Which books in iBooks reside?

Not sure about OSX Lion 10.7.5, but an iBook library was included in the Mavericks OS X 10.9(.5)

"Learn about iBooks for iOS and Mac, including how to get books and audio books

the iBook Store, how to organize your library and much more. »

iBooks for Mac was introduced with the Mavericks OS X 10.9; If your MacBook/Air information

your 13-inch Mid 2011 a Lion OS X 10.7.5. The current OS X version now who would have

include it would be El Capitan, unless there is a compatible update back to the older OS X.

So if you have an iDevice that can use ibooks ebooks, author of the ibook or other more recent products, then

they would probably need be able to synchronize with your Mac computer product in an appropriate OS X.

The other question would be what are they and what iOS do these current iDevices run? If you

upgrade too far in iOS for devices, they can't see or synchronize with a previous Mac OS X system.

I asked the CSA hosts to move this post subject to appropriate as discussion area it

has published in the Portable computer Apple iBook PowerPC G3/G4 material of harvest section.

Not exactly the best location for this topic because they have not been produced since late 2005.

Good luck & happy computing!

  • Drive on which Windows XP to reside is always labeled as a system drive. How can I make one of the other disks that has Vista or 7 that the new system?

    Change the system drive

I'll try to explain my situation better than I can.

My situation is that when I used to have XP installed, I had installed the only drive I had back then which is now the drive D, for a long time, so I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit, Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit installed on two different discs, Vista is installed on drive C and 7 is installed on drive E , but I don't have XP that I had managed to get rid of it.

My problem is that the drive on which Windows XP to reside has always left this disc marked as system in the disk management window, and I was wondering how to do that one of the other readers who has Vista or 7 that the new system?

I already managed to change the startup disk from drive where Vista is installed to, it's just that I need to change the disk that is marked as system to another drive, such as D drive begins to show signs that it comes at the end of his life and I would like to move the startup folder as well as the other files needed to start on the other.

I assume that you installed Windows XP 1, then Vista, 7 (these 2 OS not in order)?

And Vista and 7 was by all means upgrade installation?

Since originally, that you have installed Windows XP on drive D, it should be marked as 'system' and retains so the tag 'system '.

The volume of the 'system' should be identified as the first primary partition active. It may or may not have the files it contains.

The fact that the system considers "system drive" does not mean that there are files that it contains.

Now, you want to delete the existing volume and create a new volume. Needs to be done outside the facility.
When you start the cd or DVD to start the installation list us readers, if you remove the volume the volume drive letter is already booked, so you get the next available drive letter, do not re-use the deleted volume drive letter.

If he removed during installation and then recreated as a new volume (formatting does not remove the volume, you need to delete the volume and recreate it)

Try to format the XP partition and change the drive letter.

I have software version 9.3.1 on my iPhone 6 Plus.  As of today, none of my audio books in iBooks will play.  Could someone please advise how this can be solved?

What happens when you try to play (y yo get error messages?), and what did you see if that fixes it for example that you have:

-tried to close the iBooks application via the taskbar of the phone

    -do a soft-reset/reboot the phone

-deleted and synchronized their return from your computer's iTunes library (if you don't have them on your computer then file > devices > transfer purchases before deleting). Or you could, purchases on the iTunes store (and are still in the store and you have not reached the country since their purchase) be able to re-download them via the tab purchased in the iBooks app.

  • Books in iBooks not visible in iTunes

This problem appeared in the Yosemite and persists at El Capitan.  He is still rampant in iTunes 12.5.1.21 that just came out (September 2016).

The books in my library iBooks may be assigned to my iDevices via iTunes.  When I boot my Mac, launch iTunes, select a device (for example, iPad) and click on books in the sidebar, I see all the books in my library, iBooks.

However, if I close iTunes and then reopen it again books are not visible.

    It is repeatable.

    Hello Bernard,.

Looks like your iBooks library seems to be disappearing from iTunes when you close and re open the app and it has happened for a long time. First, he need to know if this is happening to another user on your computer. Use this article to test this possibility and let us know how it works in another user:

OS X El Capitan: set up users on your Mac.

      • Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click users and groups.

      • Click on the lock icon to unlock, then enter an administrator name and password.

