IS NOT NULL;
2 statements above are not equivalent.
The UPDATE statement changes all the lines in the table mkt_data that have a distributor_code, this distributor_code be in the table customer_data or not.
You want something that is equivalent to the MERGE statement, you can use:
UPDATE MKT_DATA inmkt
SET (inmkt. Distributor_Region, inmkt. Distributor_Province) =
(SELECT c.Region, c.State
OF CUSTOMER_DATA c
WHERE c.Customer_Code = inmkt. Distributor_Code
)
WHERE THERE ARE
(SELECT 1
CUSTOMER_DATA C2
WHERE the c2. Customer_Code = inmkt. Distributor_Code
)
;
It basically uses the same auxiliary request 2 times (article 2 (a), so I would use MERGE if these are the results I wanted.
If you have a foreign key constraint, which ensures that each distributor_code in mkt_data will match a line in customer_data, then the 2 statements above will produce the same results. In this case, I find the UPDATE statement simpler and probably use it rather than MERGE.
2. to Updating huge amount of records MERGER must be used instead of update?
I don't know of all short reign as the "use X whenever you have more than 100,000 lines".
3. If in the update, I need to use several tables then I have to use MERGE?
MERGE IN MKT_DATA2 t
WITH THE HELP OF)
SELECT DISTINCT srt. Sales_Id, tmkt. Cust_Code, srt. PRODUCT_CENTER
OF srt, CUSTOMER_DATA c, MKT_DATA2 tmkt SALESTERR_PL
WHERE tmkt.state_Id = 10423
AND tmkt. Business = 'MARKETING'
AND c.CUST_CODE = tmkt. Cust_Code
AND c.Rollup_Code = srt. CUST_CODE
AND srt. PRODUCT_CENTER = tmkt.PL
) d
WE (t.state_Id = 10423
AND t.BA = 'MARKETING'
AND t.Cust_Code = d.Cust_Code
AND t.PL = d.PRODUCT_CENTER
AND t.Cust_Code IS NOT NULL
)
WHEN MATCHED THEN
UPDATE SET t.Sales_Id = d.Sales_Id;
UPDATE MKT_DATA2 tmkt
SET Sales_Id = (SELECT SALES_ID OF SALESTERR_PL srt
WHERE the srt. CUST_CODE = (SELECT ROLLUP_CODE FROM CUSTOMER_DATA c
WHERE c.CUSTOMER_CODE = tmkt. Cust_Code)
AND srt. PRODUCT_CENTER = tmkt.PL)
WHERE business = 'MARKETING'
AND state_Id = 10423;
Once again, those who are not equivalent. The UPDATE statement can change more lines than the MERGE statement.
In addition, you can use the MERGE statement:
MERGE IN MKT_DATA2 t
WITH THE HELP OF)
SELECT DISTINCT srt. Sales_Id, tmkt. Cust_Code, srt. PRODUCT_CENTER
OF srt, CUSTOMER_DATA c, MKT_DATA2 tmkt SALESTERR_PL
WHERE tmkt.state_Id = 10423
AND tmkt. Business = 'MARKETING'
AND c.CUST_CODE = tmkt. Cust_Code
AND c.Rollup_Code = srt. CUST_CODE
AND srt. PRODUCT_CENTER = tmkt.PL
) d
WE (t.Cust_Code = d.Cust_Code
AND t.PL = d.PRODUCT_CENTER
)
WHEN MATCHED THEN
UPDATE SET t.Sales_Id = d.Sales_Id
WHERE t.state_Id = 10423
AND t.BA = 'MARKETING'
- AND t.Cust_Code IS NOT NULL - does not need, said subquery 'c.CUST_CODE = tmkt. Cust_Code ".
;
If you would care to publish the sample data, I was able to test this.
4. when the UPDATE is preferred over the MERGER?
In simple cases, including situations where all you need to know are on the line itself, such as:
UPDATE emp
SET sal = sal * 1.05
Job WHERE NOT IN ('MANAGER', 'PRÉSIDENT')
;

Newer versions of oracle have implemented a great new technology to help solve problems, called "error messages." Unfortunately, I can't find any reference to an error message named 'is no longer able to connect.
And why you are moving your site from inventory? When you have installed oracle, he put the inventory where he wanted. There is no reason to try to change or replace.

Using the Update Manager when he is incapable of vMotion.
Using the Update Manager when he is incapable of vMotion.
I have three Essentials licensed 5.0 hosts and vCenter operating on one of them as a virtual machine. All VM runs on the local disk. I'm tired of patching of CLI and want to use the Update Manager. I can easily do that, on the other hand, two hosts where vCenter is not running but obviously not on the host where it is running.
I have a data store that is shared in the form of a QNAP NAS, but I can't Storage vMotion because of licensing restrictions. I can't do a vMotion "shared nothing" to another host due to the same restriction. It's like a catch-22 situation.
I have the service window where I can turn off all the virtual machine
Anyone has ideas on the use of Update Manager in this configuration or do I just forget about it
Clone the vCenter even to another VM and make the vcenter temp on another host or elsewhere to deploy a new vCenter on another host and update the host from there

question related to the Oracle documentation
Hello
I have a small doubt. Y at - there no standard doc Oracle who discuss about the standard RDBMS concepts like standardization, codd rules etc.
See you soon,.
Suri ;-)
In my humble OPINION, include the best way to understand the concepts of data modeling. I don't know that all of the Oracle documentation covers this area to the extent, but I found some books that give examples of explanations. These are old classic books, but the theory has not changed. The first two are good for designing OLTP and the last of them is good for data warehouses. OLTP books are CASE * method entity relationship modeling by Richard Barker and The Data Model Resource Book by Len Silverston. Both give a lot of examples with good explanations. The third is the Data Warehouse Toolkit by Ralph Kimball. Not everyone will agree with the logic, because there is room for interpretation when it comes to design concepts.

Application is not able to connect using the Oracle SCAN chain
Dear Oracle gurus
We have 11g r2 11.2.0.3.0 2 cluster nodes
We have configured the scanning using scan-vip single using/etc/hosts file resolution
Our app to work correctly using the string of double local Vip (10g method)
Scan works very well in the database server when we check using sqlplus
Works very well in the database server Oracle SCAN
Sqlplus DB - 1 test bench / testbed@my-db-scan:1521 / orcl
When we use it below URL JDBC in Tomcat Version-6 then "doesn't allow not to connect even if there will connect a while but connectivity isn't stable when we reboot the tomcat"
Hibernate.Connection.URL=jdbc:Oracle:Thin:@My-DB-Scan:1521/ORCL

How to pass variables by using the command line when starting from a native application ActionScript
How to pass in variables or arguments to start using the command line when starting a native ActionScript application? For example, I have my app MySweetWidget call and it was compiled with Adobe AIR runtime in captivity so now I have MySweetWidget.exe.
In the command line, I call MySweetWidget.exe and would like to pass in variables or properties of the application. I guess that these variables are read from the loaderInfo.parameters object.
Please let me know if the Adobe AIR runtime supports passing the parameters to native execution. If so, I would like to help determine the correct format of how pass variables. So would you want to read those loaderinfo.parameters object?
Thank you
Jeff
I found the answer to my own question:
Yes, it's a feature supported. It is documented on the following page:
When you subscribe to the event from the NativeApplication invoke it will subsequently send the event and you read the table of e.arguments object to get the start in the native application arguments.

Send an e-mail using the Oracle database
Hello!
I installed Oracle 10 g (10.2.0.4) and I need to send an email using this database. In some notes said to run the following script, but in my case Oracle I don't have the owner "MailSender" or the AptMail function.
Start
dbms_output.put_line (mailsender. AptMail ('p_from', 'p_to', null, null, 'p_subject', null, 'p_smtp_host', null, null, null));
END;
Can someone explain if it is the right method to send an email using the Oracle database? If so how can I install it?
Thank you
AugustoOracle 10.2 comes with UTL_MAIL package.
Give it a read through the documentation. It's pretty simple to use.

When using the docking station when my laptop can connect USB. printer, etc... ? I know that I can connect my laptop to a docking station.
Hello
With Docking Station, you can connect all the cables for printer, keyboard and mouse, adapter directly to the charging station.
So whenever you use a laptop, you have just dock the laptop on the docking station and not need to re connect all cables again.
This will help you when you move frequently with the laptop.
Docking station will save your time, outside any other aspect, that it has to offer.

When you use the pen tool when I click and create an anchor point and release the mouse button the pen tool emerges from the anchor and allow me to go and select a new anchor point. The right pen tool keeps adding lines that I move the mouse. How can I get the pen tool to release the anchor
Try this.go in the menus. Select cc illustrator > preferences > display selection & anchor > then make sure the box "activate the rubber band for" the pen tool is not selected. Then press OK. It should work.

I have Photoshop CC, and I want to use the tool "straighten" when cropping. For some reason any option "right", as well as the other options are not available. How can I activate those back?
Hello
You can try to reset preferences: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html
Also I want to say that reset preferences will make you lose your custom brushes and the presets.

SSL mutual authentication using the Oracle stored procedure
Hello
DB version:
Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production
Is possible to perform mutual authentication SSL uses the Oracle stored procedure?
I read articles and forums saying that it is not a good approach to call the Web service using the Oracle procedure (and I don't know if it's even possible authentication using procs). But I would like to know if it's possible and how.
In other is words there a way to incorporate the client certificate information into a procedure that calls a Web service.
I read the articles to do it in JAVA or .net. But please advice how we can achieve using Oracle procedures.
Thank you.934451 wrote:

To learn more. SSL what for?
Oracle PL/SQL only supports client standard TCP sockets. However, interface for HTTP, Oracle PL/SQL also supports HTTPS - which requires the certificates of authentication of the server to be stored in a portfolio of Oracle web and used during the transmission via HTTPS. See the code example {message identifier: = 1925297} for more details.

Forums and articles written by idiots. For idiots.
And no, I'm not to embellish my response to this pitch that you met. It is false. It is written by ignorant people who don't know ANYTHING about the use of Oracle and PL/SQL. And feel free to forward my response to these idiots. They find me here if they want to argue...
As an example of how to call a web service, see {message identifier: = 10158148} and {message: id = 10448611}.

I guess you're hurting understand the definition of Client instant, there isn't a tool or application or tool GUI as a sql developer or another that you can start using. It's just client installed with the minimum characteristics
If you want to use the right application tool install sql developer in your instant client or simply running sqlplusSee you soon