      • Click on the button Add below the list of users.

      • On the pop-up menu click new account, and then choose a user type.

        • Administrator: An administrator can add and manage other users, install applications, and change the settings. The new user that you create when you set up your Mac is an administrator. Your Mac can have multiple administrators. You can create new ones and convert standard users to administrators. Don't set up the automatic connection to an administrator. If you do, someone could simply restart your Mac and access with administrator privileges. To secure your Mac, don't share administrator names and passwords.

      • Enter a display name for the new user. An account name is automatically generated. To use a different account name, enter it now, you can't change it later.

      • Enter a password for the user, and then enter again to verify. Using an index of password is recommended to help the user remember the password.

      • Click on create user.

You may need to copy some of the books to the new user using iCloud drive or download your past buys iBook for testing purposes. For more information, see the following articles:

  • Which book is good to learn the fundamentals of SQL?

    Hello world

I am preparing for the exam-1Z0-051 (Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I).

I want to know which of the two works is best for the preparation and covers each topic in great depth.
1 oracle Database 11 g SQL by Jason Price
2 oracle Database 11 g the complete reference by Kevin Loney

I have no prior experience in SQL. Your advice will be appreciated.

    Hello

Here is a book that got good reviews:

Oracle SQL By Example (4th Edition)
    Alice Rischert, 2009
    Publisher is Prentice-Hall.
    ISBN-10: 0137142838
    ISBN-13: 978-0137142835

Unfortunately, I don't have a copy, so this 'recommendation' is hearsay. It is very well regarded. Personally, I like to learn by example.

The remaining books I mentioned are not specific Oracle (which, depending on your point of view, could be a good thing)

I use the following book to learn SQL:

    SQL Cookbook
    By Anthony Molinaro
    Publisher: O'Reilly
    Pub Date: December 2005
    Print ISBN-10: 0-596-00976-3
    Print ISBN-13: 978-0-59-600976-2

I recommend this book with some reservations. In most of the solutions he gives he relies on totally artificial relationships in the data (relying on anything other than forced relationships in the data is a very bad thing to do!). If you study the way I do then, these bad solutions are actually a good thing, reworking poor solutions into something that is worthy of the production is a great exercise. Finally, if you have decided to learn by using this book, you will need to read the Oracle manuals for complete information (good thing to do anyway.)

    I also used

    The Practical SQL Handbook
By Judy S. Bowman, Sandra L. Emerson and Marcy Darnovsky
    Publisher: Addison Wesley Publishing
    ISBN: 0-201-62623-3

I consider this book a very good book. Chapter 2 is probably the best short, concise and lucid explanation I've read about how design and normalize a database, why index, no index on a column and other basic concepts of database design. (I want that most DBAs had read this chapter :(). Information on these topics are presented in a single chapter, however, they do a better job at what other books do hundreds, if not thousand + pages. Their explanation of the SQL language is good, but slow the pace for my taste. However, Chapter 2 alone is worth the price of the book.

Finally, is something I recommend, do not learn only what the test requires. You want to KNOW your stuff. The test is a mere formality, being aware of what they ask, but do not limit your knowledge development in the area defined by the test.

    HTH and good luck,

    John.

  • I recently bought a book from iBooks

I noticed that the book I bought and downloaded last week and paid there a lot of highlights and notes

Apparently it seems that 'The Element' book was purchased by me.

    Why charge me again?

You can respond to my email

< Email published by host >

    Thank you

Do not post your email address (unless you want to send spam), these are public forums, no support nor Apple iTunes users - I asked the host to remove it.

When recharged? This is a book you bought only last week? Does show twice on the purchase of your account history? If this is the case, it's exactly the same book (e.g. publishers have not removed and replaced and you have not reached the country since the first purchase)? • Which books are best suited to start learning Java?

What books complete and up-to-date would be best suited to start learning Java from scratch?

    Thanks in advance.

I start with the java tutorial online free and see how far you can get with it.

    http://download.Oracle.com/javase/tutorial/

Edit: I see from your other thread you are interested in the swing also. Swing is not easy, especially if you still don't know the language, tools and the important pieces of the API. But there is also a full Swing tutorial that contains everything you need to know, including lots of copy/paste code example:
